Nice video. Just to add to your repair. You can use two medium sized zip ties to re-install the wire around the front of the rubber door gasket. Works great with new stiffer springs. You just close them around the wire and grab each zip tie with each hand to pull open the wire. Slide the zip ties up to the spring to release them. Just had to do this with mine, those new wires ain't so easy to re-install I can tell you. Had to get the thinking cap on, so I thought I'd share my solution.
Thanks for this excellent video. Just taken the pump motor out of our machine as drain was failing and the resistance is down to 140 ohms and like yours there is a strange rubber band vibration on turning. So I've ordered a used motor on Ebay for just £16 (
When you put the pump back on on the video (8:20) it wasn't your "lefty loosie and righty tighty" comment that you referred as being the way to tighten it but in fact it was opposite. You tightened it on by turning it left not right.. Just wanted to clarify that in your video...
Can't figure out why mine won't drain.. impellers are spinning on the pump the filter is clean and the out let hose is clear...ps the model is the W classic ..left off for 15 min etc..please help thankyou
@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel thanks so much will give it a try ps hoping the top of my w classic just come off by removing the side tabs removing screws and pulling up ? cheers
I have the touchtronic w3033 model 120v. The pump just went on it. It looks like this one. The pump still runs when you select drain however it will not lift water to the drain pipe.
That's a 2000 model i have the 220v model so it can reach 195f on sanitary. I don't like the idea that the machine does not have a rinse cycle or darin and spin a miele fail. But maybe as usa model they did not care about it. After that they made the first 120v model and of course lower the max temp to 160f. My issue is with the w1. Won't drain clean the trap replace the pump now looking for a new motherboard as the pump only gets 36 v and not 240
That does sound like a motherboard issue. If possible it would be good to do a continuity check of the two wires that go between the pump and the motherboard to make sure there’s not an internal break in one of the wires.
@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel sounds like. Well i check the voltage and the pump only gets 40v and not 220. So i order a new motherboard from italian miele as usa miele are useless. Waiting to be shipped

Won’t this void the warranty?
I think the warranty has most likely expired.
What’s the model number on your washer machine?

Have an European model WT1 that needs a new drain pump. Know how to access the pump. No front lower kick panel, so not sure how to remove front panel.
