- ** It's been a while since I gave the 1050 a good scrub down, so thought this was as good of time as any. I like to keep equipment clean.
** Also, the sensor was replaced and all is well.

Having an ice rink on your farm is one of the most Canadian thing ever
pass the bag of milk eh
Don't sell it:(((
The 1050 was actually the reason why I found and finally subscribed your channel haha.
Going to really miss that tractor that’s why I loved this channel you don’t see this down in the USA
Reasons I subscribed: agricultural tech, cool peopel, good humor, and a man child writing hi in the snow: epic. Keep up the good work, love these videos in the morning before school.
For all you pple doing " cold starts with green grass and sunshine in the background " THIS WOULD BE A COLD START!!
😂 Indeed!
ua-cam.com/video/5PJ4ZMqCw6c/v-deo.html&ab_channel=Robbanrk this a proper cold start :P
I got to say, those Fendt are a good looking tractor.
I like how the fendt 1050 is a very powerful tractor but still retains the traditional tractor shape.
Quite impressed. That tractor hasn’t been running since october 2020, parked out in the freezing cold and after three long tries, is starts.
Other youtube-farmers: Tractor is parked indoors in the middle of Ohio for two days and the battery is dead. :)
OMG that Fendt is HUGE, luv that mean machine Mike, just a virtual farmer here, Fs19 :)
Hardy is from right here in Mississippi, glad to see one of my favorite youtubers listening to one of my favorite singer/songwriters.
Well Mike . Your tractor is ur office 😁 . Fabulous looking tractor 🚜👍🏻
Idea for a later in the year video: Can you talk about your soil on the farm. Maybe show a meter deep cross section or something like that. you mentioned once that you don't plow, how come. That would be interesting to know
Because if they turn up the dirt and it gets dry and then windy, all the topsoil will blow away.
@@mikeznel6048 ...I would imagine that a "No Plow policy" would have to do with a layer of bad soil below the top soil. But maybe Mike can answer that.
@@agejanbosma3731 no Mike Znel is correct Mike has stated in the past that it is because of wind erosion..... which makes quite a lot of sense.... given where they farm on the open prairie
Moisture. Plowing dries out the soil a lot more than one would think. There are also some benefits to minimum till too.
@@agejanbosma3731 most farmers in southern sask don’t work the soil, due to lack of moisture, wind erosion, etc. You must be from Europe if you plow. Doesn’t happen in western Canada. We haven’t summerfallowed or anything like that in 15 plus years.
Congratulations to Frank and Frankel's on getting your Class 1.
Can you tell me what Class 1 is ?
Greetings from Germany.
I'm also German and had the same question 😀
Vehicles that exceed 4,600 kg or 10,000 lbs. Straight trucks, dump trucks, garbage trucks and tractor trailers etc.
@@johnc8112 thanks a lot
Now we know why you are fixing up the massey, it might struggle uphill with the drill but mileage should be lower!
@25Wade P Whoosh!
Finally, a FRANKLES sighting in 2021! Thought he had been recast as a supporting actor
Great video Mike good job washing the 1050
Mike your prolly only person can get people to watch a tractor washing video😁 👍👍
I just saw you wear Engelbert Strauss workwear. Didn't know it was popular in United States. Great choice, i'm used it this too👍Solid
Mike is in Canada. The workwear might be popular here if they shipped overseas, but they don't. Mike is one of the few people in Canada or the United States that you will find wearing that brand.
That is one nice 👌 tractor 🚜 really like
The size of farming equipment is incredible. Some of these tractors make semi trucks look small. That seed drill is enormous and the tractor that pulls it is also huge. The front weight is 3300KG. I picture a full size pick up truck hanging from the front of that tractor.
It's because of the 1050 i started watching your video's Mike i would hate to see it go.
I understand and i kinda feel the same but well its their choise.
the fact that you listen to Hardy is pretty dope
dope.......haha.
Tractor for sale , to be replaced with ........cmon Mike don’t leave us hanging
I’d say a Case Quad or a Versatile Quad.
