- Join UK-based professional photographer and film-maker Jack Redgate to find out his thoughts on why the SIGMA 28-45mm F1.8 is the ultimate hybrid lens for stills and video.
Not only is it the only full-frame F1.8 mirrorless zoom ever made, which makes it completely unique in the market, but the 28-45mm comes with a weather-resistant structure, an inner zoom mechanism, an ultra-fast HLA focus motor, prime lens-class image quality, an aperture ring with de-click and lock functions and a lockable lens hood. And the whole thing weighs in at less than 1kg.
Available for L-Mount | Sony E-mount mirrorless systems

Sigma on top of their game again !
Excellent video @Sigmauk! I'm still saving for the 16-28 C (the 70-200 Sports nicked it!) so this one will be added to the Wish List :)
now this is new..!!
Sigma lenses are great. But I cannot understand why anyone would need a 1.8 aperture lens. Surely most photographs are taken at smaller apertures? Or am I missing something?
Consider this..
'Bokeh', background blurring of everything but the foreground Subject, gives very pleasing 3D effect & seperation & swirling effects.
In other words, sharp subject detail & soft background, foreground..
Secondary benefits are low light, faster shutter speeds at low iso... f1.8 throughout..meaning less grainy images & pixilated detail, more solid colours.
I have x2 - f1.4 lenses & all of the above is unquestionably true.
Buy a F1.8, or F1.4, F1.2 lens & test the above, while maintaining best exposure & shutter if handheld
So this lens is just as sharp at 1.8 as at any other aperture then? If that is the case then that would be fantastic, but I have never heard of that before from any other professional photographic source.
does everyone do video/pictures with presets this days ? It's semm like everyone the same presets and because of that is no longer original .
