So now right wing extremists in Hungary and in Romania are using "history" for both wanting small territory in Ukraine. Some of them "offer" even Poland to have part of territories "back" from Ukraine - not understanding that the territories extremists in Hungary and in Romania claim were once part of Poland or the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth centuries before. Europe cannot accept requests for forced border changes any more. Any "political leader" with such requests should be isolated in all international contacts. And the country expelled or at least suspended from Council of Europe. Anything else would lead to new major wars. Germany has accepted the borders imposed after WW2, Austria the military conquests by Italy in/after WW1.

Before you blame Orban for his bid to save Hungarian culture in the Carpathian region, Transcarpathia as it"s been called for 1000 years, you should check out how the electoral boundaries were gerrymandered in order to take away ANY CHANCE from local Hungarians to elect their representatives.
