"Monarch butterflies will not attempt to fly in the rain because the rain drops will damage their delicate wings. They will rest and wait it out. It's self preservation. It's okay to rest during the storms in your life. Take all the time you need. You will fly again once the storm passes." So sorry for this "storm" in your life, Linda. I know these days must be difficult and frustrating for you. Not to sing. Not to perform. Not to be able to feel the magic that being on stage brings to you. Rest. This storm will pass. Soon, like the butterflies, you will fly again. And yes, despite it all, "Life is Good." You are Lifted. Blessed. You are Loved.
And speaking of rough starts ... this morning. It's 5 a.m. And dark outside and I am scrambling to send your song "Vienna" to a friend who is in Vienna :) and I am aflutter with memories of years gone by and songs that changed my heart and have stuck with me and there you were ... "Even Now." I used to crank that song, amidst a life of chaos and fear and tears and worry as the mom of two very special needs kids who are now adults in my care. I was a lost lost soul ... and one person in my life was always there for me. Always. He was my heart. And forever hundreds of miles away and then he died suddenly - very young. That was 23 years ago. And I tucked this song away. I could not listen to it. Today was the first day. It popped up in the Vienna sidebar. I am awash with cleansing tears of decades of pain. My mom recently died ... oh, so many ... and my oldest son is struggling with a life living with half of a heart and congenital heart disease. I know time is ticking. Please understand the POWER of your music. Years go by. The music is the sound of our souls singing. Keep it coming. It is your gift to all of us. We hurt. We heal. We love again. Thank you xxxooooo
Linda: When you are finally able to perform again, you might want to include the song, 'IF I Never Sing Another Song" in your line-up. That says it all! I feel for you, and hope you get better very soon. I saw your Irvine Show and it was amazing, and I had tickets for the Lower CA Desert Show. I was sorry that you had to cancel it. Regards, Scot
thank you for your update and all that you shared with us. i think of you often and send you and yours only the best for a continued and speedy recovery. as difficult as things are i feel sure you will rise above it all. your in my daily thoughts and prayers. i loved Mozart's bath - he's very lucky to live in his 'penthouse' atmosphere. the winter scenery of your grounds is stunning - thank you again for sharing with us fans who care about you not only as a performer but as a person. your just the best!!! take care..........
I hope that sharing this makes the struggle feel lighter You have given us decades of enjoyment and love, so it's the least we can do The snow footage was absolutely exquisite and the birdbath so soothing..like a reward. Thank you ❤
Aw, sorry to hear of your rough start! I think it means only good times lay ahead for you! I think to some extent we all tie our identities to our work and it must be doubly so for people in the arts. Perfectly natural. Your little bird is adorable - how I wish I could come out of the shower and shake like that and look pretty and fresh and clean and fluffy!! Your farm/property looks so beautiful in all four seasons. Have some warm bread and a cup of tea, take your meds, sit by the fire, and admire your wonderland. Healing vibes coming your way!
Happy belated birthday, Linda! Sorry that some bad juju has decended on you and Max and Jake. Sometimes it feels like it won't leave. But it always does 😉. Thank you for the peaceful music and scenery of your homestead. Very much a paradise!! Feel better~ Ken
This is truly heartfelt video, watching the beautiful scenery of your home in winter time, the bird bath, Max injuries and your struggle with being back to your best shape, truly, this video is very inspiring to me. I really hope you will find your recovery soon. And feel better than ever. Normally, nowadays people only post publicly how well they were doing, how many competitions they win etc. Many medias is full of acting and lies. But your video, was completely warm to my hearts, reminds all of us, life is not always perfect. We should be thankful more when things were in our good moments. You are such a loving person, your music was truly inspiring to me because how loving and truly you are. Hugs! Hope you will get well soon again! You are so inspiring to me and wish you best always!❤❤
Linda I prayed to are Beloved Lord GOD to heal you also have a very good year 2024.and that you find love and happiness in life God be with you and son Jake always..Frank
I hope you are feeling better soon! I have had a few nasty respiratory illnesses this year (required prednisone which I hate- it makes me angry). I have a surgery coming up (again) but once it’s over I’ll be so happy to see you in a show. I know how frustrating healing can be first hand. You’ve got this! And we’re with you ❤
Yes 'life is good', just sometimes better than others. Hopefully your new medication will be the answer to your lingering symptoms. On a lighter note, there's also the new 'healthy' Haagen-Dazs 'Matcha Green Tea' ice cream. The most wonderful news is hearing that your vocal cords have survived without any damage! 🌞 Wishing Max a speedy & complete healing. Would love to see both of you enjoying a beautiful trail ride soon! 💖
Dear Linda, I'm truly sorry to hear you're still not feeling well. Wishing you a swift recovery! Country air is good for you Consider using a humidifier at night next to your bed it will help your sinuses/ nasal relief. Poor Max; I hope he recovers quickly I wonder what startled him. Sending healing vibes to your whole crew-you, your son, and of course, sweet Max. At least Mozart is holding up well ! (the cleanest bird around) things will start looking up again!