@Jack Bannock and all agree. Mike and family sure are looking for a Quad, the four tracks tractors were appreciated. They need at least 620 HP to pull the biggest drills flat and uphill in SK. Tracked Case 620 did probably best jon at their farm.
Although still think it could be an idea to keep this beautiful Fendt 2050 at the farm and get some traction added to the wheels of the heavy air cart attached to the air drill. It will help to reduce soil compaction etcetera, by not adding more weight to tractors and so on. But to support traction of the full train by the cart. A cart driven by fuel cell running on for example ammonia can do the job. Maybe to much of an idea for the future?
Fendt 1167
Would love to see a Versatile 610DT tested out on the farm!
It’s good to see Frankles back in action you might hate the hotel room but it’s better then the elk tent I spent 8 months living in while I was welding on the pipelines in North Dakota that was a rough time but the money was to good to pass up! Haha
Best and safest warm up is start the engine wait for oil psi than drive tractor. The quicker you warm up the cast iron the better in the cold the medal shrinks. Tolerance is under specs on pistons and liners. But the correct way is to plug -in the machine.
The 1050 is an awesome monster.
Hey Mike, why are you selling the 1050 ? Is it to small for the drills and too big, expensive for a grain cart ?
Greetings from freezing Germany, tonight we had -27°C
Watch his videos at sowing/planting time. It's got no balls, uses too much fuel and def and is just not a good value for money machine for his farm.
Not saying it's a bad machine, but just not for what he is doing.
doesnt have the traction for the power.
its slipping anywhere from 15 - 30% (even on flat ground with the 68ft one)
so you can imagine that its not the greatest seed drill puller..
fuel burn is okay, tank is to small (800l) on seeding he goes throught a tank in 6hours
Its made for Europe, for Mike is doesn't have enough power
All the replies here are correct, but do not come close to explaining why the 1050 is for sale. Mike has said many times that they bought the 1050 because of the warranty it came with. At the moment of buying them, no other manufacturer offered that kind of warranty. I'm guessing the warranty period on this specific 1050 is now up, and they might be looking to upgrade anyway. I do think they're sorely gonna miss the comfort of a Fendt cab though, if they get rid of them.
@@timderks5960 It has 250 hours on it. Dont think that the warranty is up :D
I get a kick outta Frankle's! He looked like he missed you!! He is also the one employee who gets in the most of your video's!!
So what I'm hearing is that there will be room for a Fendt 1167 MT (673 HP, dual trac), right? Really hope to see you test in front of your biggest seeder.
I thought Mike may be getting a new Quadtrac 620 with the improved cab?
@@nigelgribble8736 I would bet on MT 1100 series
@@vanilakung7563 be one or the other for sure!
MT is very expensive but maybe has the power he needs? What gearbox does it have, a vario?

Oh no don't get rid of it, it's the best looking tractor on the farm.
Good morning from Michigan!!
Hi Mike, that tractor there if it were in my house would never sleep outside! my Fiat 80/90 is over 30 years old and has always slept inside!
Greetings from 🇮🇹
Yes have to agree Mike, that is one sweet tractor! :)
Ready to sell. On eBay: was used by an old german lady just for market groceries and sunday curch trips
Nici nu a trebuit sa ma uit cum te cheama sau ce ai pe canal ca deja m.ai dus cu gandul la Volkswagen si samsarii din Romania, numai bine colegule! Esti primul roman pe care il vad aici! :)) Spor!
Mike it’s like summer in your area, in Winnipeg it’s -41
Right now that’s all over not just there I’m in North Dakota and it’s -47
Winterpeg
Nice 👍
Sir now you're teaching how to clean the mamoth ,that's a good one thier atleast your showing the good maintainance of the machine
Perhaps look at McGuire's or Griots for cleaning and detailing. The fastest one is a wash & wax that is one step, It works great. They also have interior and glass treatments that work very well. Also, there are soaps for the pressure wash that will lift / loosen the dirt and come off with the rinse. When applying wax product to painted surfaces, if you choose, do all the rubber, pores surfaces first with a protection, like armor-all, then the wax will not stick to the pores material. Thank you for your videos
Don't you have triples for that tractor? I would like to see them on even if you don't need them. That would be the goat. Ha ha ! Keep up the great videos Mike . You make videos entertaining even washing a tractor ha ha.
