Listening to this , one of the best voices in the last 30 years... I will never sing alternative lyrics behind a singer again, I got thrown out of the school choir for singing we four kings from Liverpool are. Saddest thing was there were only three of us in the bass range, and the choirmaster at Durham Cathedral could pick my voice out 😅
Seriously nothing like doing a holiday themed concert!!! Nothing compares to that incredible feeling of holiday music in general. Love your filmed Bravo Holiday concert from The Mohegan Sun Arena. Wasn't that also the same show you brought to Broadway? I'm actually developing a holiday solo cabaret of my own. Watching BOTH the Bravo concert and this filmed show on the vlog is giving me a lot of inspiration. I was there! I was so glad to get the chance. I did not realize that there was a connection with the Barkley Center, and that Linda Ed Eder Christmas concerts were a rare treat lately. My son is a UCI student, so that was another good reason to make the trip!
Watching this again on New Year’s Eve on a cold gray day in California. It’s so heartwarming and beautiful. We have to grab these moment when we can. Linda, Did I somehow miss you performing "O Holy Night" during this particular concert/ vlog, or Did you not sing it at this particular show?. In my humble/personal opinion Your performance of That Particular song Is The Gold Standard of how that song should be performed. Drop dead gorgeous performance of that song from your first live concert performing tracks from your recently completed Gold album back in 2001.
What a joy to see this. You are still in impeccable voice. I last saw your Christmas show in Houston 10 years ago and was front row. You have a huge fan base in Houston, so please come back. Ill make the 3 hour drive from Austin any day. Or better yet, come to Austin again. You did a Christmas show at Bass Concert Hall and the anniversary show at the Long Center with Marvin Hamlisch, both of which I attended. I hope to see a show of yours somewhere in 2024. I live in Michigan, and we have a similar climate as you,...but I lived in San Jose for 45 years, and as a tour bus driver, I got to know San Francisco quite well. SO, when you lauched into "I left my heart..." I just had to go and cuddle with my wife! Thank you for doing this song, as Tonys version will always live on of course, but you did it justice.
I loved the annual tradition of seeing your holiday concerts, but understand the need to take a break and be home at Christmas. The last Christmas show I saw you do was at the Verizon Center in Mankato - November 30, 2018. Now, I play your Bravo special DVD every year.
We loved the Irvine Barclay Christmas show … with your other music blended in. They were nicely weaved in together. Heh heh, I learned about Choir-in-a-Box and Band-in-a-Box! It worked out well. ♥️ You, of course, were on point. Four of them were in December, but the one identified as a Christmas Show was in December 2005. Great to see you doing Christmas again. Love the “Christmas Stays the Same” album and was listening to it today.
I still remember seeing you in Jekyll & Hyde at Baltimore's Morris Mechanic Theater. So Thrilling! A few month's later i was in Hershey Pa with my family and lo and behold the show was playing the Hershey Theater. Whenever me and my family were in Hershey, we always ate at The Hershey Pantry. We werent there very long when i saw an entourage coming in. I noticed you immediately, you were with a group from the show. I wanted so badly to come over and say something, but wanted you all to have privacy. Just know ive loved your beautiful talent for quite awhile. Linda, I need to tell you that on Dec 19th 2016 you performed a Christmas Concert in Harrisburg, PA. We actually entered the hotel at the same time. I spoke with Ellen because the traffic heading there had been outrageous for the two of you and you were quite rattled. I remember this date specifically because my mother had passed away on Monday the16th and your concert was that Thursday night. My mother had been in hospice for a short period of time and knowing that that was the last Christmas present I’d ever receive from my mother, rather than not attend, Bud and I felt we needed to be there at the concert in her memory. It ended up being the most emotional concert for me You sang all our favorite songs from both of your albums including Do You Hear What I hear. I remember also, that you sung for the first time in concert Love of My Life by Queen. It was quite an emotional and yet uplifting night of my life because I could feel my mother was with me in spirit. She knew how much I loved you. On another note I can assure you that any mistake or blunder you could possibly make does not matter to your audiences! Have no worries, ever!!! We have seen well over 50 of your concerts and we will see you at the Barns@Wolf Trap! I hope we’ll get a chance to chat at The Barns. Thank you for the vlog, continuing to sing and give peace and joy to all. 💕🌈

Finally, I met somebody who understands! LOL. I, too, need to sit near the window on a plane. This is my reasoning: I need to know how far the ground is away from us at all times, ensure the plane is flying upright, observe all weather conditions, and make sure no other planes are too close. Most importantly, I need to confirm that the wing is still attached to the plane and it is not on fire. The middle aisle would give me palpitations if I had to sit there. 😅 I have never sat in the middle aisle in my life! The only seat I prefer on a plane, other than a window seat, would be sitting next to the pilot! 😂 What a great vlog! And that was some storm! I live in Long Island; the flooding was incredible! I am looking forward to seeing you at your show in New York City. I'm taking my mother, my sister, and my niece to see you at 5 Below as a Christmas gift! This took me back to all the concerts I attended with my daughter Lauryn when we lived in CA. A highlight was traveling to NYC and navigating the subway and LIRR system to see your concert. I miss those days! Come to TN someday!