Linda, thank you for this update. Know that your fans love you and support you. Take all the time you need to rest and recover. I had tickets to see you at 54 Below in February but will be that much more delighted to see you in June, knowing that you'll be feeling happy to be over this hump and at your best!
So sorry that you are having a bad time of it, and poor Max! I sincerely hope you both get well fast, I will be thinking and praying for you both! Love Ya!
Linda im the one that told you in my comment GOD blessed you with your beatiful voice and looks l will pray to are lord GOD to heal you so you can be back singing to all that Love You GOD bless you. Frank❤
I'm sorry you had to cancel your concert, after trying so hard to perform. On a positive note, your high trills and tone sound so pure and effortless, thanks to your superb skills and technique, and-woo-hoo!-there's no vocal cord damage! Plus, Mozart and Max are enjoying your attention, while Jake may now be wanting help through his "man cold" (which is said by men scientists to be worse than the woman variety). Seriously, continue to nurse yourself, as if you're your own child. Before you know it, you'll be breathing like the warrior songstress you are, belting out those blues while trudging through the snow, cleaning your stables and feeding your horses; right before jumping back on the stage, singing "Don't Rain On My Parade"! Seriously, hang in there.
Take care of you and Max, best wishes for healing and sunshine. Though the snow is a beautiful scene. Mozart is one lucky bird to have been rescued. Enjoy some down time at home and Valentines Day!
You are a blessing to all of us and such an angel to your family! Please take care of yourself and know how much you are loved, respected, and admired! Healing hugs to you, Max, and Jake! ❤
Thank you Linda for your endearing videos. Even sick you have shared some sweet moments. Poor Max! I hope you and he and Jake are all on the mend as quickly as possible. And Mozart is a joy to watch... His bath time just makes me smile!! Try to stay patient with your recovery - it's not easy to be patient 😂
Never expected to see that night at Wolf Trap played out - you’re a born story teller. Nice to see you filling in your schedule later in the year. All the best.
So very sorry for the sad and difficult start to 2024. I feel your pain…I was sick myself over Christmas, but did recover more quickly than you. However, my 90 year old Dad fell down the stairs in his house on Christmas Eve, and ended up with Traumatic Brain Injury and stitches all over his head and cuts and bruises everywhere else. It could’ve been much, much worse, so we are counting our blessings. Here’s to better days ahead for everyone struggling out there. Get well soon Linda and Max…and Jake too!
I am so sorry you're sick. I was sooooo looking forward to seeing you again at the McCullum Theatre. But you must take care of that beautiful voice of yours. I look forward to your future performances. Thinking of you while you recover. Get well soon. You are my FAVORITE singer. Your voice is incredible.
Wow Linda didn't know you were sick. Glad you're getting better. You are still my favorite. I have all your music and there is none better. And let me say also you have never looked lovelier . Praying you keep getting better and better. Love you forever ❤ and that gorgeous voice you have. Don't know all the details but pray all works out for the better for you. ❤
Linda I thank you from my heart that you HighLight my comments GOD gave you your gifted voice to become the greatest singer of all and also a great and humble loving person l love you and all my family loves you God bless you and keep you always in good health. Frank
I was bummed out seeing these challenging situations get the best of you, especially since you are always a very positive person. Do know that soon you will be back on the stage sharing that magnificent voice with your audience, Max will heal and get the annoying bandage taken off and Mozart will keep a smile on your face with his bathing and mimicking. Keep the faith, better days are right around the corner!
I can’t post on your FB because I don’t have an acct, so I thought I would do it here. Was looking forward to Palm Desert but totally understand. My 91 yr old mother passed away on 2/28, so right before your dad. I feel your loss deep inside my heart. Stay well and come back soon. ❤❤
Your beautiful voice has been such a blessing to me. I first saw you on Star search. My favorite songs are VIENNA, & Someone Like You. I try to sing them but I can’t match your lovely voice. Watching the rain fall in Vienna, pictures of another time From the corner of a small cafe, we watched the world go by. Now we sit here the best of strangers We’ve played the game, for all it’s worth. Endless nights in Vienna’s eyes. Take me back again Cause in Vienna we were poetry. Yes In Vienna love was alive. Watching you watching me. More than our eyes could see. All of the nights , we __ until the dawn. It was the best time of our lives
Miss Eder: You get well soon. Take care of yourself and you'll be back. I hope to see you perform live, whenever you have a show in Texas. All the best to you, Roman in Austin.
