There has been a serious fuzz about the Avenger - and from what I can see for a good reason. I would love to test it myself AND I would love to see someone take it to a competition to prove its capeabilities 😎
PCP has come a long way the last 6-8 years and when a more affordable like the Avenger is shooting so well it really proves the progress.
I saw Rick shoot. Love his videos and that he is one of the guys who is attending competitions - and not just being a UA-cam hero like me 😜😂

@VikingAirgunner you are right. You need to switch to 700mm barrel in .30 cal. Couse that's what's everybody is interested in .25 and dirty 30
@@kmom777 I would love to try 25 or 30, but we are limited to 177 here in Denmark like lots of other countries, so with those laws 177 becomes interesting to alot of people - and that ofcause defines some limitations 🙂

I would say that it depends on the distance. For shorter distances I would choose the 13,43 gr KnockOuts and for long range either the 15 gr NSA or the 16 gr Zan 🙂
Try the 95 or 97 percent tunning.. my wildcat and m3 loves does tunning method
another very cool video Peter ! Are both barrels the same - ie are they both 600mm heavy slug liners ?
The liner in the FX Impact is a 700 mm and the Panthera is a 600 mm 🙂
I tried the Dynamic with the 700 mm and the spread was uacceptable, so I went for the 600 mm instead🙂
By the way - have you considered "polishing" the Huma Air single slug/pellet feeder ? When it's from Huma, I'm sure there are no imperfections that would transfer themselves to the case of the slug, but I polished mine just to rule out this as a potential factor that would introduce inaccuracy.
@@nonickname6154 I think that it is very important to pay attention to the overall quality of everything we use. Even if they come from recognised manufactures! With the pin probe and V2 transfer port I also inspected them, but they were absolutely flawless 🤗
Nice presentation as always😊. I have completely opposite results. The Panthera outperforms the M3 in terms of accuracy. Ok maybe that is also related to the caliber (25). I think the shorter ways of the air to the slug of the Panthera helps. It is not so holding sensitive. You have with the M3 a lot of experience. Just work on the Panthera. Im sure you will manage to tune it on high accuracy level. Regards Markus

Thats very interesting! When looking at peoples results with the Panthera in bigger calibers, it seems like your experiences are quite normal. I bet your spread is also very good.
There must be something about the 177 Panthera that is very different. It feels like I have tried everything (I know that I havent 😃)
Actually realised just today that I havent tested the slugs from H&N in the heavy liner yet. That might be worth doing 🤓😜☝️😎😃

Not a very good comparison because you were on a different table and you were hand feeding the FX impact M3. I would like to see you shoot both guns off of the same table and hand feed both guns or use the mags on both guns. That would be a fair comparison. Thank you. PS Also tac the bottom of the target down to stop it from blowing in the wind.

@@VikingAirgunnerjes iam member from a 50 meter club at 15 min drive and a 100 meter indoor shooting club at 30 min drive.
You know I wonder if the panthera’s group would tighten up even more if you had shot it on that beautiful table you shot the m3 on? I realized I was getting less than desirable groups from my panthera with my white plastic fold out table and after I bought a shooting mat and a set of target stands to try shooting prone and oh yeah big BIG difference
Actually I was a bit conflicted if I should have waited using the new table untill after the making of this video, but when I was testing the standard setup with the pin probe and the standard transfer port, I did it at my other range where I have a table that is similar to the new table in this video, and the groupings were quite the same. But this might mean that the Huma setup would have been even better here at the new table 🤔😃
Interesting.. yeah I watched your last video, I too also put a pin probe in my panthera I did not add the huma transfer port tho I still haven’t done any testing in regards to fps or shot count etc.. but man I was so afraid I was gonna destroy those set screws that are on the sides of the barrel, the ones they lock-tighted in. Man they are TIGHT ! I remember just thinking oh no im gonna brick this gun and have to send it in haha but yeah thanks to your install video i was able to do the job.

Manually loading with the M3... ugh. On a cold day you can barely feel your fingers as is.

I am sorry Peter, but you are not giving both guns egual conditions. Different table in a few days. Different optic, better on the M3 than the other. Single loading vs. Mag. The target is showing different wind conditions. Your crono is attached directly on the liner, which changes the poi.
Different tables yes and that might make a difference, but mag or single loading doesnt make a difference when shooting slugs.
Wind is the same - well explained in the video.
Chrono is not attached to the barrel - pay attention before commenting please...
I retract my statemt in regards to crono. I can see it is side mounted on a tube. Sorry for that.
Single loading gives the gun a tiny advantage due to pressure rebuild and time to re-aim for the shooter. I would still claim windconditions to be different at the two sessions ad the paper target is moving more on the first round with the panthera
