i used to think that cozy powell had the heaviest touch from the classic rock era 67-76, but i decided to change my vote to carmine.

As I drummer, I saw him as a model. Mitch Mitchell, Don Brewer, John Bonham, and (of course) Ginger Baker. Man, did I want to be them. Memories!

A lot of people think that Keith Moon was the role model for The Muppet's Animal. Hmmm. I tend to see Carmine there.

Every garage band I was ever in played this one, going 20 or 30 minutes. Fun to play and everyone knew it.
When I finally got into a good band, same thing. A real crowd pleaser.

At one time i thought this group had a whole orchestra behind them. Till this day, i still don't believe all that came from just the four of them.

Where are Stein and Martell? This lineup sounds good, but it's not the same. I saw Bogert and thought it was the original lineup.

The Supremes brought this out at the peak of Motown, marking Year Zero for real dance music. Then came Vanilla Fudge with their acid version; Jimi did some Bob Dylan songs in his style, and music was never the same. Our band would do this tempo, then crank into Motown. Twenty minutes, and a crowd pleaser. Memories!
