I just received mine, one looks perfect one looks smashed and out of shape. Thinking about putting a heat gun to it and wedging something in there hoping it will mold back to shape.
Just got these in and noticed the edges along the curb to diffuser and along the side are a bit flawed. Looks as though not clean from the mold or the exacto knife used to cut it was done a little poorly. Apparently, all of the current inventory/batches have these and they recommend sanding/painting. Did you have to any of that?
Have the same Bayson R CS style front lip ,skirts and aprons with the USDM spats on my 2018. Just gotta get the diffuser. I know you went all carbon fiber now. But I would like that diffuser. Who makes it? So I can have one ordered. Thanks.
Agreed Dig the Rear Spat, nice and clean...Looks factory, Great video however not Fan of the Rear Diffuser on top of another Diffuser, Looks a little Busy/Cluttered...Your Ride Looks so clean nothing too Obnoxious. Think look better without the rear Diffuser add on imo...Cheers
I would remove the coating in that area if it’s already applied or do it after you install them. Double sided tape has a hard time sticking to ceramics.
@@Autofreakgarage that’s what I was thinking, so I’m familiar with compounding and polishing. What do you thing is a good way to know I fully removed the ceramic from that area? I don’t want to burn through clear coat if I I don’t have to
Surprised you haven’t add the Perrin wing stabilizers yet unless you’re not a fan of the stiffis. Your car has so many options for add-ons it’s ridiculous. So many different ways to take a build.
Just a heads up those Subaru OEM parts are called splash guards. And thanks for doing this video I have the same guards and had to take off my rear spats to put them on. now I know where to get new ones that'll fit on the splash guards.
I love the way the spats look, gives the whole back end a much more (subtle) aggressive look. Also, like you say looks like it could be stock. Give way is a great idea 👍.
I want that whole cs lip kit on my sti just don’t know if it would look weird in black or it may help even out some of the black trim vents etc on the car also want that diffuser you have it looks awesome 😎
Scoobyfreak86 just got into your channel a couple days ago and I really dig all the aesthetics you’ve chosen. I can tell you really put a lot of thought and planning into every piece you choose.
Yes, they flow very well with the side skirts. They are both from the same company (bayson r) and same style (cs style). It flows very nicely together.
I was on the fence about getting that rear diffuser. I was not sure how it would look, I'm going to pull the trigger and get it. Great job.
It's on it's way. You have great content, keep it up.
Thank you and enjoy!

Leave in the sun or heat them up and you can mold them back to original shape.
@@Autofreakgarage that’s what I thought, it’s sitting out now but sun is going down 😂. Thanks for the quick reply bud! Dig your channel!

I didn’t have this issue. Sounds like it was from a recent batch.

Hpt made the diffuser
Gonna try this with my JDM splash guards. Not a fan of that wraparound design either.
Should work just fine on the jdm as well.
I got that diffuser but in carbon fiber. Best thing I ever got for my sti. Found it on eBay.
Do you think the spats will fit on the jdm aero rear splash gaurds?
Yes it would be similar fitment

What size drill bit did you use to drill the hole for the pop clip?
I think it was a 1/4" bit from what I remember. If it's too small, just drill it out a bit more until it fits snug.
Do you think I could install the usdm spats over a ceramic coating
I would remove the coating in that area if it’s already applied or do it after you install them. Double sided tape has a hard time sticking to ceramics.

Just a 1 step should remove it fairly quickly. Nothing crazy. You’ll know once it stops beading.
What is the diffuser

I’m not a big fan of the stabilizers. The wing is already obnoxious enough haha.

Does this work with mudflap?
Im just asking..btw good video!
Yes it’ll work with them.
@@Autofreakgarage But i saw some people need to do modification to apply the mud flap because the splash guard doesn't fit with it
@@dzulariefnajwan8311 ive got rally armor flaps and usdm mudguards and fits perfect with basically no modifications.
The car is looking good.
Looks amazing. When I am ready I will have some questions for u.
Send me the link so I can buy them
They are in the description
@@Autofreakgarage thank you so much just found them
The rear looks so good! Makes me want to start on mine I like under lowered look
It really finished the rear off. It needed something back there, but couldn’t put my finger on it. Glad I figured it out. I can’t stop looking at it!
I would not be mad about a giveaway opportunity haha. Rear ended looks sick!

Those spatz fits right on the factory rear bumper perfectly. I got the full CS kit on my wrx. I plan to remove them after I get a diffuser though.
The rear spats look perfect!
This one looks awesome! Is it okay to get the link of this specific part? Thanks!

But can you also run rally armor flaps?
You could. But the mud flaps aren’t my thing.
What kind of drill is that you have ?
Milkwakee

I would love the diffuser brotha thank you 🙏

Yaaaassss giveaway please! I’ve been looking at this diffuser for sometime now. Rear spats look nice 👌
Did you do the give away yet?
Yes sir

How “thick” are the rear spats? Do they match the side skirts?
Yes, they flow very well with the side skirts. They are both from the same company (bayson r) and same style (cs style). It flows very nicely together.
Looks great, good job 👍🏽
I plan on wrapping everything in carbon fiber. Much cheaper
Would it fit my 2020 sti ? If so want to sell it ?
Yes they fit 2015-2020

Thanks for watching the full video. I probably will do it!