Love you and feel your pain. Recovering from my Covid from two weeks ago and can't smell anything. Lingering dry cough is a major problem for me as an Uber driver since it makes my riders nervous.....I worry that it does at least. Absolutely love the bird bath!❤️❤️❤️
Linda, so sorry you had to cancel your concert 3/8 in Ct. but you have to get your beautiful voice healed! See you on 6/14! Sending love and healing wishes! ♥️
Linda God gave you the voice of voices and when you sing you give us Love and happiness also kindness in are heart you are the greatest of all singers Frank
I sympathize with your slow healing. At 3 years with my post long covid crap. It just keeps flaring up. Take the time young lady to get it out of your system. Follow-up with the ENT and I'm sending you massive good thoughts.
So glad you are coming out of this illness. What a rough time. Is it me or has Mozart grown?! That bath was hysterical. I loved the shaking. lol. Hope you got the mug and enjoy it. ❤
Keeping you, Jake and Max in my prayers. Being sick is never fun and it definitely can get on your nerves but you're getting better! Thanks for filming the bird taking a bath....I have never actually seen a bird taking a bath before, it was wonderful! Does the bird have a name? Thank you for sharing the gorgeous scenery too! Hope that the entire Eder-Wildhorn clan is on the road to recovery! ❤
Linda, I hope you feel better soon! Looking forward to seeing you back at WolfTrap in May. You are beautiful inside and out! Thank you for sharing this video with us. I hope Jake feels better as well.
Sending you healing vibes.....I sing and perform in lots of assisted living facilities here in Florida and when I was down with Covid it was debilitating mentally not to be able to sing...I get your pain.....test, take the meds and get rest....hydrate too....feel better soon.....where in Florida on the 2 nd are u supposed to be? I'm praying for you....... beautiful snow, by the way!
Hi Linda, It seems that sometimes everything happens at once. I am so sorry you have been sick with that bug that’s going around and that Max hurt himself. I think I may have had something similar. Mine lasted for about five weeks. So weird sore throat that kept going from one side to the other, and a nose that would not stop. Anyway, I hope you feel better really soon. it’s been raining in Scottsdale, but I am sending you some sunshine 🍋 Belated Happy Birthday 🎉
I'm so amazed that you can go everywhere, and you aren't mobbed. Like the lady coming out of CVS. WHAT? If I passed you coming out of CVS, I would lose my sh*t!! I guess they're just used to seeing you around town? Lucky lucky people. I hope you are feeling better soon!❤
Dear Linda . . . . . the book of Ecclisiasties says, "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven" . . . you know how the rest of the passage goes . . . this helps me when times are rough . . . maybe it can help you, too . . . . . . . . . . . . Danny in Mississippi
Thanks for sharing. In April 2012, you scheduled a make-up concert at the McCallum after cancelling a previous show when you were sick. I was able to get 2 tickets and saw you for the first time at that make-up concert. My partner and I have now been to 5 of your shows at the McCallum and the Barclay. Now, we are taking 2 new people with us for your upcoming show at the McCallum in March. All because of your initial sickness cancellation. You never know what good can come out of a situation. Looking forward to March!
Dear LINDA you showed everyone that mocked you and said are you a.Barbara wannabe..Like if you were 10 years old l seen your performance of Dont RAIN On MY PARADE GOD gave you such a gift to show the world who you really are GOD gave you the voice of voices Your Performance was Spectacular and your GOD giving voice was Phenomenal .loving you always GOD BLESS YOU .FRANK

Get well soon, dear Linda! We missed you at Below 54...but, we want you to be well and happy! You are loved! P.S. Looks like you have your very own songbird! ;) xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
So sorry Linda about what's been happening in your life!!! Seriously the scariest feeling in the world with your voice getting ill at the last minute. YIKES!!! That actually happened during the holidays with the tenor Andrea Bocelli.... brief vocal problems but then had to cancel his Philly concert at the last minute. Had some scary vocal moments too. Something very similar happened to be a year and a half ago, I was doing my solo cabaret show at Laurie Beechman Theatre..... warmed up totally fine but then my voice got SHOT midway. I was able to get through but sooooo scary. Luckily, the Wolf Trap show is rescheduled for May. Take great care of yourself Linda. P.S. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!!
