I tried it, and it came pretty well, if not like this. But I am so happy because I used to struggle while cutting the fruit easier, but now I'm loving 🥰 Thank you so much.
Wow! I have never seen anyone do this before. This is my favorite fruit! I really enjoyed watching this. Thanks for taking the time to create this video!
Avoid following this method of cutting a jackfruit; stick to the traditional method. For a change, i had followed the method shown in the video, today. VWhat seemed to be very satisfying in the beginning, soon turned out to be a huge headache. The cleaning part of the small individual pieces of the fruit is super time consuming in this method.
jackfruits are classified as of two general types: 1) Koozha chakka, the fruits of which have small, fibrous, soft, mushy, but very sweet carpels; 2) Koozha pazham, more important commercially, with crisp carpers of high quality known as Varika. We can peel koozha chakka using this method, not koozha pazham.

@sophia wallace It depends. The ripe one is sweet but a different type of sweetness; also aromatic. They sell canned or bottled ones, mostly in Oriental stores, if you want to just try it first. If it's unripe, you cook it like a vegetable. It will not be sweet. We cook it with meat and shrimp with coconut milk.
I tried to find a tutorial on how to peel a jack fruit. This is good and I will try it later. I hope I can do it too. I know it looks easy on the video but I will use this method. Thank you Nila's Kitchen.
Vow yummy yummy . ..... If anyone don't know ..what to do about seeds ..just fry them in a pan and remove the peel and eat..you will say king of nuts is not pista or cashew but jack fruit seeds after fried. .........
Excellent method. I went to the farmer's market yesterday and purchased two jackfruits. Now, I purposely purchased an unripened one and a ripened one. This method worked like a charm on the ripened one. Unfortunately, it didn't work on the unripened one. I actually prefer jackfruit unripened. I'm talking picked right off of the damn tree. Texture-wise, it's smoother and it's a little sweeter. Both are delicious, but unripened is where it's at for me.
LaChele I also prefer it less ripened. Don’t like the texture of the fully ripened ones. And the taste is different too. Not as tasty. I like ripened but not fully or really really soft. Needs to be slightly hard. Just a touch.
What a bummer, I just cut my very 1st jackfruit that I bought from Kroger’s which was exciting because the only jackfruit is ever eaten was the canned and I made it barbecued, this fresh one was greenish brown, and the skin was thick, not at all sappy, and it was not easy to cut....I got 2 gallon size plastic bags worth of fruit after cleaning it, the fruit is good, kinda like a dehydrated mango maybe...will definitely get another one and let it sit longer to ripen more, so they continue to ripen on their own? Any suggestions for what to do with so much of this fruit?
Wow ! I love jackfruit but getting into it almost stopped me from eating it , well thank u very much now I'll go in for the soft variety and have a gourmet with my lazy kids . And yeah by the way eating a lot of it causes stomach ache , a friend showed me an antidote , all u have to do is after you have had your fill just chew one jackfruit seed and swollow it. It really workes .
I love Jack fruit!!! I had never eaten one until I visited my wife’s family in Brazil! I posted a video on my channel “Joe Columbus” of me trying to open one and... it is so hard! 🤪 This vídeo is easy to follow though, thanks! @@LaCheleWallace but ripened is much much sweeter. So why raw ? You tried it both ways ?
