Your eyes and smile are so joyful, they just light up the screen, all of your reactions are so heartfelt.I don't know how old you are but you are an old soul.
That’s what music was all about then. Nothing compares or even comes close to this era of music. I’m homered to have had experience this. Ze Mad Dog, Ze Englishman, Ze Joe Cocker.
The Hippie Guitary player wearing top hat is LEON RUSSELL. The genius behind it all. WROTE songs like "Superstart" and "This Masquerade" among others.....he MADE Joe with this tour.
I just also want to say that watching your channel , your reactions makes me feel great inside , like you angel face , beautiful smile and positive vibrations are a pleasure to watch. thanks for the entertainment and great songs Morenikeji !
Glad you like him, I was so lucky to see him in concert in the early 70's, in the San Francisco Bay area and it was as wild as you can imagine. The 70's where the best for music. And I must confess you are beautiful.
Joe Cocker was an experience in himself. Unique. I'm old enough to have seen him in Woodstock and he mesmerized half a million people. It's that one experience in my life that I go to when life in this world gets too much. Something not too many know is that Joe would refuse to sing at any segregated venues.
The guitar player with the top hat is Leon Russell and one of the female backup singers is Rita Coolidge. Leon co-wrote and Rita was the first to record your favorite Carpenters song, "Superstar" How's that for some trivia?
Jim Gordon on drums. A legend who played sessions (including Steely Dan) and live with the likes of Derek and the Dominoes, Delany and Bonnie, etc. etc. until mental illness took over and ... well, it's a sad, sad story.
Another great cover by Joe is "The Letter". It is from the Box Tops back in 1967. Joe's version is from around 1970 I think. Both are worth a listen even if you don't post a reaction.
This is from "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" , Fillmore East 1970, a concert film/record he did with the legendary pianist/arranger/songwriter Leon Russell (The guy with the top hat). Russell put the whole show together, bringing fellow friends and great musicians together. You should watch from the same concert Joe Cocker performing "The letter", and another Beatles cover "Something" which both are really impressive and emotional.
Mad Dogs & Englishmen. Joe Cocker, Leon Russell, Rita Coolidge & Claudia Linnear on background vocals. You don't get much better than that. Joe Cocker had so many good songs in the course of his career.
Saw Joe as a teenager in 1975, I think. Sat in the second row. I remember thinking "Wow! We'll be close enough for Joe to spit on us!" You know, from his singing. Great show! Great reaction! Thanks
One of my all-time favourite artists. I was 14 years old when I first heard this cover and it shaped my musical tastes forever. I love his cover of "Put your hat on". The thing that I liked the most is your reaction and appreciation for the music of my generation. Stay healthy and keep up your videos. You made me happy today. Thank you.
It's so heartwarming to see a young person discover such an important part of our shared heritage. Please keep it alive because these artists and the fans that loved them won't last forever but their music must.
My Brother Sat Me Down As A Small Boy And Said "Watch This'..Joe Cocker Live At Woodstock.!!..OMG..I Couldn't Believe It.. Just Like You.. Amazing Reaction 🇬🇧
And I get HIGH with a little help from my "long distance" friends right here on UA-cam, listening to and watching these great musical songs and performances, and the genuine, heartfelt reactions from intelligent and sensitive people like you, Morenikeji ! You caught the emotional greatness of Joe Cocker and his rendition of this Beatles classic right from the start!
What a legend, one of a kind , just unbelievable brilliant RIP Joe. Always love your reaction, but your reaction to this was just fantastic the joy on your beautiful face was just beautiful to watch well done baby girl . I going to watch it again
Hi There Sweetie. God, you were so much fun to watch this piece of music with! Thank You for that, it was wonderful. Whenever Joe Cocker performed, he always shared his Soul with the listeners as he Always gave 100% of himself as well. I was just thinking back to the time that I heard all of these songs, when they were all brand new. The 60's & 70's were a magic time for music abd I'll be the first to admit that we were absolutely Spoiled, Musically back then. Back when Musicians Wrote their own Music, Played an instrument and Sang all at the same time even! No Auto-Tune, no Drum Machines, no taking portions of other Artists music to incorporate into some bastardized piece of crap and call it their own either. Amazing, right? Analogue over Digital, every time! Can I get an Amen?
I think you would also love his Woodstock performance, maybe more. The studio version is fabulous of course. BTW, your beauty is amazing, inside and out.
Love your joy of music :) Hard to believe I could actually like a Beatles song done by another, better! This was an awesome video. Joe Cocker was one of a kind.
If musical autism exists I'm sure Joe Cocker has it, he puts his whole body into the song like some sort of saintly singing savant leaving the audience with no other option but to be in awe. Loved the reaction :)
This is from the Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour which I was fortunate to attend when they came to Denver in, if I remember correctly, 1970. It was exactly what you imagine, but better than that because it was live. What a night!
This was an anthem of a generation. Joe Cocker, Leon Russel and a whole bunch of famous musicians got together to form this "mad dogs and englishman" concert/movie. That was the best cover of any song ever ... yes it finishes with 2 drum kits and back up singers doing their thing :):)
Throughout Joes career, doing this song with different backups and musicians actually changed the dynamics of the sound of the song, particularly as he got much older. Joe was known to love his Beer, and consequently took a toll as time went on. His best and most coherent voice was Late 60;s to late 80;s However with "A little help from his friends," still made fantastic music. May his soul soar far and wide ! RIP Joe.
Joe Cocker is just amazing, he has such a powerful voice, he putts so much passion in his songs and shows his a awesome personality. The concert's are a real highlight. Lady, your smile is so awesome too.
I remember when a friend of mine first showed this exact video to me, I think I said at the end 'this is one of those songs that you just know is important'
i saw Joe Cocker perform this song in concert in 1969. He was pretty much unknown at the time and I certainly didn't know who he was. But he blew my mind for sure. :-)
That man with the hat is Leon Russell. The 1960's music revolution would not have happened without Leon Russell. You are seeing the musical genius of a lot of people here. The song was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney from The Beatles. Leon Russel was the band leader and he put this entire band together made up of some of the best session players in the world with very little time to do it.
this song means a lot to me. i have suffered from severe depression for the last 20 years and this song is like an injection of strength for me. when the fog is getting darker and catch my mindand i run the risk of isolating myself, this song helps me to call for help and not to lose contact with the world. So music can help and give a positive Push. Thanks Joe for this powerfull Song
This is from The "Mad Dogs & Englishman" tour, a whole lot of talent on stage with Joe - Leon Russell and Rita Coolidge, to name a few. "Feelin' Alright?" from the same tour is classic.. "Space Captain" as well.
I saw this concert movie. ( documentary) there is a wonderful part outside two girls fans were outside they couldn't get tickets but travelled a long way just hope to see him and listen from outside. He said hello taked them , and had someone find them and get them backstage passes.
Those coming to this song for the first time now or in recent years, can never get the full vibe from Joe's version unless being familiar, back in the day with hearing only the Beatles original for a solid year before Joe did it. The impact was unexpected and mega.
This guy is a legend he played at Woodstock.
Please watch the whole "mad dogs and English men "album.