Awwwwhhhhhhh 💗Linda I am just now seeing this beautiful vid U created and oh I love it so much. Thanks for posting it! I am such a big giant loving fan of yours ever since Star Search (Please don't let this feeling end song U sang) I know that's not the title but U know the song hehehehehhe. U mentioned in the vid U have a gig U needed to get to on the 2nd? Did U do that show? I would love to get the follow up to that vid! OK thanks again Linda, keep me informed of ur vids. What a beautiful Lady U R sick and all hehehehehehe OK U B Good 💗
Hang in there. I've been there. It's so frustrating when you JUST CAN'T GET WELL. I had a cough recently out of the blue that lasted for two months. I did the regular doctor visit and the ENT. Nothing there. Antibiotics not recommended...yada, yada, yada. Then, all of a sudden the cough was gone, 2 months later. Hang in there! ❤
Just get well soon. I was hoping to see you in Alabama but your health is more important. I saw your revised schedule and will begin to plan to see you sometime at 54 Below. Just get better.
Sorry you're not doing well & trying to improve. I've had the lower GI issues with what has been going around, but avoided the upper respiratory stuff. Mom didn't fair too well, as has just got over a mild pneumonia then tested positive for COVID. It comes & goes in her nursing facility. As she heads to 101 in June, want her to be well, but difficult to help long distance. If your 1st time on Prednisone, see what it does for you. It does absolutely nothing for me to rid any issues. I just get headaches, anxiety & irritability when on it, so I refuse to take it, and opt for the antibiotics. If it does work for you, great. The nasal spray should help too. I use Flonase as needed. Keep your fluids going with tea & honey, soups. Once the main stuff is gone, you will get your energy back & feel better. The cough will always be the last to go, even when you feel well with these respiratory illnesses. I hope you get to your Florida show with no issues. Come back to Vegas or even St. George, UT (about 2 hours NE) soon. Ann Hampton & Liz Callaway played a great venue in St. George recently that I had to miss due to flu. Liz is at Myron's in March followed by Funny Girl with Melissa Manchester as Mrs. Brice around Easter, then Ann back again. Trying to get back to shows. Your last Vegas show was the last concert I attended before the lock down, so it has been a while. Be well soon & a belated Happy Birthday. XO.
Hope someday you return to Texas. Dallas has a fabulous performance hall called The Winspear. Ask Brian Stokes Mitchell about it. Saw him there several years ago and just saw Lea Salonga. Just a wish.
Ok Eder. You better be proud of your accomplishments Your family is from Europe. Self critical. Think about Latin America and get over it I have the same problem. But keep it moving
❤such beautiful photos. Breathtaking. Same with the animals. Sorry that you have to go through this season. May I give you a suggestion from an old pro? “Fisherman’s Friend.” If you can’t find any let me know and I’ll send you some. They are horrible tasting and you will curse my name when you use them. But they work and are a secret amongst entertainers on the road. God bless you and yours. ❤❤
Hi Linda. As a singer, I know how it feels to be sick and not be able to use your voice like you're used to. When you talked about not being able to belt, I thought how this much impact your particular singing, because there is that part of your range where your signature sound won't be there. I hope you feel much better soon!
Linda, it's a well worn cliche (sorry I can't find the diacritic) but it still holds true. You could sing - or speak - the Telephone Directory and you would be far more interesting than most people. Here's to those brighter days.
Linda, you and I have been living living as single people for a long time.. I don't find it getting easier. You are my idol, my sweet lady I'm that guy who likes pussywilos. I so depressed tonight. My log lost love from the music department texted tonight . She wants to get back back together. It's impossible. I am gay. I needed you,Linda ❤ Rob
been watching your vids for awhile. There seems to be a downward tumble of negative emotion which i feel is a symptom of being worn out. you need to NOT SING for a few months. Just get away. Singers are gifted by God with their voice but everything ebbs and flows according to the nature of the body. Your voice will be there when you get back. we've had unprecedented illness and this year isn't going to be better in that regard. By the by, whatever note is the money note from Vienna... you own that note like its real estate!!! I'm thinking its a c5? Anyhoo, you are the absolute best. Please please take care of yourself.
And yes, despite it all, "Life is Good."
You are Lifted. Blessed. You are Loved.
A lot of us would be glad to shovel your snow the old fashioned way if we were closer.
It's what neighbors do 😎
Hopefully you have recovered by now.

Linda, I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Father. I hope you are feeling physically better so you can cope with your grief.
I was thinking about you this morning and hope you have fully recovered! 💜😘
"if you should lose your way along this road we share just look for me..." We got you Linda - and we aren't going anywhere.
My favorite song!