That was a cold was. Tractor looks really nice. Wonder there wasn't ice on the tires when you were standing up there. God bless Mike and family
Haha it was a touch chilly 🤷🏼♂️😂
It would be nice to have those temps back again and not -30 and windy.
God Bless you Brother and your Family ❤️😏🇺🇸🙏🏼✌🏼
Hey Mike,
Maybe you know already, but you can raise or lower the suspension manually. Just hold one of the two suspension buttons die a few seconds and you will notice what happens.
If you apply tire shine on to the floor of the tractor.. it makes the floor shining black! I do it to all of my tractors. Looks better than the gray look
I'm trying to imagine the building you'd need for you all to park your stuff inside. Really really big according to my math.
One day the Larson’s won’t have the biggest shop
I think randy the tile guy, the Millennial farmer's buddy has a very huge shop, maybe 2 to 3 times the size of the Larson's.
It would be visible from space
@@lowellwalter9420 there 6 new bins allready are
@@amargill4819 they already have mentioned wishing it was bigger lol
It breaks my heart to see all those beautiful machines parked outside.
@Dry Creek Cattle Co. I only write cheques for things I own.
Another great video Mike! :) Thanks!
That looks cold to me but guessing you where searching for the beach. Good video your shop looks so small with all your huge equipment next to it. Guessing if you didn’t replace your equipment then it would pay to store it indoors. The tire cost alone could justify it. Tires are like vampires the sunlight does damage them over time.
And the birds say HEY LOOK A CLEAN TRACTOR, LET'S GO POOP ON IT!!!
Wow Mike that's a cool job you the man keep up the good work
When mike needs to put tractor mats in all of the tractors, combines and sprayers
Mike the website is tractormat.com
Morning Mike and clan, as always thank you. Question: we get to see the regular “Not Ready for Prime Time” cast members, but how many actors and actresses actually perform there on a daily basis?
My guess, ALOT. I mean just from looking at some of thoese MACHINES alot. Like seriously some of the other channels I've seen and I was always recommended him and I was like wow, this is what I was missing.
@@jacobk75 I am figuring that I would have to take off my shoes to count them all
The obassso is sweet on them get one you will not be disappointed I’m from swift current sk and work in oil field key energy
Nice looking tractor, Mike! Maybe you could start on a smaller scale and build a building for just your tractors or at least some of them. Possibly design a building you could add on to and expand as funds become available. Just a thought. You take care!
Hi Mike! Congratulations to Frankles & Frank for getting their CDL licenses.. Woo hoo 🎉🎉🎉 The Fendt is looking mighty nice after her bath ❤️❤️❤️
Mike I have an idea for a shed, a shed only on some poles and a roof, it's open but not very expensive. It's in Austria very common
Have you seen size of his equipment? It is way cheaper to build only roof but with winds they have I doubt it would stay up long.
Yeah maybe but then he can at least get the tractors in
Mike, you guys should use the spray foam on your equipment before just washing it.
Didnt look like a microfiber rag to me 😂 A pro tip right there
You either have a old pressure washer with a 2 piston pump or you have a bad check valve in your pump. I can hear the tone in the spray.
I saw it listed in the Market Book, I just wish I could afford it! Lol
It is a shame it didn't perform as well, but if there is a MT replacement I am still interested to see that the next time you go "Fendting" with mr Fendtils... :D
Still, would love to have driven and felt that 1050 for once in my lifetime anyway.
I started playing your videos to phone salitors,, "Mike I have a question" Sooo^ 👍
Hi Mike its Willart from the Netherlands.
I like your videos keep up the good work.
If I won the Powerball, this would be my new daily driver, god traffic would be fun....
