JOE COCKER DO NOT NEED TO BE IN THE ALL OF FAME JOE COCKER IS THE HALL OF FAME !!!!!!!
It's like saying the Bible can contain God
Preach!
0:14 Joe's reaction to that rising, fuzzed out guitar intro, will never not be hilarious
Rest in power, Sheffield's soul singing son
He might’ve had a raspy rock and roll voice but that boy could get the melody out of every song perfectly.
Joe Cocker is great. No doubt about it. He's a cold bloodied Entertainer & Singer.
A truly powerful soul!👍
On this day in 1969 {November 20th} Joe Cocker was guest on the Philadephia-based syndicated television program 'The Mike Douglas Show'...
Ten days later on November 30th his covered version of "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window" entered Billboard's Top 100 chart at position #94, nine weeks later it would peak at #30 {for 2 weeks} and it spent twelve weeks on the Top 100...
On the day Joe Cocker's covered version enter the Top 100, the Beatles album, 'Abbey Road', was in its 6th week at being #1 on Billboard's Top 200 Album chart...
Between 1968 and 1990 he had twenty-one Top 100 records; four* made the Top 10 with one reaching #1, "Up Where We Belong", a duet with Jennifer Warnes, for 3 weeks on October 31st, 1982...
Joe Cocker, born John Robert Cocker, passed away at the age of 70 on December 22nd, 2014...
May he R.I.P.
* He just missed having five Top 10 records when "Cry Me A River" peaked at #11 {for 2 weeks} in 1970...
How dare they put him on stage without his band?!?! Also, Joe is the absolute best.
Does not come from the head, the heart, but from the gut!
This was my most favorite song of Joe Cocker. I love the lyrics! It is in my playlists!
You do know it's a cover right?
Get the album or the early greatest hits of Joe you're missing some excellent music and lyrics... peace
Love to drum to this one! God broke the mold on Joe. SO unique. RIP baby!
She came in through the bathroom window, but Joe just walked right into heaven
What a great voice, raspy , sexy that Joe Cocker had, and with fantastic music . Loved him then , loved him all through his long career . He was my idol, and it was a sad day when I found out he pass on. But Mr Cocker left us the choice of listening to all his beautiful songs . What pleasure to have dream that some day I would see Joe Cocker performed but I never did , and yes John King it would have been great to see his saran wrap drawers in real life!! RIP MY Joe
thank god for film.....can bring a young Joe Cocker right in front of our eyes.
Joe Cocker looking mighty snazzy on French TV , while dressed in shiny brand new leather pants... plus a prim n proper cardigan sweater...! COOL 😎❤🎤🎶🎸🎷🎹🥁🔊
Love this man he's the real deal awesome rockin roller ❤❤❤❤
There will NEVER be another...
fabulous singer!
The source of his power is those chops. His chops got chops.
What's the world coming too when a French announcer clad in a bow tie introduces the greatest blues man to come out of England?
yea go figure
And what's with the tape measure coming out of his mouth? smh
gotta love those saran wrap drawers! Only Joe could pull off that look!
love the pants Joe. Miss that incredible pure talent.....
Ciao Joe.lieto di averti sentito nel'70 per la prima volta...dopo mezzo secolo ancora Woodstock,l'organo di With a little help mi fanno venire i brividi...Tanti saluti, ovunque tu sia ora...
Crazy Joe. You're the best
I never really got into the whole French New Wave cinema movement thing, but I've got to say this version of Frankenstein meets Doctor Who is pretty amazing.
Bless your heart Joe, such a really good singer and entertainer, you are surely missed, on a liter note, wish I know that girl in pics beside him..
how can u not love this if u were there in the time then u can't
WOW!! I've never seen this version. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for this mon Amie
So good!!
Tarantino's got to find a way to use this song in his next film
Interesting video......R.I.P. Joe.....
Look at those awesome werewolf chops man. Far out
+Pcv Valve Groovy man
That man knew how to rock tie dye and facial hair
woww!
Big song bigger singer
Whats a brother gotta do to get in the hall of fame? This has been shameful!
About time someone else felt this bs the way I have. I mean, Dion vinucci is in the hall and Joe isn't? One more reason I refuse to visit the HOF in my hometown of Cleveland!
The one and only, this man should have been in the hall immediately upon its opening. Goddamn disgrace
Kick Ass! I only knew this song by Ike & Tina Turner. Had the pleasure of seeing Joe live when he opened for Tina Turner in 2000. He brought the house down!
It's originally by The Beatles, from Abby Road.
@@chillertheater and Tina covered that song too. It's incredible!
He burned more calories singing this one song than I do in a week. Aw Joe ...way too soon , Dude , way too soon.
None like him.
I’m glad we had him at all
darkangels3000 that’s how I stay in shape around the house😂 I vacuum like Joe you should see my lines...
When did he pass away? This white boy has some soul!! Man he can hit some great notes.
grande Joe
Never came out as MS, but did some charity work for it. I can remember him in Jr High, late 60's
Thank-you.
