Hey Tim, I just wanted to say thanks for putting all of your content out there. I was sniffing around for info about the "Hindu" squat and found your channel and your approach really speaks to me. The motion-concept and your dogma-lite, clear information resonates and feels intuitively wholesome. I am really excited to learn more about this style of action. I work as a wilderness ranger in the mountains in the summer and staying fit isn't something i have to think about because every day i am moving through the world and moving naturally. in the winter, however, although i ski in the backcountry and hike on the trail, it isn't the same and i struggle with a fitness regime to keep the razor sharp. your approach has me really inspired. thanks.
Hey Michael, thank you so much for commenting and sharing. I’m glad you are finding these videos helpful. I’d love for you to keep in touch and let me know how you are keeping the razor sharp! Have a great Christmas!
This is excellent! Thank you! I'm an OT and I try to include as much movement as possible in my sessions and I find your videos so helpful (and loaded with vestibular and proprioceptive input). I have recommended your videos to several of my clients!
Thank you Tim. I followed along with the video pausing the as needed to complete recommended reps. Feel great after a bad night's sleep. Thank you again from Portland Oregon.
This looks wonderful! I’m going to try this next morning! I was doing the five Tibetan Rites as my morning movement routine, but I recently had an odd injury that I’m recovering from that makes me think the leg raises aren’t a great idea at the movement. Discovered Original Strength recently from listening to Dan John and my interest is continuing to grow. Thank you!
That sound is called crepitus. It is usually only harmful to the brain due to the thoughts it makes you have! It doesn't mean anything is wrong with the joints.
@@OriginalStrengthSystem it was tremendous! Felt amazing after! I didnt have to do anything else after, felt completely ready, and had an amazing training session.
EVEN IF IT FEELS GOOD I AM WAY TOO OFTEN TOO LAZY AND DEPRESSED TO DO ANYTHING AND I HATE THAT. ITS LIKE MY SPIRIT DOESENT WANT THAT MY BODY FEELS GOOD. BUT I AM WORKING ON IT. THX FOR THE IMPULSE.
I have the same problem-not at the moment though, thank God! I’ve found some things that help, even if they don’t lead to a full movement session. -Look up throughout the day -Check your posture all day. If you find yourself slumping, correct it by lifting your chest and rolling shoulders back. -Notice your face throughout the day! Sometimes we get a grumpy or sad look without knowing it. Look up with your eyes, soften your face, especially forehead, lift your eyebrows, relax shoulders. -Raise your arms up wide into a V shape. Look up. Lift/open your chest. Take deep breaths. -Reach arms back behind you and open your chest and breath. -I’ve even started these in bed because I couldn’t get up. Every little bit counts. I know how much depression sucks the life out of you. I’ve found that even little “have-ass” stretches in bed make me feel better. Good luck to you!
