The 1911 should have been included with vanilla.
a LOT of cool things could have been in Vanilla.
m1 garand, g3, 1911, m16, pump-action shotgun, actually good gun design
all would have been great additions

@@ChuckDGard .45 caliber as a optional cartidge conversion for Rifle pattern weapons would be good(Dak has the Combat Rifle remesh, he put in .45, 5,56 and .30 carbine caliber mods) but the Rifles need actual rifle caliber options.
That wood/tire armor for raiders is just... chef's kiss.

Ehh, I feel like the pipe guns should have been based on the Luty (and other simple firearms). Direct blowback makes a lot more sense for something that's supposed to be makeshift.

vanilla pipe guns feel so mass produced and just everywhere, even in diamond city
and they look too similar, hard to believe they are handmade
some ideas:
pipe lever-gun, pipe smgs (one mp5 style, one mp40 style), pipe assault rifles (m16 or ak-47 or maybe other), pipe handguns, pipe bolt-action gun (several options for ammo), pipe double-barrel shotgun, pipe anti-materiel rifle, pipe anti-tank gun, pipe lmg, pipe revolver, pipe single-shot guns (shotgun, rifle, amr, pistol; with 4 different reload styles; top-loading, side-loading, break-action, back-loading), pipe pump-action shotgun, pipe battle rifle (fn fal style)
and all of these feel lore accurate since these guns or at least remnants, parts or pictures would be lying around everywhere
some could be made entirely of scrap, or scrap with actual parts, some could just be the actual gun but barely held together with duct tape + hopes and dreams, some made of weirder items like bones maybe, feels raidery, i like the idea of the guns being freakishly weird looking compared to the inspiration since theyd have probably been made by someone less experienced
hire me bethesda i just came up with very simple ideas on the spot
hell even the cut designs like the cranky shotgun & crude blowback were leagues better than what we got (probably why they got cut)

the Pipe Carbine if you start off with Minutemen, plus the Dak mod.
Tumbajamba's armors need the Lining and Weave Slots by default. Otherwise, I cant really use them. Also, the Armor Trunk from most of the armors needs to be scrappable.

That can be taken either as a compliment or an insult depending on how you look at it, let's not brown nose to a company that purposely tends to makes things worse for it's players with every "update".
Pretty sure that was just meant like it fits the vanilla arsenal with the amount of customization it has

@@imapotatoful That's uncalled for. The last 20 updates or so for every singleplayer bgs game haven't been necessary and have made the experience worse for a lot of players by bricking saves and adding new crashes
All of these mods look awesome but im really surprised that there are no helmet overlay or prone shooting mods for Fallout 4 like there are for NV. !

The Pipe Carbine sold me on gmoi's pipe gun retexture, it makes that gun look fantastic
It uses the pipe guns textures, so use a mod that change the textures of the pipe guns will change the pipe Carbine right?

Speaking of lever guns, you and co. need to do one in .357. There are not many weapons using it currently, and there likely won't be many, period. FNV's Cowboy Repeater (Winchester 1892) would be nice. Might as well make a "Starlet Sniper" unique while/if you're at it.

I like the look of the early game armors the one complaint I have is tire armor is dominating my legendary item drops at lvl 106

Tumbajamba's armours are great but them using the next gen archive format is sadly a deal breaker at the moment as neither the update nor the work around feel stable enough for me to risk damage to my current setup.
Agreed.. At this moment in time updating to next gen is not worth it IMO. More instability, less f4se plugins like buffout 4 and others i use

Nexus has some new mods? I can't tell. Every time I get to the "new mods" page since the show aired it's just an ENDLESS SPAM OF TRANSLATIONS and I can't effin filter them out. So unless something makes it to the hot files, it just gets drowned by the million unimportant douches spamming translations to mods (most of which have like 2 lines of text anyway, or none and all and they just translate the mod description or instructions lol)

Ah, wood armor, the armor that guarantees you die from an infection if you don't die from the shot itself.
For me the .45's trigger is what's putting me off it. I mean he made a 9mm pistol with correct alignment with the fingers and trigger.
As for the lever-action; I'd honestly replace the one in Vanilla FO4 with that. It looks fantastic.

To go more into detail, if I were to lower the mesh to be in place, first person would look wrong, and I prioritize first person

When is there gonna be a cool car mod for fallout4, new Vegas is getting crazy tanks and APC’s that are functional and bad ass cars with fun mechanics, but no fallout4 :(
If anyone is interested in making it, I'd like to see a minigun-style laser cannon that uses the charging mechanic of the Laser musket/assaultron head for massive pinpoint damage.
The worst part about playing on Xbox is that there's no room for all these awesome mods

great job dak we need a lot more modular armor sets its one of the things that are a improvement in fallout 4 yet mod authors don't make many of them. maybe its more work to do so?

the generic was on 10mm, the unique was in .44
Dak wasn't talking about Lincoln's Repeater from vanilla Fallout 3, but instead the Lever-Action Rifle from Fallout 3's Point Lookout DLC (which did use 10mm).

crashes to home page whenever i try opening it, and if i can open it it crashes as soon as i open mod page
so i just try loading a vanilla new game and it crashes every five seconds

the Crossbow could use the Laser Musket animations, I also want a single shot and magazine fed variant. If there are plans for the bows and Crossbows, the Instant Legolas could also work.

AR-15 is an overall term that refers to all of those, what are you talking about?
"AR-15" is the original company designation for the design, which makes it a great umbrella term for everything descended from the design, rather than the specific military models M16 or M4.
