Goosebumps all the way! What a great band they have always been whatever the lineup but I think Donnie's voice must have come straight from the angels.
There will never be a concert as great a Balloch I was there! I would have like to see Pink Floyd, etc etc but when I think about it, if I had never went to Runrig Concert on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, my life would never have been fulfilled
I travelled through your country many times, been from Berwick upon Tweed to Durness and from John O' Groats to Dumfries and Aberdeen to Iona, Skye, Mull, Arran etc etc I did not know Runrig at all until an evening in August 1991 in The Oban Inn, got hooked immediately no shit!! Went back to Holland with 4 cd's in my luggage...I saw Pink Floyd many times and various other great bands in Europe and the USA but a Runrig show would be something special. Lucky you to have been at Balloch, did you see yourself on the video of that show that came out later?? In the summer of 2018 I will be back in Bonnie Scotland to celebrate my 60th birthday, hope to see Runrig live then. Where are you from?? Oh my god. This brings back so many memories. I was at that concert and didn't have a ticket because there were so many ways to sneak in. Absolutely amazing. Can't believe this was 22 years ago!
This was my first runrig concert,I had heard they were great live and looked forward to this show, they were not great they were absolutely amazing what a show, I've seen so called superstars who can't perform like that, they are a simply amazing band and the atmosphere at balloch,Glasgow green and the barrowlands you just can't beat it, I also fondly remember having a return bus ticket back to Buchanan bus station but if I had got it I'd have missed the end of the show and that wasn't happening we stayed right to the end and then asked God knows how many bus drivers if we could get a lift to Glasgow, this was also the first time I had heard capercaillie and I loved them too and hothouse flowers were amazing as well
You ask me to believe in magic Expect me to commit suicide of the heart And you ask me to play this game without question Raising the stakes on this shotgun roulette Every river I try to cross Every hill I try to climb Every ocean I try to swim Every road I try to find All the ways of my life I'd rather be with you There's no way Without you But you came to me like the ways of children Simple as breathing, easy as air Now the years hold no fears, like the wind they pass over Loved, forgiven, washed, saved Every river I try to cross Every hill I try to climb Every ocean I try to swim Every road I try to find All the ways of my life I'd rather be with you There's no way Without you
I absolutely love to see that great heaving sea of waving hands at a Runrig concert! Only on video now, of course, and I never saw them live, to my huge regret. But I have adored their sound for such a long time!!!! Best band ever.
was an amazing day my wife and me got married just after this think she still has the big wheel t shirt all the bands where good big line up of artist bloody hot to it was sun shone bright for us
WTF!!! GREAT BAND... I Gerard this band die the first time in the Oban Inn in Oban. Hooked right away. All the best to the Runrigfans from a Runrigfan from Holland
You came to me like the ways of children, simple as breathing, easy as air. Now the years hold no fears, like the wind they pass over. Loved, forgiven, washed, saved.

Runrig is my ALL TIME favorite band.. I may love Country and Southern Rock.. but this band touches my heart.. my ancestors are from the Stuart line.. Like "coming home". I know why they love their land (Highlands).. I was able to visit there many years ago (Kinloss, Forest). I miss Donnie SO much..

every river i tried to cross jeden Strom den ich überueren wollte every hill i tried tro climb jeden Beg den ich besteigen wollte every ocean i tried swim jeden Ozean den ich durchschwimmen wollte every road i tried to find jede Straße die ich finden vollte nur für Dich ich bin immer für Dich da - i m m e r jede
Mark must be obsessed with the circus, he calls everyone a clown. I suspect he does know nothing though! Runrig were Anti-Establishment when they formed, I come from the same place and know a couple of them. Please, Beware of twats that call people a 'clown' for no apparent reason!
Not necessarily a clown though. I'm from Skye, where Donnie comes from. Runrig were originally kind of Anti-Establishment (Westminster) when they formed, why do you feel the need to just name call someone else?

Donnie was Runrig, sorry but everything else was not to his standard.
Bruce is way way below Donnie in the voice stakes . How could anyone think otherwise . But why did you not speak to the SNP Donnie ?
Paul Rankine clown
Not necessarily a clown though. I'm from Skye, where Donnie comes from. Runrig were originally kind of Anti-Establishment (Westminster) when they formed, why do you feel the need to just name call someone else?
I'll pass
I like Bruce's voice better for this song.
