      I loved Wes’s, “Victoria Video,” (I just titled it that, myself… right now… so don’t search that title, lol.🥰☺️)… His expression when he did the taste test, was perfect. Especially loved, (paraphrasing) “Victoria, you might be my new best friend! Call me every 5 minutes.” 😂 In fact, that’s my favourite, “High Falutin,” moment ever. 😍🥰😍 So grateful for both of them! 💝

    I’ve been making these biscuits ever since Wes came out with his review. Then I added 1 tea onion powder, 1 tea garlic powder and about 8 oz of graded cheddar cheese - just like the biscuits from Red Lobster! 😋

    You can make your own baking powder, just mix two parts of cream of tartar and one part of baking soda

    I used to make the bisquick drop biscuits for strawberry short cake, I think this will make a great replacement! Easier to just pour in the pan than making individual biscuits too! ❤😊

    Those ATK biscuits with your flour are my go to biscuits for family meals.

    Of note: if you aren’t using a flour with psyllium husk in it, it’s probably fine to use cold or room temp heavy cream. The heat is needed for the husks to activate.

      I think it has something to do with melting the fat in the cream before mixing with the dry ingredients. If I remember correctly, if you don't take that step the fat in the cream will melt in the oven and will leak out of the biscuit/bread. They explained this on America's Test Kitchen.

      A US biscuit is, essentially, a scone. US cookie = NZ/AU biscuit

    Hi Victoria, I was finally able to get some bamboo fiber due to your shout out that it was on sale. It came really quickly. I can’t wait to mix up a batch of your VKF flour and try it out. I have a challenge for you. I know you like to tinker with recipes and have one that I hope you will experiment with. There are different versions but they are all pretty close. It’s called Jiggly Cake or Japanese Cotton Cake. They use flour and cornstarch among other ingredients. I want to use your VKF flour or one that will work with it,but don’t know what to substitute the cornstarch with. I did some looking but couldn’t seem to find anything suitable. I’m hoping you try this out or have ideas how to make it work. Keto versions use cheddar or mozzarella but I’m a bit put off by that. Please please help me out. Thank you so much to your dedication to make keto a more pleasant experience. May God bless you and your family.

    I would really like to ask a question do I have to use a hand mixer or can I use my stand mixer to mix the amazing bread because It's very hard on my hands I have Arthritis It may seem like a silly question but what speed would it be on if I were to be able to use my stand mixer I am very excited to try this recipe biscuit bread The dream biscuit is fabulous I told Wes You kind of changed the recipe from when he made the dream biscuit to let him know that he should click in and look at what you're doing now if he hasn't already

      I use a hand mixer on low to medium speed and it works for me!

      America’s Test Kitchen mixes the dough by hand, so perhaps using the stand mixer with a dough hook on a low speed might work. It is a forgiving recipe nevertheless.

      You can also make your own baking powder with the following ratio: 2 cream of tartar, 1 baking soda and 1 oat fiber. You can make as little or as much as you like as long as you use the 2:1:1 ratio.

      I would use coconut cream. I've made pumpkin pie with it, and it was wonderful.

    This is great. I have a question. There is a sour cream made by Lactaid brand that is lactose free. Can I use that to replace the heavy cream? Heavy cream can cause me stomach upset. Maybe add some water into the sour cream to water it up a little?

      I believe that warming up the cream is so melt the fat in the cream, according to America’s Test Kitchen, otherwise the dough will be stodgy. Perhaps warming the sour cream will have the same effect.

      Sour cream has half the fat that heavy cream does so it won’t be the same. Butter, however, has a bit more than twice the fat of heavy cream. If it were me, I’d use one part melted unsalted butter whisked briskly into two parts sour cream. You may need to microwave the entire mixture together to get to the right temperature (and, thus, consistency) but I think that mixture will be more successful than just a straight sour cream for heavy cream substitution.

      I have found lactose free cream, but you could try coconut cream in a can. Native forest is a good brand.

      It wouldn't work for bread, but the most popular recipe for biscuits on her Facebook page uses 1 cup sour cream and 3/4 cup heavy cream...makes lofty biscuits that are amazing true southern biscuits... they are traditional cut biscuits, so no wouldn't work here...but great biscuits
