I would say thanks to you for the excellent and clear presentation of how to use the scroll saw, I am really happy to have a new knowledge how to start to practice a new skill, thanks once again .
Greatttttttt idea's! I wish I could buy plans and templates, but being 74 years old and retired, and on a tight fixed income I can't.I really have come to enjoy woodworking the last two years and will die soon in a pile of dust. ha ha The Lord Jesus Christ has really Blessed my life with many plans. I was building outdoor items, for the garden, patio benches and pet restraints, now I'm enjoy making toys. I really thank all people who make templates at little of no cost.thank you so much Ed.
I play a lot, but mostly easier projects, I use the scroll saw some, as I"m able too. I find the band saw most used. I also like to build toys and do minor work with the scroll saw there too.. Thank you for all I have learned . ed
I found his website about 8 months ago, and your right, he is great. I don't do that type of scroll sawing too much, so I only have a couple of his templates. I do mostly toys and cut outs for building toys. I cut the pieces for trucks and cars, and boats mostly and this is the blunt of my template needs. Thank you for your information, even though I have been using this site and get his emails. ED
Which would be a good scroll saw for a homeowner beginner and to keep it permanent can you please let me know thank you and which are the blades I should buy
Hi Daniela, I mostly use the 3m spray glue because WalMart and Home Depot carry it and it is the least expensive. I'm not really picky about the spray glue I use, just about any spray glue should work for the needs of sticking paper to wood. I always glue my patterns to some sort of tape, so I never need to remove the pattern after it's been glue I just peel the tape and the pattern comes with it.
***** Make sure you have sanded it down to at least a 220 grit I like going to 400 or 600 when staining pine. I also use a sanding sealer on the entire piece of pine before adding the stain. Sanding sealer helps prevent blotching which can be prevalent when it comes to staining pine, follow the instructions on the sealer before adding the sealer.
Hey Dino, the blue painters tape does a couple things. First, it makes it easier to remove the pattern since you are not glueing the pattern directly to the wood. Second, the glue in the tape actually lubricates the blade as it cuts making cutting a bit easier. Good luck and and have fun...Bob
+Goolam Chohan You can get a used scroll saw for about $50.00 or spend as much as $2,000 on a highend scroll saw. The Excalibur in the video is about $850.00 Usd

thank you very much for your help
on the blue tape I find my self using rubber cement lately. It seems to be easier to use and comes off better
I use a white pine. Do you have any tips on easy ways to stain it?
***** Make sure you have sanded it down to at least a 220 grit I like going to 400 or 600 when staining pine. I also use a sanding sealer on the entire piece of pine before adding the stain.
