    Great video with NO stupid music! Wow, a photographer and woodworker! I use clear contact paper instead of blue tape and carpet tape for holding pieces together temporarily. It's much cheaper and smoother. TIP FOR ALL WHO USE CARPET TAPE: I discovered by accident and frustration that after placing the tape onto the wood, I had problems getting the backing off from the edge. Instead of trying to peel the paper off from the edge, I use my fingernail about 1/16 to 1/8" on the paper and scrape back. It lifts the paper enough to grab it. Thanks again Skyler.

    Your boxes are a clever idea and so well made and beautiful looking! When I get around to renovating my sailboat's interior I'd like to see some of your ideas on drawer fronts with built in invisible handles, and cabinet doors that are ventilated with decorative slats. I will likely use teak for mine. Thanks for all you do so well.

    I was at Harbor Freight yesterday looking at a scroll saw for a production idea... much faster and cleaner than coping saw.
    ...
    Okay, first i will go check on the tarps to collect my wood chips and come back....
    😳😬🙈🙈🙈
    Some guy walks in and grabs my stuff then heads to the register, buys everything and takes off! 💁🙈🙈🙈😆🤣😂💁💁💁
    So i ended up with a tarp for all my troubles! lol 🙄🙄🙄😂🤣😆

    Very nice box. You could use wood glue on the interior, along the pattern, and CA ont the outer ends, to give quick bond, and better adhesion for the box

    • @woodworkingwithSkyler
      @woodworkingwithSkyler  8 місяців тому

      Yes just a bit of sanding in some spots where I backed up from cut then forward not on exact same line. But that was only on 2 small spots less then a quarter inch section. I used Pegas blades the geometry modified ones. Very smooth cut

    Yes, very nice. But you need a lot of patience to watch your videos. They're too long and you talk too much. Hardly anyone will watch this for long, especially not until the end. Then another tip: Instead of using this unspeakably toxic CA Glue, try using white glue, which you call Tidebond, and instead of the blue tape, use a layer of newspaper. This is more environmentally friendly and the individual layers can be separated more easily.
