We were still having fun with our SL1 characters so we decided to film the rest of our playthrough and make a sequel to the original video. Let us know what you think!

Not only did you do this very difficult challenge, but you did it in like a week and a half. The fact that you did this without using the standard sl1 meta is even more impressive. It makes me happy to see you do this, one hell of an accomplishment to brag about, for both of you.
Thank you!!! Having a companion definitely helped, but it brought along its own set of challenges... either way the fact that we were together helped keep things fun for both of us!

Honestly, as somebody who has beaten Friede twice at SL1 - Good fucking going. That's fight took me 20 hours the first time and I had good equipment for it. I know co-op is a significant difficulty modifier, but it's still a pretty incredible accomplishment.
Love the cuts between the male and female models during the cutscenes right at the end before the final fight - it was so smooth and so synced to the music and tone that I actually had to go back and rewatch to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me. It looked great, and also a fantastic visual for how you were playing two distinct yet indelibly linked run-throughs of the game!
I've been waiting for this. Oh please our lord and lady, Give us more challenge runs like this one. You guys are killing it! By the way seeing you both doing "well what is it" as a souls fan takes me back to the good old giant dad days. You made my whole week fellas.
I discovered this channel over a year ago, and now me and my boyfriend get so excited every time the two of you drop a video! Although I game, I've always refused to play any Souls games because of how punishing they seem, even though my boyfriend has been begging me to play them forever now. But ever since watching Girl play through the series, it inspired me. Me and my boyfriend played through Elden Rings together, some bloodborne, and now we're on Dark Souls 3 and I've become obsessed! Thank you two for always being so authentic. We'll never get tired of your videos!

You guys should do a series similar to this with Elden Ring and the Seamless Coop Mod, I've been playing it with a friend and it works extremely well.
The downsides to that mod is the host can't close the game using the in-game menu and if any helpers leave due to say for example the game crashing then most likely the host has to close and reopen the game but yeah it works wonderfully other than those two flaws
@@MDKGunner The host can close the game using the in-game menu without any issues, they just have to first use an item to "de-host" their game (the mod-specific item you use to disconnect from others).
I know this because we've done it multiple times now over the course of three separate playdays.
As for the crashing stuff, that may or may not be correct, we've had no crashes yet.
@@user-lz5vh9bb5w Strange as the person i've been playing it with hasn't been able to due to both quit options being grayed out and i just used crashing as a example as i've had a few crashes
@@MDKGunner There's still some persistent issues like Goldmask's quest breaking on the last stage and Patches sometimes randomly turning hostile and becoming impossible to pacify, but overall it's a solid mod.
I had no idea Goldmask even existed until the other day i admit and i was lucky with Patches although i am using the Moxie mod along with Seamless along with some changes i've made like making some spells/miracles more useful later on but also more expensive
With the music and the pace of this video, and also the fun u seemly had doing this, this is easily one of the best if not your best video! Bring more please! Keep it going!

Agreed. I found them about 6 months ago and fell in love with every aspect of the channel. Hate these twitch, 3rd person fighters but I ended up watching both vids in their entirety. The editing, the call backs in music and and timing. And a wonderful and happy relationship that I wish I could have. Can't ask for much more.

honestly that necromancer boss fight music is still one of my favorite pieces of music ever and i hope you found it cuz you played the game lmao would add a whole nother level to you cultured-ness
Amazing as always! As soon as you said something about an unconventional route to get the slab I knew exactly what you were talking about and said an audible 'oh no', but then I remembered that the fight gets absolutely cheesed by backs tabs and dividing attention between 2 people xD.
Also, I would really enjoy you guys continuing this at some point and going to beat all bosses, a piece of advice if you do: get the prisoners chain from beating champion gundyr. Its an absolute godsend for low level runs. Also, if you beat Friede, you get the FaP ring +3 which is also amazing for survivability.
PS: there is a funny thing you can do with the FaP ring. IF you keep quickly equipping and unequipping it while running you basically have infinite stamina and dont run out while running.
Also on the topic of glitches, if you are having trouble with oceiros, you can get his stuck behind the trees in the arena and just throw ranged shit at him or just give yourself a few moments to breathe.
Hahaha yes, we realized pretty quick that the SL1+1 formula sorta breaks Friede's AI... which we were all too happy to take advantage of! xD
We thought of the prisoner's chain, but had such a headache with Oceiros that we figured we'd give the required bosses our best shot and go back if we needed it. If we decide to tackle the DLC someday, we'll definitely go out of our way to get it beforehand for the sake of our sanity hahaha

I just love how you use music from previous games in this. It's like that moment in anime, when the protagonist remembers all that he's been through and uses that experience to overcome the obstacle.

well, it's time for me to tell you how much i love this beautiful couple. you guys have been the most wonderful and definately the cutest youtube gmers for me in the last six months, ever since i was introduced to the Dark Souls series - in the nicest way possible - by watching your videos, where you so nicely go through this creepy, hardcore series of games. three months later i passed the trilogy, since then i consider DS one of the best games of my life.

It's me, the guy in the comments here to tell you there WAS a much easier Titanite Slab in Ariandel!
At the very bottom of the icy chasm, across the frozen river from where you fight the Champion's Gravetender and Gravetender Greatwolf, you can find one of the tree women crying in a dead end. Once you defeat her, a ladder will appear in an area just before her, and climbing up that ladder leads to a Titanite Slab. It's the easiest and fastest Slab you can get in the entire game and I often use it for early upgraded weapons.
