It does sound mean out of context, but she really will never change. No girl or magic diet will magically make her thin without her changing her own habits and no one can do that but her. She wants instant gratification and what she wants without the work and self discipline... She could benefit so much from a regular job: a consistent schedule, distraction from food, moving daily, socializing with new people, and better sleep with regular movement.
i was just thinking this. there is not a way to lose weight dramatically immediately, unless she went down the WLS route which she will never do, and considering she physically can’t stick to a diet/medication for more than a month or two, it just proves she will never change. hope we’re wrong, because i truly want her to be healthy, but it’s soooo unlikely
She has such a minimal baseline for being proud of herself - changed a lightbulb, cut up a vegetable, let her mother inject her - that she doesn't need anything more to convince herself she's a fantastic high achiever. We just had the smug "I'm doing the work, not the medication" talk to then a few days later "it's not working anymore and I'm gaining". She documents all of this but never sees how it makes her look.
I think there's hope for everyone. I didn't think Tammy Slaton would make it but she got there and is thriving. It certainly doesn't look like she's near a breakthrough but she still could. Who knows.

Omg, I sabotaged my weight loss efforts with something i admit triggers weight gain for me. And wouldnt you know it, I stopped losing weight. So the meds just stopped working guuuuuuuyyyyys.
This is why i partially agreed with Ydhb saying that Amber Lynn was taking ozempic to "cheat her way to weight loss". She doesn't want to do the real work, that is needed for her to lose weight. Ex. Therapy. Instead she wants to be a skinny legend, instantaneously, with no discomfort and have her thc, buzzballs and whatever else she uses as a crutch. Imho.

When I first started watching her channel, I was really rooting for her to get healthy and lose weight. But after so many years of watching, I realize she will never actually stick to a weight loss plan long enough to be successful.

Literally doctors tell people if they do weight loss shots, they tell you that you’ll hit a plateau, but with intentional physical exercise and consistent eating changes you’ll continue to lose weight.
I feel like the med spa would’ve said the same thing? Maybe not. Idk. But if she is going to a doctor, specifically a primary care provider - she could express the concern to them and they will tell her that she’ll need to do work on her lifestyle as well!
But of course! It’s Amber…she wants results with no work output on her end.
I mean, my doctor didn’t tell me anything other than ‘here’s common side effects and here’s how to take it, see you in 3 months’, and I was watching the news a few nights ago when they had a story about how doctors were underinforming their patients when giving them semaglutide, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t tell her anything.
Now, the changing in diet and doing exercise should just be a given, unless you want to be giving yourself shots that make you feel sick for the rest of your life, but we all know Amber doesn’t think that far ahead.
I think there are not only Plateaus in weight loss, it's part of most therapies and probably the worst, like in mental therapy you have those big breakthroughs and insights in the beginning but than you have this long phase where you already know what's wrong but not yet how to change it, that's where lot of people say therapy stops working for them and drop out.

Exactly sometimes it doesn't work until the higher doses like 1-2mg. I luckily saw immediate results but that's not always the case. This is just a lack of trying. It's sad tbh.

I started shots the same week as ALR. I did 4 shots of .25, and then went up to .5, I just did my third shot of .5. I’m also still having some hunger, I asked my Dr, he said to hang in there cuz I will really start to see that go away when I go up to .75 and 1.0. Not sure why she won’t just give it more time.