Why oh Why are there always haters, the title of the video is "Fendt 1050 gets a clean up" the Fendt got a clean up. Were those numbskulls who gave the thumbs down unable to understand the title? What did they expect to see, A John Deer get a cleanup? Thanks for the up load Mike.
Sometimes I accidentally bump the thumbs down and don’t even realize it. It’s not a big deal.
It‘ll be sad to see the 1050 go
Hey Mike I have a question, are there any news on the merch ? I am hyped for it. Greetings
Saw this tractor shopping on TractorHouse then saw this video
So you you're having a heat wave huh? Way to jinx all of us, lol! Going down to zero here in south Missouri this weekend with a nice ice coating, thanks! Hahaha
If you think about it, Fendt really is underperforming their potential. Think if they made a 4 track or an articulated 4wd tractor. They got the quality to make the best tractor, now they just need the size and power to actually make it the best tractor
And IMO, they're new 2 track ain't gonna cut it. Mike's gonna compare it to the quad track and the 9rx, no 2 track is gonna outperform a 4 track
@Dry Creek Cattle Co. Oh I never heard of that. That's weird
@Dry Creek Cattle Co. Yet they had/bought AGCO Star, aka Massey 4x4s, aka McConnell...I don't really think AGCO wants to get into the 4x4 market either.
@Dry Creek Cattle Co. *Articulated 4x4 I meant.
Also it figures for agco, they doing rapid firing brands, when no one exactly wants that.
@Dry Creek Cattle Co. I thought those were the repainted Versatiles, or are those the actual Caterpillar branded ones?
Well that's interesting anyway, but I'll never see one, as for agco to actually play a roll in my state and area, they need to have dealers. Dealers that stock parts and know about the machine.
Also 2014 was a long time ago in the tractor world.
@Dry Creek Cattle Co. www.oemoffhighway.com/engines/engines/news/21202196/mts-upgrades-constructiongrade-tractors-with-caterpillar-engines
These are the ones I was thinking of. I seen them at Butler Cat and other cat dealers quite a bit.
"Ag tractor" can be a variable term...as I know in some areas they still use things like D6's and such
I just looked on tractor house and saw it
Schöner Fendt LG Franz aus Österreich
Ok Mike I got a question: why you don't lower the front linkage when te tractor is standing still for some time?
why would you need to?
@@casefarmgirl2279 Because it would to avoid ovalizing tires and rims
@@RickyCervo Did you make that up yourself?
@@casefarmgirl2279 I mean it can help. In cold weather the tyres become hard and it could make the tyres hard to stay round and might make it bumpy ride
@@killianmurphy8527 No offence Killian, but arent you the kid who told some young lad it was safe to use a roadhammer compresser to pump up a tire without a safety regulator? On Farmer Phils video. Oh yah this is good tractor,,from Germany !...
Do you wash under the cab? I like flush everything from transsmision and stuff, because there is always much dirt and somtimes even nest form small birds. And this is not good for all cables, sensors and so on. I even lie down and wash everything under tractor.
Nice work, hllo from borneo indonesia
Hi Mike, very nice job 👏
I dont know but we dont put our hose that close to the paint with a preasure washer. Our dealer told us not to, i have no clue if he knows what he is talking about
If the paint fly's off you're too close, if the paint doesn't move you're good to go.
A new Fendt 1167 coming?
I really like your tractors
But Mike, I have a question; Do the Berts get the same treatment as the 1050? You know Armorall on the seats and so on? 😂
I really like the way you treat the equipment on the farm 👍
No.. Unfortunately.. The Bert's have the hardest, dirtiest jobs on the farm
Hey Mike I have a question, where did the term “Bert” come from ?
Its funny to hear you say its warm outside at zero degrees. We get a little ice and snow here in Oklahoma and schools and businesses are shut down for two days. I work for a oil company and only essential people which are the crafts and trades were the only ones that went in.
I like the look of this tractor but honestly the John Deere Cockpit is much nicer. Not a fan of these buttons at all. Much rather have physical switches.
She is a Beauty Beast😍😍😍😍