About 5-6 years ago you were playing at Westbury music fair In Long Island New York. I know because I was taking my mother and my sister to see you. I had front row seats we were so excited except there was a blizzard. And your show was canceled and it was right around Christmas time I think

I have seen you perform dozens of times but this was the first time I was able to see one of your Christmas shows! It was magnificent! I think you need to tell your agent to add them back in. lol
I love hearing/seeing about the background of preparing for concerts; it’s so familiar, I’m nodding in understanding! And I completely get the stress/fear involved: I’ve just finished 2 weeks of rehearsals, practising and concerts for Christmas & was sooo exhausted at the end I nearly cried! People think it’s easy because THEY know all the tunes! Loved hearing about the process behind “Do You Hear”- fantastic arrangement, very imaginative. And your "Silent Night" version … gorgeous. We have a very different take on Christmas carols here in the UK, we are much more traditional, so it’s very interesting seeing the difference in your preparations. Linda, Did I somehow miss you performing "O Holy Night" during this particular concert/ vlog, or Did you not sing it at this particular show?. In my humble/personal opinion Your performance of That Particular song Is The Gold Standard of how that song should be performed. Drop dead gorgeous performance of that song from your first live concert performing tracks from your recently completed Gold album back in 2001.
What a joy to see this. You are still in impeccable voice. I last saw your Christmas show in Houston 10 years ago and was front row. You have a huge fan base in Houston, so please come back. Ill make the 3 hour drive from Austin any day. Or better yet, come to Austin again. You did a Christmas show at Bass Concert Hall and the anniversary show at the Long Center with Marvin Hamlisch, both of which I attended. I hope to see a show of yours somewhere in 2024. I live in Michigan, and we have a similar climate as you,...but I lived in San Jose for 45 years, and as a tour bus driver, I got to know San Francisco quite well.

I loved the annual tradition of seeing your holiday concerts, but understand the need to take a break and be home at Christmas. The last Christmas show I saw you do was at the Verizon Center in Mankato - November 30, 2018.
Now, I play your Bravo special DVD every year.
We loved the Irvine Barclay Christmas show … with your other music blended in. They were nicely weaved in together. Heh heh, I learned about Choir-in-a-Box and Band-in-a-Box! It worked out well. ♥️ You, of course, were on point. We’re so glad you make the flight out here as often as you do. 🤗🎵🎶🛫

Enjoying all the vlogs!! Looked back at my 8 ticket stubs from your concerts I attended years ago at Turning Stone. Four of them were in December, but the one identified as a Christmas Show was in December 2005. Great to see you doing Christmas again. Love the “Christmas Stays the Same” album and was listening to it today.
I still remember seeing you in Jekyll & Hyde at Baltimore's Morris Mechanic Theater. So Thrilling! A few month's later i was in Hershey Pa with my family and lo and behold the show was playing the Hershey Theater. Whenever me and my family were in Hershey, we always ate at The Hershey Pantry. We werent there very long when i saw an entourage coming in. I noticed you immediately, you were with a group from the show. I wanted so badly to come over and say something, but wanted you all to have privacy. Just know ive loved your beautiful talent for quite awhile. I've been a fan for years and am SO sorry I was unaware of your concert in Irvine and missed it. Your Christmas album from 2000 is one of my absolute favorites and the title song is a modern Christmas classic! I play it even when it is not Christmas!!!

Linda, I need to tell you that on Dec 19th 2016 you performed a Christmas Concert in Harrisburg, PA. We actually entered the hotel at the same time. I spoke with Ellen because the traffic heading there had been outrageous for the two of you and you were quite rattled.
I remember this date specifically because my mother had passed away on Monday the16th and your concert was that Thursday night. My mother had been in hospice for a short period of time and knowing that that was the last Christmas present I’d ever receive from my mother, rather than not attend, Bud and I felt we needed to be there at the concert in her memory. It ended up being the most emotional concert for me You sang all our favorite songs from both of your albums including Do You Hear What I hear. I remember also, that you sung for the first time in concert Love of My Life by Queen. It was quite an emotional and yet uplifting night of my life because I could feel my mother was with me in spirit. She knew how much I loved you.
On another note I can assure you that any mistake or blunder you could possibly make does not matter to your audiences! Have no worries, ever!!! We have seen well over 50 of your concerts and we will see you at the Barns@Wolf Trap! I hope we’ll get a chance to chat at The Barns.

Merry Christmas to you and Jake. 🎄 I was so hoping you would sing out in your backyard like you did last year. Oh Christmas tree. It was quiet and lovely and inspiring. My favorite CD is Christmas Always Stays The Same. It really has brightened this season and I play it all the time.
Finally, I met somebody who understands! LOL. I, too, need to sit near the window on a plane. This is my reasoning: I need to know how far the ground is away from us at all times, ensure the plane is flying upright, observe all weather conditions, and make sure no other planes are too close. Most importantly, I need to confirm that the wing is still attached to the plane and it is not on fire. The middle aisle would give me palpitations if I had to sit there. 😅 I have never sat in the middle aisle in my life! The only seat I prefer on a plane, other than a window seat, would be sitting next to the pilot! 😂 What a great vlog! And that was some storm! I live in Long Island; the flooding was incredible! I am looking forward to seeing you at your show in New York City. I'm taking my mother, my sister, and my niece to see you at 5 Below as a Christmas gift! This took me back to all the concerts I attended with my daughter Lauryn when we lived in CA. A highlight was traveling to NYC and navigating the subway and LIRR system to see your concert. I miss those days! Come to TN someday!

About 5-6 years ago you were playing at Westbury music fair In Long Island New York. I know because I was taking my mother and my sister to see you. I had front row seats we were so excited except there was a blizzard. And your show was canceled and it was right around Christmas time I think

I love hearing/seeing about the background of preparing for concerts; it’s so familiar, I’m nodding in understanding! And I completely get the stress/fear involved: I’ve just finished 2 weeks of rehearsals, practising and concerts for Christmas & was sooo exhausted at the end I nearly cried! People think it’s easy because THEY know all the tunes! Loved hearing about the process behind “Do You Hear”- fantastic arrangement, very imaginative. And your "Silent Night" version … gorgeous. We have a very different take on Christmas carols here in the UK, we are much more traditional, so it’s very interesting seeing the difference in your preparations.