Awesome...R.I.P. Joe
We just don't have artists like this anymore and if we do they will never be famous cuz of wack ass artists ..... God damn this is music
Miss you Joe 💕💕
Quelle voix s'est éteinte !!
Dang, Joe be packing some heat.
I liked the talk part of it at the end almost as much.
R.I.P. Joe
Poor Joe, trapped in a French Vogue. The acid must be terrible.
He definitely possessed that freak gene of people that can translate music like that.
Nel 69 avevo 2 anni:: vorrei rivivere da ventenne, anche un solo giorno nel 1971 per portare i basettoni neri come Joe Cocker...
Ora sono brizzolati, quasi bianchi, somiglio più a Paperone che
a Joe Cocker....
A chi lo dici! Io anche solo per ritornare bambino...ua-cam.com/video/qd7RLCws1qw/v-deo.html
So does anyone with a good ear for French know if the cool cats are talking about Joe and his performance after the song? A great talent, who made one of his more checkered performances in my hometown, Saginaw, MI in the mid '70s.
No, they are not talking about Joe or his performance.
3:04 lol hes like "ok people thats enough. im done." LOL love joe
She came in through the bathroom window
Protected by a silver spoon
But now she sucks her thumb and wanders
By the banks of her own lagoon
Didn't anybody tell her?
Didn't anybody see?
Sunday's on the phone to Monday,
Tuesday's on the phone to me
She said she'd always been a dancer
She worked at 15 clubs a day
And though she thought I knew the answer
Well I knew what I could not say.
And so I quit the police department
And got myself a steady job
And though she tried her best to help me
She could steal but she could not rob
Didn't anybody tell her?
Didn't anybody see?
Sunday's on the phone to Monday,
Tuesday's on the phone to me
Oh yeah...
Not by today's standards maybe, but his dance moves are awesome :D
People thought his movements strange, but he was always perfectly in rhythm. It doesn't happen particularly in this song, but if you watch his other performances from this time you can see him go into a kind of trance and the music takes over his body completely. Fascinating.
❤️
Nice pacing on the trip from one mic stand to the next during the solos in the middle.
Don’t know how he made it in time; he was grooving so hard
I was worried that he might not make it on time. Hehe. I love you mighty Joe!
Q maestro!!.
Wager he's a lead vocalist in a greatest band!
Joe Cocker me gusta tanto como los grupos SUPERTRAMP y BEE GEES.
Joe was the SHIT R.I.P
0:14 👍🏼🤩👍🏼
I guess that's how he played that guitar riff because air guitar wasn't sufficient for the slide
Catherine Hiller LaValle 👍🏻🤣👍🏻
"...she worked a fifteen clubs a day....
Wonder what the music he was playing with his hands would sound like if made audible
Nobody covers a song like Joe
Here’s return to tradition.
It’s so hard to be normal.
(He says) Jesus Christ - It is hard to be normal.
Open yourself to everything, then tell a goodness story.
50 Years Latter
French 1969,,, I Must Be In Some Kind Of Fucking Conspiracy.
Better than Beatles original..
I'm waiting for the Tele-tubbies to join him in the mirror-maze!
Me too. It seems they were tripping in the green room. And they disagreed about what colour it was.
looks like this dude is on heavy trip...
It's called getting into the music.
its almost like each limb is an instrument.. in his head hes making all of the music. id say high as fuck
sagar bhattacharjee Sounds like you're too young to dig it. TOO fucking bad for you pal.
I can always relate to` a to high guy🙄
@@tsterioff That's just the way he was. Moved with the music because he couldn't help himself. I doubt he's high.
I didn't know Henry Winkler spoke French.
Ian Anderson copied these moves in early Jethro Tull performances.
Joe is just a tad off with his timing here and there. Can't imagine the reason, maybe this is an very early recording of him performing this song, and he hadn't got it down just yet. Still one of my all time favorite soul singers.
It’s on purpose and it’s called back phrasing
Major league side burns.
ОН КАК БУДТО НА ОГОЛЁННЫЙ ПРОВОД НАСТУПИЛ)))))
Se le daba bien versionear a los Beatles
The spazing dead
Why did you do it Tuesday Weld.
Trolling. What is he smooth brain?
Check out a fun, new quarantine collab version of this tune! ua-cam.com/video/8UfvjP_x8Fg/v-deo.html
So, i quit the police department...
LMFAO This Guy Looks Like Brandon Frazier
best hair everrrr. PS- drugs will kill you way too soon. Just say No.
Don't be stupid He died of cancer, aged 70.
But according to many sites in the entertainment industry, he destroyed his body and its ability to perform because of the years of alcohol and drug abuse. Web-sites aren't always the most reliable source of facts, but this does fit well with the way life was back then.
He drank a lot when he was younger (70s-80s).
But I reckon the drug thing is way too hyped.
Beatiful! I Remember 👍👌
@1:45 is that what I think it is????
lol
French TV...no??
Was he high here?
***** Probably. The hippies did a LOT of drugs back then.
Probably not. He didn't get heavy into drugs until later
My wife said he looks like A gumby with a hot dog in pants playing air drums...and geitar???
wonder if Mike Love taught him those moves
