Hey Guys!!! I have updated the ingredients and also the instructions. Some of the ingredients were not on here. Ingredients: 1 pound of ground beef (use any type you like) 1-2 Pepperoncini's 1/3 cup of Pepperoncini Juice ( I said it wrong sorry) 2 tablespoons of tomato paste 1 /2 tablespoon of bloomers chili powder 1/2 teaspoon of white pepper 1/2 teaspoon of Salt 1 tablespoon of garlic powder 1 teaspoon of minced garlic 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder 1 tablespoon of Mrs. Dash Blend 1/2 teaspoon of Cumin 1/2 teaspoon of mustard (dry or regular) - either one is fine!!! 1/2 teaspoon of Old Bay 1 Cup of Water Half of Onion (diced and sliced) Instructions: - Add minced garlic to pan and cook for 1 min until translucent - Then Add your ground beef to the pan with the garlic - Then add your onion, salt, garlic powder, mustard, old bay, cumin, Mrs. dash, white pepper, and cumin. - once cooked add your pepperoncini and a little of the juice not all. Let that meat and seasonings cook until meat is brown - Then add your 2 tablespoons of tomato paste and let that cook for about 1 min - Then add your 1 /2 tablespoons of bloomers chili powder, and let cook for another 1 min. - Then Add 1 cup of Water and cook for another 1 min - Then Let cook for about 5-10 mins also please stir your chili sauce letting some of that water evaporate!
Your recipe is very close to my own. I boil more water out of the chili and use ketchup instead of tomato paste. I use a recipe from an old Dairy Freeze Drive in restaurant. 😊
I was a hot dog vendor for 10 years with my own food truck and I must say this looks very good and I am excited to try it. Good job with the selection of Nathan's dogs, that was the only brand I would sell and I sold over 200 of them a day with my homemade sauces and big baked potaotoes as well. I have tried about 20 different recipes and have liked two. I’ve looked at hundreds but yours has potential so I’ll make it as is and try it. As for the hotdogs I love Hoffmann’s franks with natural casings and the Snappy Whites made of pork and spices, Devine. Public carries the franks but I have to order the Snappy Whites from up state NY. Thanks for the recipe.
I used to work at a store on the early morning stocking crew, I ate Jumbo Chili Cheese dogs for breakfast almost every morning, now mind I had been at work since 2 A.M. so come 8:00 A.M. I was very hungry. Good food and good memories. Thanks for sharing.
I don’t know you but I enjoyed the sound of your warm and friendly voice. Your recipe looks good, I’m glad that it did not include beans and tomatoes. If you can, get those hotdogs with the natural casing because they taste so much better especially when you take a bite and feel the snap - they’ll elevate your wonderful chili recipe. Those dogs look so delicious. The sauce looked good enough to eat as a dipping sauce with chips. I could almost smell the goodness in that sauce. Great job.
i am a huge fan of hot dog sauces and this one looks very interesting, I would never think of adding Old Bay. Thank you for adding the updated ingredient list, I thought the peppers might have been jalapenos but pepperoncini sounds really interesting. I will give this a try for sure!

Didn’t have mrs dash, substituted for herb of providence Had to sub dry/crushed mustard seed for bottle mustard, added 2 to 3 times more bottle mustard due to the fact dry mustard is my guess way more potent. Maybe even more I like mustard. No tomato paste, so sub : can of crushed tomatoes, and then left out the cup of water due to crushed tomatoes having some juice. This chili is amazing thank you for sharing your ingredients list!
I agree chuck is the best cut for most everything I use chuck roasts for stew soups kabobs and all that good stuff and I'll cook my meat in my instant pot pressure cooker then I cook the veggies separately so they don't require a lot of time and who likes mushy veggies , but the meat comes out real tender cut good for tripe chicken gizzard and anything that would be tough if cooked on the burner I live my instant pot . I do all the cooking in the instant pot . My wife doesn't like gadgets

Try adding a cup of water to the pound of UNCOOKED ground beef and stir it in good before you cook it, then add your spices and stir them in. THEN put it on the stove till it starts to heat up. Cook on medium low for about an hour. Guarantee it'll be even better and have a smoother texture.

I read an arrival one time how some of her family members didn't like onions in their food like meatballs and meatloaf . So to get around that she started grating onions into her recipes and no one noticed the difference . As long as the couldn't see them they were ok with the flavor I think that was a really good idea

When I saw the Old Bay seasoning, I expected to hear "berl" instead of "boil". That's how the cooks in the French Quarter I worked with used to say it😁
@@besuretocook So I did not get around to making your chilli until today. That said, it's on the stove simmering now. I did not have pepperoncini or juice, so I substituted a few items. I used a fresh poblano and banana pepper and substituted the pepperoncini juice with dill pickle juice. I also did not have Mrs. Dash, but did add some Kinders RUB (the steak Blend) and a dash or two of Worcestershire Sauce. Never let what you don't have stop you. I made triple the amount of chili. I figured if I am going to do this I'm going to freeze some and have it ready to go. I will report back on the final results when we put the dogs on the grill. Don't know if that will be today, but I like the odds as I smell that simmering hot dog chili. Thanks again Besuretocook for sharing..., Our cookouts and dog night just got a little better.

Love how you cook!! Garlic makes things better, Burger and onion chopped fine which makes a difference. Bet your in MI? I noticed the burger label. Have many Family and friends in MI and most states. PS: If you like "foot long" polish chili dogs like Costco use to have at food court, Costco has them in huge packs in the frig section along with foot long buns. I vacuum pack them, freeze them into 3rds. A little greasy but OH SO Good!!

I find a little shake ( not much) of celery salt also added to the chili gives it that old fashioned roadside diner taste of the 1950s.

I read an arrival one time how some of her family members didn't like onions in their food like meatballs and meatloaf . So to get around that she started grating onions into her recipes and no one noticed the difference . As long as the couldn't see them they were ok with the flavor I think that was a really good idea

When I saw the Old Bay seasoning, I expected to hear "berl" instead of "boil". That's how the cooks in the French Quarter I worked with used to say it😁
@@besuretocook So I did not get around to making your chilli until today. That said, it's on the stove simmering now. I did not have pepperoncini or juice, so I substituted a few items. I used a fresh poblano and banana pepper and substituted the pepperoncini juice with dill pickle juice. I also did not have Mrs. Dash, but did add some Kinders RUB (the steak Blend) and a dash or two of Worcestershire Sauce. Never let what you don't have stop you. I made triple the amount of chili. I figured if I am going to do this I'm going to freeze some and have it ready to go. I will report back on the final results when we put the dogs on the grill. Don't know if that will be today, but I like the odds as I smell that simmering hot dog chili.

Love how you cook!! Garlic makes things better, Burger and onion chopped fine which makes a difference. Bet your in MI? I noticed the burger label. Have many Family and friends in MI and most states. PS: If you like "foot long" polish chili dogs like Costco use to have at food court, Costco has them in huge packs in the frig section along with foot long buns. I vacuum pack them, freeze them into 3rds. A little greasy but OH SO Good!!