I swear at this point she just loves to fail. I wonder if it stems from her childhood. In foster care and even before she probably got a lot of experience with things outside her control, disappointment and promises that were never fulfilled, so now as an adult she chooses to quit and fail before she can be disappointed. That way it’s at least within her control.
I think it might stem more from no one in her childhood (as far as we can assume anyway) taking her to regular doctor/dental visits and such, instilling in her how important this all is and explaining that a GP is your primary point of care, specialists are for more extreme issues, ER is for _emergencies,_ etc. And that each doctor needs to know what's going on with other doctors, for the most part, so they know if your issues are multilayered. I can't recall if Amber mentioned a GP lately but I know for most of her adult life she just went to the ER, who are only there to stabilize you and give you advice on what to do next...so she's never experienced continous care with one doctor. She's still thinking in that ER era mindset, if she does have a GP, where she had to figure a lot of things out on her own because she didn't _have_ a medical point of contact (although worth noting a lot of health insurances come with free 24/7 nurse lines you can call and check things with to see if it's something to worry about.)
And IMO, as someone whose struggled with severe anxiety for a decade and have finally felt comfortable enough to open up fully to my therapist about my issues (partly because she's a good therapist, partly because my anxiety has been curbed enough I can be open), I think she's not at a place where she can be honest with anyone about her mental/physical health, including herself. So she's never going to be able to open up to her healthcare team about her questions and concerns ("my semaglutide has stopped working, what should I do?", and perhaps a subsequent conversation about an anxiety disorder). So she'll never be able to get proper treatment since she'll be tripping herself up, unintentionally or not, around every corner. Even more critically, she's not going to be able to (and I suspect never has) open up to a therapist so they can fully and honestly diagnose her and work with her. And if her mental health issues are never worked on...well a good example is self-sabotaging yeah. We don't know why Amber self-sabotages, but I guarantee it's a mental health issue that she needs to get to the bottom of with a therapist...and that requires being honest...and yeah.
ETA: I'm remembering now that she said her GP told her to go to the med spa right? GP's can prescribe it. Med spa's are likely pop up shops, like the narco whatever treatment awhile ago and a lot of medicinal weed places, that are mainly doing it for money. I see no reason why a GP would say to go to one, so IMO that's leaning things very heavily toward "no GP but I didn't want backlash for getting this without doctor approval so the GP told me to do it this way."

I really wish Amberlynn would see some sort of specialist. Therapist? Beneficial. Lipedema specialist? Great if she listened. A real life dietician ?? Honestly would be great. Drunk and high are VERY similar. That's why when people tell me they don't drink but get high, or they like to get high on evenings/weekends only, I just treat it the same as someone drinking. If you want to do it, you do you. I drink sometimes, so I can't judge. Acting like it's nothing is an issue though, which I think and HOPE she isn't doing.
Lol nuh, one makes me very ill and feel terrible, one stops my rage and helps me stay stable. They’re not at all the same, they are not even classified the same type of substance, and have completely different effects on the physiology. One is physically addictive in the technical sense, the other is not. Need I go on?

@@creatrixZBD I was talking about hanging out at home for them being the same. If you don't drink too much before bed, you can just chill at home and not feel sick the next day. Additionally, BOTH of them impair your ability to mentally and physically react to the world around you. That was the biggest thing I had with both of them. Not to mention that I know many people that have an addiction to one or both of them. Most of the time that addiction is not physical as withdrawals from drinking heavily are much rarer than people worry about. You can go an and feel whatever you want about the difference about drinking and getting high to you. I would never make an argument about that to someone for themselves. Personally I don't like getting high because I quite literally cannot focus my eyes to even just chill and watch TV. I have been close with many people that like to get high and as long as they are just chilling I really don't think a thing about it as long as we are just hanging out. Acting like they don't have a lot of the same downsides is goofy.

Gee maybe, just maybe, her semaglutide stopped working BECAUSE of the Delta 8. She is infuriating. Some diabetics can’t afford that medication, she can and still finds a way to make it fail. Her desire to eat is in her head so no medication like an appetite suppressant is ever going to help her because her mind is stronger. Every single person I know that has been on semaglutide or wegovy or Mounjaro etc it has worked for, including me, I took mounjaro for a month and lost 19 lbs and I am 200 lbs not 500 and I want food, I am not hungry often but I let the medication work and followed hunger cues. She saw it as a magic shot and that was her downfall. Weight loss will not happen without a lifestyle change and she is trying to find a magic cure.

I was in a 2 and a half year long LDR and being far away from eachother does NOT excuse breaking trust and boundaries by cheating on eachother, and it definitely counts as a real relationship. Finding someone in this world patient and dedicated enough to wait for you in that way is a privelage.

That's all stuff that can be cancelled tho, and not stuff you'd do until closer to the move date for the most part...you might start packing a month before and looking into new jobs but you're only required to give two weeks notice before quitting, plenty of time to cancel movers (or cancel plans to u-haul)...idk, I don't believe Valentine existed but this particular aspect doesn't strike me as odd. They broke up June 19th, the plan was to move in August (and possibly end of August) so that's plenty of time to back out of pretty much everything.