Incredible joe cocker creation even in the year 10000 people will praise this classic
Joe Cocker. One of a kind. Very empathetic to music. He would feel it course through his body. That voice! R.I.P. Joe.
Two legends on the same stage...Joe Cocker and Leon Russell.
Please never stop smiling. It is what keeps all of us coming back. So beautiful. Thank you for all your videos.
Thank you!💗💗💗
Some music legends on that stage. Leon Russell in the Top Hat…
I've always loved the top hat.
To see your unbridled joy throughout, listening to a song of my generation, was a pleasure to see.
RIP Joe.
You have made a world a little better.
Thank you.

Its so hard to watch Joe Cocker performing with your beautiful face in the background...both are AMAZING !!
Joe Cocker doing it with a little help from his friends in backup vocals and on the drums - and of course, my favorite baby-girl's radiant smiles.
Glad you like him, I was so lucky to see him in concert in the early 70's, in the San Francisco Bay area and it was as wild as you can imagine. The 70's where the best for music. And I must confess you are beautiful.
This is why they call 60’s, 70’s and 80’s rock classic rock. Glad I was around in those days. Totally amazing!

You‘ve chosen one of Joe‘s finest songs, young lady.
Thank you, Mo! Good choice! Cocker forever!
A master , and we lost a great one! Check out Leon Russell, with the hat in the background. Another great!
The guitar player with the top hat is Leon Russell and one of the female backup singers is Rita Coolidge. Leon co-wrote and Rita was the first to record your favorite Carpenters song, "Superstar" How's that for some trivia?
Knew Leon Russell but had NO idea Rita was one of the backup singers, Joe is Legend but the backups take this to the next level also.

You MUST watch "You Are So Beautiful" , the live version. He's wearing a black T-shirt. It near the end of his career. It is pure Joe, so heartfelt.
