God ur channel is so iconic
It really is, huh? I don't know know where they keep finding all these good clips
I saw this musical closing night in Chicago, they didn't know if the musical would make it to Broadway. Linda gave the performance everything that night.
Ok but this song should literally never have been cut from the Broadway version - easily one of the most iconic from the soundtrack. Linda absolutely POPS OFF vocally, I’m literally obsessed 🤩✨
Big Agree! This is one of my favorite songs ever!
There’s a million other songs about good and evil and they cut the one fun number for another one that doesn’t give the scene the energy it needed
I LOVE good and evil but they could have easily given Lucy a second number in The club later to include that
I hope they bring this song back when they revive this show.
i beg your pardon? they dont perform this in the broadway?!
How is Linda’s live voice exactly same with original album soundtrack..? This is even much better than soundtrack. She has a great volume!!!
Yes, Linda's singing here is so flawless that it's hard to believe she's not singing to a pre-recorded track.
You should hear her in the Scarlet pimpernel she was absolutely amazing
This song should never have been cut! Linda is such a powerhouse!
She should have been a huge star based on her vocal ability alone! I know critics love to trash this show - but there are some real gems in this score - especially the Warlow recording. Thank you as always for posting Spiderwoman!
warlow recording is incredible.
This show wasn't great when the concept album was made- it's incredibly fun and pulpy, just not very good- but then, for some reason, every production made it *worse*
@@heatherrockwell9012 Couldn’t disagree more - the Warlow recording is damn near perfection! To each their own I guess…
True, Linda could've been a huge star but she chose not to.
Thank you
Telling my age here but i remember her when she was on Star Search back in the 80's She knocked all the competition out of the water and she was so sweet. All she wanted, was to meet Bruce Willis.
Awesome! I was bummed they cut it out of the Broadway version.
Yes, I believe many were unhappy about that decision.
Yeah. So sad.
@@auroraspiderwoman5886 if Good and Evil had been written first and been the only song at this point in the show, it would have been perfectly fine. It’s not necessarily a bad song. But it doesn’t hold a candle to Bring on the Men. Plus Linda’s delivery of Bring in the Men always hits it out of the ballpark
@@thomasbradley4505 good and evil was in the original 1990 premiere but was sung by Simon Stride. Still a bit odd to have Lucy sing it.
@@auroraspiderwoman5886 myself included. I was baffled watching dance hall performer/prostitute Lucy introduced with some strangely philosophical song as opposed to this.
I’ve listened to the entire soundtrack (with Anthony and Linda) without seeing the show, and I can understand why everything in comparison would be underwhelming. I wish they’d make a new version more true to the story, but this version gave us good songs like this.
I’ve never seen footage of her as Lucy!!! How awesome! She’s amazing ❤️
This is a opinion more than a comment!!!!
Linda Eder has alot in common with Jennifer Holliday. Both of their vocals are PHENOMENAL!!! Such talent!! Yet they never got the Stardom they both deserve!!!! They are 2 of the best singers Broadway ever had!!! Their talent was not put to what they deserved!!! I saw them in concerts and in Their Broadway shows!!! I met them both and proud to say how incredibly gracious and sweet they were!!! They will always have a place in my playlist!!!!!!!
This show introduced me to Frank Wildhorn’s music and Linda Eder. I still remember trying to sing along the cast recordings. Thank you for bringing back this great piece and the talent of Linda.
Absolutely brilliant. Why did we never hear about her?❤
I dont know why everyone hates on good and evil i love it
Linda Eder, forever and always #1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😍🤩😍
Iconic 💃
I've always wanted to see this, wow!!
I went to see this when my college did a production of Jekyll and Hyde. Starring my classmates. Including girls I go to school with. Yeah that was definitely an interesting experience
Wow she is awesome ❤
Oh my gosh! Thank you!!! 🥺😍😭
Oh god she’s amazing
She's amazing!
Thank you so much for posting this!!
So I like Good and Evil. It has a kinda pop sound. Bring on the Men is far superior. The show may have ran a lot longer with Bring on the Men and even with David Hasselhoff. I’m glad Bring on the Men was brought back in the 2013 revival with Deborah Cox.
I also really like Girls of the Night. Another song that should’ve stayed in the show.
Btw, do yourselves a favor and watch the German version of this. They do this entire show justice but, in particular, nail this performance & with more risqué.
Oooh which German production? I'm absolutely obsessed with the 2002 one with Maya hakvoort and Thomas Borchert but I think that one was in Vienna?
HUGE second this opinion. The first international production was in 1999 in Bremen, Germany. I love that cast recording - Ethan Freeman is wonderful.
@@beth9730 If you look up the ‘99 Bremen version with Ethan Freeman, the ‘01 Vienna one with Borchert, and the ‘03 Cologne one with Yngve Gasoy Romdal, they’re all the same production basically!
Who in hell on earth thought it was a good idea to cut this song?
I saw the show in New York (where it could have used this number) and was underwhelmed by everything except Linda Eder's big Streisandish voice. She was to Frank Wildhorn what Joan Diener was to Mitch Leigh.
As much as I idolized this audio performance as a young woman, I must say, I never pictured it being performed so stiffly. I saw Lucy being much more… lifelike, modern, bendy and relatable. She’s not khaleesi. She’s a busker doing everything she can to earn a penny.
One of the highest caliber performers, voices, & energies of Broadway’s last 40 years. That she did not score a Tony nod nor win for this performance is a travesty.
QUEEN
God bless talent that will never compare to trash of modern theatre...
FINALLY I"VE FOUND THIS VIDEO AGAIN :')
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
why'd they cut the song it's SO good
Huh. I'm actually a little underwhelmed by the way the number is staged. It just seems kind of perfunctory. I mean, Linda Eder sounds great, but I think this is just way more fun when she sings it in concert. Maybe it was more exciting when you were in the theater?
What a tease

Warlow, along with Eder, made one of the best albums in existence. Then broadway butchered the entire show, whadda shame. I Need to Know, Facade, Bring on the Men, Confrontation....the original is a song after song masterpiece. Thanks for the vid.
I saw it in the original off broadway!
Is there a full recording of this show in this quality or is there only this song? I just wondered!
(There’s a video of the show on UA-cam but it’s low quality.)
I Have a Playlist of Everyvideo of the tour I could find

@@jessicaruizcollazo2372thank you!
@@NemeyukoP No problem
This is a better song but Good and Evil made more sense in context.
I saw the original production at the Alley Theater in Houston. They jacked this show up so bad! They should have kept the BRILLIANT Chuck Wagner in the lead role, and just do whatever minor tweaks it needed. I saw every later version of this show, and none compared to the original and Wagner's performance made the show. They did have him do the national tour which was awesome, but he should have originated that role on Broadway. Cuccioli didn't have the voice for it. Decent actor, not a good enough singer.
Hey Spiderwoman, why do you think Linda Eder didn't become a bigger star?
Why was this song cut?? GOOD AND EVIL WAS TERRIBLE XX
She looks so much like Minnie Driver
EXCUSE ME???????????? I'M GONNA FAINT
I like this song but Good And Evil had the sexy men 😈 They were hot 🔥 🥵 I. Their unitards 😍
