    Todays project: Stay Calm - scroll saw word art
    Project time: 30 minutes
    Project Notes: lot of fun
    Materials: 1/2" thick pallet wood - reclaimed lumber - red oak
    Our original templates are designed in Inkscape on a MacBook Pro.
    The videos are recorded using a GoPro Hero4 (great camera) or an iPhone. We use iMovie on a Mac to edit our videos.
    The music in our videos comes from the sound library on the mac which is "royalty free". or

    Nice, but wish you would talk to say what you are doing and why (especially for beginners)

      +Annette Stockwell I agree. I told myself I could do 100 videos before I spoke. Uncomfortable infront of the camera. Learn to edit vidoes and so on. I just passed 100 recently. I will start explaining the process.

      +David Layman I will begin talking in my videos soon. I'm a bit camera shy. So after 100 videos I have to talk. I'm at around 92.

    Thanks! What is liquid are you using? Is that oil or glue or sth else?

    • @RussellsWoodShed
      @RussellsWoodShed  8 років тому +1

      it is mineral oil. it is very safe to use.

    • @jamesmoore3346

      @@RussellsWoodShed look it up on the internet, they explain it but you can mix mineral oil and bees wax together. You have to heat it for the wax to melt. It is a very safe finish and leaves a very 'warm glow' to the project......

    What size blade are you using here.

    • @RussellsWoodShed
      @RussellsWoodShed  7 років тому

      it has been too long to remember. I recommend the Flying Dutchman assortment pack of blades. mikesworkshop.com/collections/blades/products/assortment-pack
      This pack of blades has 5 different blade styles. You can test and find the one that suits you scroll style and materials.

      @RussellsWoodShed  8 років тому

      Yeah. I used Inkscape to design it.

      I've tried downloading but the webpage doesn't seem to exist anymore? I'd really like to see how you did that concept of half and half positive and negative font. I love it.