Aren't they all favorites?! "I Never Knew His Name", "A Candle in the Window", "Why Do People Fall in Love" ❤
I love looking at your property with the snow and the bird. Thank you for sharing. I have been taking prednisone myself.
Happy belated birthday, Linda!

Your beautiful voice has been such a blessing to me. I first saw you on Star search. My favorite songs are VIENNA, & Someone Like You. I try to sing them but I can’t match your lovely voice.
Watching the rain fall in Vienna, pictures of another time
From the corner of a small cafe, we watched the world go by.
Now we sit here the best of strangers
We’ve played the game, for all it’s worth. Endless nights in Vienna’s eyes. Take me back again
Cause in Vienna we were poetry. Yes In Vienna love was alive. Watching you watching me. More than our eyes could see. All of the nights , we __ until the dawn. It was the best time of our lives
It will get better… it always does. ❤
I'm so sorry, Linda, for your crappy start to 2024. Mine isn't that great, either. I lost my job today. Lots of love and light. ❤
I hope that your next job is one that makes you happy.
I am sorry to hear you are still sick and that Max got hurt. Not healing can definitely get you down. Happy belated birthday.🎉
So sorry you weren’t able to do the concert, but it’ll so important to take care of yourself.
His name is Mozart and he says his name now. He says "Hello, Mozart". European Starlings are great mimics.
@lindaederofficialyoutube Well, Mozart is amazing and you get some rest tonight!
Linda,
I hope you feel better soon!
Hi Linda Eder ❤❤❤ I'm from Philippines
Agree with you on Argyle.
Better days are coming!!!
Linda I thank God for giving you your gifted voice I will be 86 years old February 18th I hope someday we may meet in heaven .Frank

I had ticket for the March 8, concert, so sad you are still not well. Hopefully all good by June.
Take care of yourself. You are a treasure. ♥

What a beautiful Lady U R sick and all hehehehehehe OK U B Good 💗
Hope you are all feeling well soon.
Hi Linda,
Remember me, the guy who introduced you as Linda Ronsdadt in a Atilantic City many years ago?
Hang in there. I've been there. It's so frustrating when you JUST CAN'T GET WELL. I had a cough recently out of the blue that lasted for two months. I did the regular doctor visit and the ENT. Nothing there. Antibiotics not recommended...yada, yada, yada. Then, all of a sudden the cough was gone, 2 months later.
Hang in there! ❤
Just get well soon. I was hoping to see you in Alabama but your health is more important. I saw your revised schedule and will begin to plan to see you sometime at 54 Below. Just get better.
Linda, would you ever consider coming to Chattanooga, Tennessee?
Ok Eder. You better be proud of your accomplishments
Your family is from Europe. Self critical.
Think about Latin America and get over it
I have the same problem.
Amazon has them. Get full strength. ❤❤❤
I'm watching your vlog while eating a Magnum Double Caramel ice cream bar and wondering if you ever got your ice cream?
take it easy:( :0
I have not seen the bird before - what kind is it?
European Starling. Rescued it at 5 days old. Name is Mozart and he can say his name.
Oh Wow. Those are the ones that do the incredibly mesmerizing murmurations. I love watching them. Excellent name. 🙂@@lindaederofficialyoutube
Mozart is the cleanest starling in the world! 😊
My old ENT actually came out to see me sing ...was in my 20s
Hi Linda. As a singer, I know how it feels to be sick and not be able to use your voice like you're used to. When you talked about not being able to belt, I thought how this much impact your particular singing, because there is that part of your range where your signature sound won't be there. I hope you feel much better soon!
I hope you Don't have nasal polyps. They need to be removed. I had them removed twice. I always felt like I had a cold every day.
I think the ENT would have seen them when he put the scope down my nose.
So glad for you. Mine the first time were awful. They did grow back and I had the same surgery ten years later.
you will NEVER be Not fantastic......................the best voice ever
Favorite moment: Linda to Dave: “You have a gig [upcoming]? Dave: “Carnegie, I think.” Linda: “Oh…that little place.” 😅
I had scope 2xs...it does suck
Linda, it's a well worn cliche (sorry I can't find the diacritic) but it still holds true. You could sing - or speak - the Telephone Directory and you would be far more interesting than most people. Here's to those brighter days.
Linda I think Mozart should have the nickname Splash 🐦⬛💦😁
Linda, you and I have been living living as single people for a long time.. I don't find it getting easier. You are my idol, my sweet lady I'm that guy who likes pussywilos. I so depressed tonight. My log lost love from the music department texted tonight . She wants to get back back together. It's impossible. I am gay. I needed you,Linda ❤ Rob
Oops. Lose my way
been watching your vids for awhile.
