Tire. I love trash being reused. Re the trouser situation: This is the exact reason why all of my clothing is 100 % cotton. Once I wore some fashionable jeans, containing elastane, and they melted to my thigh. Not nice.

Incredible piece of art, the texture of the tire fits so well I won't ever see a crocodilian without associating it with tires again.
Also, I couldn't help but shiver at the thought of some bird pooping on it while it was being transported and installed outside. 🤣

As super cool as this is (and it IS super cool!), I think you maybe missed an opportunity with the eyes. There are some really amazing YT videos out here teaching how to create reptile/dragon eyes with the elongated pupil which are made from acrylic. They can have absolutely amazing colors (blue, green, red, orange) and follow the high and low light flecks you would see in animals. Maybe next time you do a reptile-like project, you could try your hand at making custom eyes?! Great work as always!

    Dear Heart!
You inspired me!! For a long time, I've wanted a tire sculpture of a HUUUUGE snake I once saw posted on farcebk. It was coiled to strike and it was fearsome.
Now, personally, i don't like snakes, but this snake was AWEsome! Stick THAT in your front yard and you'd have no need for an alarm system!! Making my own version would be right up my alley.
By the way, I'll be 77, soon. And I'm just getting started. I'm learning shop equipment and I've got ideas. Oh, boy, do i have ideas!!!
Thank you. Shalom and GOD Bless you.
