This is the exact same combo I recommend to people regularly. Kudos for not trying to upsell people on more than they need. I encourage the few extra bucks for the black cover like you gave a nod to, and an umbrella diffuser, because then you have shoot-through, shoot-in, and softbox in one affordable package.
Ya it's a killer combo! Totally agree that the black cover and umbrella diffuser are a great next step. Thanks Seymoure!
@@TaylorWillard Can we get a recommended package for this setup if we're ready to move past the umbrella?
@TaylorWillard thks, i love this simple explanation! can u also share a link to see what that suggested next step set up might look like pls (and how might it give an all-in-1 "softbox") Novice here.
Nice quality video. I didn't need the information. I stayed because it was visually interesting. Colors, lighting. Well done. (Also funny, Squarespace haha)

i found your unique story telling and detailed and friendly explanation rather stunning. i hope you're on the journey of finding the audience your video quality resembles!
i'd love to learn more from your pov of how you developed a variety of skills as a photographer, meaning both practical, as strategic problem solving, e.g. how you would set a roadmap for what you/one want/s to offer in your/their first portfolio and how to reach social standings & clients in the developing phase of networking.
Thanks and glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the ideas for future videos too!
Great content! You’re on your way to the top.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Just stumbled across your first video on UA-cam ... A great start with a very well done and humorous video ... keep it up! Looking forward to seeing how it continues.
Thanks ThePokiman! Appreciate it!
Phenomenal video
Thanks Austin, glad you enjoyed it!
I truly enjoyed watching this! I have been scared to try flash photography but i'm making the jump in. I recently bought a softbox and a godox ad200 to play with so thank you for explaining how to get started :)
Awesome, glad it helped! And proud of you for getting past that fear of trying it!
Just got the v860iii and x2t and found your video looking at budget modifiers and setups. I've been a hobbyist for maybe 10 years or so but flash has always intimidated me. Ive realized that flash is just such a game changer though and adds so much dimension and sharpness. A video I'd like to see would be on getting side gigs as a photographer. I have a full time job, and don't think I'd like being a full time photographer, but would love if i could get myself a few portraits here amd there to put money back into the hobby.
Subbed and liked - thanks!
Awesome! Congrats on the purchase and diving into the world of flash. It can definitely be intimidating at first but glad you chose to try it out and are loving the results. Thanks for the comment and suggestion on future content!
