- A soldier from the 3rd Assault Brigade, part of the 1st Mechanized Battalion, was wounded and buried in a bunker during fierce fighting. Despite his injuries and the challenging situation, he managed to dig himself out and engage two Russian occupiers.

So the Ukrainian soldier at the end was apparently a truck driver transporting supplies when he got involved in the fighting. He's nonetheless part of the legendary 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, which explains his talent.
I can't believe how he uses his weapon as a weapon and a cane simultaneously. Effective and indignifying all at once. Excellent work.
I've heard there is an interview with the soldier that has been published online. I have not read it.
Isn't he a soldier before the war? This is an experienced soldier.

@@nmg1909it looks as if he had to re-load or clear crap from his weapon but amazing how he maintained concentration despite their grenade and proximity. Real focus that man.

All the things we never saw in WW1 WW2 and all the other wars since that didn't have drones and GoPros in them. And now we see these things happen and it's hard to watch. Even as a combat veteran. Seeing that trench battle just makes me forever grateful I never had to fight like that.

@@Justin-iq9ug Doesn't look like it. He has the same band-aid on his leg and he's hurt there because he's limping. Also, russians have darker uniforms, like those 2 soldiers (dark green). Just google some pictures from the frontlines. Ukrainians often wear green -brown camo, while Russians only shades of green.
@@smieszek8080 yes but no ukrainian soldier has a white strip on the shoulder . They wear yellow blue or green. And i have many videos that i can send u where ukranians have dark green outfits.

I'd say all 3 soldiers don't wear any colours, but the Ukrainian's arm is bandaged, just like his leg.

Yeah, I didn't know if that was adrenaline or if he was concerned the russian would try to eat a grenade while he was passing over, but he certainly did that with emphasis.

The last days of ISIS in Mosul and Raqqah were brutal, but not much was recorded because drones were not on the air 24/7 providing a constant feed and much of the fighting was done indoors.

"in order to fight hand to hand you need to lose your rifle, your side arm AND your helmet. Then, you must search the entire rank of the enemy to find someone as stupid and incompetent as yourself."
@@rshone99 Probably so. Once it gets to storming trenches and the like, very unlikely both parties are going to be unarmed. And if they were, well barehanded it is actually hard to kill someone when they are anything like a match for you, know you are trying to do it, and you are unarmed. And everyone wearing battle armor . . . just can't think HOW you were going to kill the other guy. I guess you would do it eventually . . .
If you were trying, in a warzone, I imagine someone else would intervene before either of you pulled it off.
Sometimes I have a tendency to feel sorry for the Russians, but then I remember how Russia damaged my country, Czechia, with its disinformation, cybercrimes, real crimes and especially with paying the most miserable politicians (Miloš Zeman et al.), and I no longer feel regret.

The grenade did hit him. He gave an interview to one of the Ukrainian channels (I believe it was Butusov's channel). He said that he felt the grenade blowing up behind him and shrapnel hitting him. But he wanted to live another day and he wanted to see his little daughter again so he fought hard and I'm assuming adrenaline helped him quite a bit. He was already wounded before he was hit by a grenade. As you can see he had patched up his arm and his leg before getting in a fight with two Ruskies.

that was a lot of bullets. small arms fire... first it was a grenade, then pistol, then rifle.
Just had a thought. Laser guided bombs and artillery need someone to paint the target.
I wonder if putting a laser designator on a recon drone would be useful. Or if it would be to unstable and or drain battery endurance too fast to be feasible.

Some of them don't. Some of them do. The majority of interviewed russian POWs say they came for money, not because they were forced.

Are you allowed to kill a wounded 🪖, if they're Not a immediate threat??
Yes. As long as a soldier has not surrendered, then they are still combatants. The point of war after all, is not immediate self defense, but national defense, which requires reduction in the enemy's available manpower. If you backed off every time a soldier got injured, they would be evacuated, recover, and return to kill you. But in this case, those guys were still a threat. Wounded russian soldiers have been known to take themselves out with a grenade, and I'm sure the Ukrainian didn't want that happening while he was passing over.
