i mean as far as rare golf r, you probably have the most common color. now if you had tornado red or deep black pearl then i would say its pretty rare in that aspect.
Too late I got mine put on, but this is good info for those wondering if they should get the IE manifold. I’m going to do more testing on my setup with the IE manifold
@@joshfourbanger I have parts to build a fully forged motor for a mk6 gti idk if it fits the golf r motors but if it does lmk cause I need the parts gone
You should stick with the stock intake manifold runs much better cooler than the IE one & stock can take 500/650 all day,I’m now about to have my fully forged engine put in this week with a DQ500 RS3 DSG box I’m only running a G25-660 turbo because it suits my way of driving”street racing” so wanted something that kicks in straight away, the mods iv brought is insane,CP piston & rods polished & ported head everything underneath the car took of & been powder coated for protection, ally rear bed instead of the steel one, rear seat delete with K brace and so much more, follow me on the tube I’ll be putting some fresh vids on soon plus after the run in & map I’ll be getting GoPro out and hacking about also running meth for cooler temps and defo gotta have the CSF radiator
I will get more rpm pulls for you brother. The boss 700 is great, I was only running 19PSI for the clips in this video. I am going to turn up the boost this season
@JoshFourBanger nice can't wait to see it . I'm curious with the spool time, I'm running on united motorsport e85 proflex tune stage 2 that's why it peaked my interest
you run 19psi from 30-35psi turbo, that super low. stock motor will not hold the full power of your build, so i dont know what is your plan. try to run 0-60mph and 60-130mph with race box and see how your golf handle the real world test, before and after additional mods.. good luck ! love your build !
I’m shooting right now for a goal of 500whp, you’re right about that I will have to build the motor to reach that goal. I’ve had it on 24psi as the highest boost setting with 93 pump. I mostly used it as a daily up until now. I will continue to document the before and after as much as I can on this build. I don’t see too many mk6 big turbo builds in my area. Thank you for your support!
I’m going to retune the Golf next week, hopefully in May I’ll have it scheduled and have a more in-depth video for you guys The Golf currently has 87,000 miles. The turbo has been in when the car was at 59,000 miles.
@@joshfourbanger thanks for answering keep us posted. I would assume torque is less than 400 because of the motor. Heard anything above it on stock block is playing with fire lol

I have the same model just with 4 doors. Best color and the best car ever
Me too, but with the Recarro seats, currently forging motor. Agreed best car ever!
Love my MK6 GTI, but man, the MK6 R is sexy. Looks great!!
Hybrid turbo on my 2011 MK6 R. 450bhp on standard internals.
Cool car and build man

Stick with stock intake manifold over the IE if you’re under 7-800hp The stock ones stay much cooler and flow plenty of air for 500whp

As a mk 6 Golf R owner who has future plans(way future)for an IE intake I'm just gonna pretend like I didn't read this.
Stock ones break easier and leak! IE all the way!
Got GTI Edition35
Same cdl engine + dsg dq250
but stupid fwd.
What engine mounts do you use?
Big turbo should make over 600hp once motor forged.
Had a 6r forged with a gt35 turbo setup. Ttrs fuel kit was wicked.
I’m hoping to build it in the future to hit over 500 for the channel. We’ll keep working hard to achieve that goal

What are your plans to get it to 500hp one day?? Im trying to go a similar route
Building the bottom end with rods and pistons. Some head work with new valve springs and retainers. To finish it with some ethanol.
I’m going through a similar build on my mk6r with stock internals, what’s the max hp/tq I can reach with stock motor/ stock dsg?
Stock block bigger turbo RS3 LPFP around 420hp and about the same on the torque
I just got one in black 3 door
have you dynoed the car? What mileage are you on with the turbo being on a stock block?

Nothing you have is rare.
Compared to mk7r production run it is.
Even In Europe it's pretty rare. Usually see like 70 golf r a week . Maybe see a few mk6 r per month.
You're just plain wrong. Look up the numbers.
It is in the uk only around 600/650 of them compared to 22,000 7/7.5s
Lol Ruthless
