An example of PURE musicianship and storytelling. No need for riffs and vocal acrobatics. I've heard this song done by sooooooo many MANY singers and all were beautiful. But to me, THIS is the ULTIMATE. I understood it in a way I've never understood it before because there were no distractions. Just that stunning vocal. The pure delivery and honest heart. I am a professor at Berklee College of Music. I have been using you in my classes for the last twenty years. I include you in all my classes even those that focus primarily on "Foundations of Singing with Soul." You are one soul singing sista. I have seen you once in concert when my dear friend your former guitarist was a member of your band. When this pandemic subsides I will make it my business to find you and the great Tramaine Hawkins and I am going to fly into that CIty and enjoy an evening of your works. As a Vocalist and Voice teacher, there are not that many examples in recent years of singers who cover the waterfront. God bless you and your enduring talent.

I only subscribed to your channel about one week ago. I found it after I was spellbound, with shivers running over my body as I watched your performance of “Man of La Mancha,” from Carnegie Hall in Sept. 1998. Your vocal range, voice control, stage presence, and obvious enthusiasm is exhilarating. I had been searching for Broadway and movie songs on UA-cam for a playlist to listen to as I worked around the house. I’ve lost count how many times I have watched this extraordinary performance. I’m 71 and am sad I didn’t know of you before now. Yet, I’m heartened to learn that you’re planning on concerts next year here in Florida. Since I have shared this song with many friends, I’m hoping we can organize a caravan to a show next year. Thank you ever so much for sharing your marvelous talent with the world!

Gorgeous.... but then I love all your vocal styling. That song is so interesting in that the chord progressions are so unassuming for a bit then change at the end of a phrase with a heavy hit to the gut of emotion. The words are carried by intent. Singing this song is not easy. Beautifully done.

Linda, it has been so many years since you wrote songs in our living room and sung at Lord Fletcher's on Lake Minnetonka in Minnesota. Our Sea Ray boat brought you to your engagement at LF. What a beautiful voice you had then, and it is enhanced so much today. I loved listening to you on UA-cam and will do so more often now that I have found you online again. Basically - this is the perfect blend of massively - great singing technique and interpretation. She can do anything with her voice - so much grit yet such a gorgeous tone - if I were a singing teacher she'd be someone I'd hold up as an amazing ballad singer and performer - in the class of Streisand and the like
