Pro tip from an experienced collision repair technician. Do not pull all the backing off the double-sided tape. Pull enough off on the edges so it can fold/roll around the edge of the part. This way, if it needs to be readjusted the whole strip of tape isn't stuck. When you are satisfied with the fit, pull the edge of the backer to remove it and press the part firmly to make the tape adhere.
Bro! (Tanner right?🤔) I’m so relieved you made a video on this! I just got my JDM splash guards after two months on back order and I had no idea how to install them. When I saw Smeedia I knew you would tell me the right way to install em. And like Forest Gump said “smeedia has a way’a sayin things so I can understand they’um” lol aloha from Maui bud, thanks again for the help. And like you, my carbon spats don’t fit the JDM splash guards so.... oh well.
I like these a lot as well. I had these put on from factory. I havent had to put on the mud flaps for the rear. I do have them on the front :) they work great and protect the side of the car. Before i put them on the side of the car was always super dirty. I like the other spats as well. Sad they dont work together :(
@@Smeedia lol i went and looked a little deeper. The usdm what i have is slightly smaller than the jdm. Not a big deal, still looks good and functions for what i wanted.
@Smeedia came together well with some heatgun assistance. I feel pretty good about it. The hardest part was that friggen pop clip on the underside. Installed with rally armor flaps so there was some additional thickness to get through. The flaps collect all sorts of road grit behind the brackets and between all the nooks and cranies.. what a pain. Super satisfied, hides the invidia r400 exhaust when looking from the side. 👍🤓🤙✌️
I noticed your Chemical Guys clay lube. If you buy a bottle of Wolfgang Uber rinse less wash and put 3 ounces in a gallon of distilled water, you got clay lube, a drying aid, and cheap detail spray for emergency bird shit situations. You can end up making 5 gallons of the stuff for like 30 bucks, or less if you already have a spray bottle.
@@Smeedia I just got here because i was wondering if the OEM USDM spat would fit on the JDM Rear splash guard and i am saddened that it wont, i wanted to do both but WOW the price was really that high? I just picked up a painted pair from my local dealers online part website for 104$
I think Versus is what I'll end up with. I'm a little worried that when I air out I'll crush it so I'm looking for a similar set up on another car before buying lol
@@Smeedia that's exactly what i was thinking when i saw how low the car sits. maybe you can just increase the height a bit? I'll take a look at that diffuser cause i've been wanting one as well haha
Jdmuscle has them in ceramic white I just got some for mine . I will say they’re not OEM but they fit exactly the same they describe them as “jdm style” . Hope that helped !

It's a shame they don't fit, I tried everything I could to try and get them to mate up 😅

You can make them work together just takes a little modding 😁

I wanna know how the double-sided tape held up. Lmk if you can. Ty for video installing soon, but no cover from rain right now. 😡
Held up for 2 years until I took them off
Ty Mr Smeedia 👍

Amazing!
Hey bro, can you add the rally mud flaps with those??
With a little modification yes you can
just get some universal spats that are more straight and i'm sure it will look as good .Where can i order the splash guards from
Not a bad idea, rallysport direct carry them all in pre painted colors. I think I got them for about $300 ish 🤔

Where can I find that rear bumper silver covers above both exhaust?
Rally sport direct stocks them but they're JDM parts so I'm not sure if they're still available
@@SmeediaDo you happen to have a video of how you install those ?
What rear diffuser are you going with? Great video as always.

@@MexicanSniper11 I think that's what I'm going to have to do, if I need to adjust the height at least it's easy to do 😅
How do I order the parts you have for my 2020 Subaru WRX
Ehich parts are you looking for? Some have been discontinued
the same part that you are installing in the video the rear spoiler
I belive they've discontinued them now 😭
Why is my hardware different 😂 I have 4 nut and bolts nobody seems to have a how to on the hardware I have😅
Are these the same as the usdm ones i can’t find the jdm ones in ceramic white
They are diffrent, the USDM ones are less aggressive 🙏
@@Smeedia any clue on where I can get a ceramic white one I have a series white 😅
Unfortunately I do not, JDM parts getting harder to find 😭

Can you run these with rally armor flaps?
I'm sure there is a way I couldn't get them to fit with mine
@@Smeedia damn that sucks
The one in this video is the same
Where do you buy your JDM parts?
Yahoo auctions, rally Sport. Subie speed and third party 👀
You can check out japanparts.com it wont be cheap, but they do have some stuff you may not find else where
