It's honestly amazing how many reactors miss that connection. It's not like it's obscure. Joker says where they're each being held, Batman literally says he's going after Rachel, then arrives where Dent is being held. What, they think Batman's GPS glitched or something?

The Dark Knight is an awesome movie. The vehicles, the Tumbler and Batpod were very cool. Christian Bale and Heath Ledger were made for Batman and Joker. They were amazing. Rest in peace Heath Ledger. You were amazing for Joker.
The scene where the joker gives the gun to Harvey, it's funny because if you look carefully and know a little bit about guns. The joker's finger is behind the trigger, he also has his thumb holding back the hammer, so even if he pulled the trigger you wouldn't have shot the joker.
@@veot.2869 The dark knight is still the greatest superhero movie of all time over The Avengers: Infinity War because it won Oscar’s awards and not Infinity War
First: The pencil scene reminds me of John Wick. Second: Joker knew that Batman was going after Rachel that's why he switched addresses. Every man's weaknesses is a girl.
You would never think that a film about Batman would be so meaningful. The meaning of life. The meaning of doing the right thing Just incredible. Loved watching it through your eyes! As we say in Texas; y'all be safe.
Me and like 5 other friends went to go see this in the theatre when it first came out. My best friend Tracy was sitting right next to me, I kid you not, when that girl got hit by the bus. You heard this collective gasp from the crowd, and almost immediately after that you hear me and Tracy just laughing hysterically, after a good 30 seconds of laughing, we finally caught our breath and Tracy shoots toward the screen "You dumb Bitch"
Batman won't kill Joker the same way he won't kill Ra's al Ghul in the first movie. Except Ras was perfectly willing to get on a speeding train, and Joker never leaves himself open to being left to die. Batman threw Joker off the building, but because Batman did that, he'd break his own rules if he didn't catch the Joker. The fact the Joker was betting his life on this is one of the biggest signs he's ruthlessly intelligent deep down.
Both stories of the joker weren't true. He changes his story everytime. His origin is a complete mystery, even in the comics. We don't even know his real name. But many people theorise that he was probably a war veteran in his past life.
Tremendous movie, great characters, cast & a Awesome director, with some Amazing Hans Zimmer music Definitely recommend HEAT(1995) One Awesome crime Saga set in L.A
Christian Bale still feels that his performance as Batman wasn't that great in the Dark Knight trilogy, even though we fans loved him in the role. Yeah, there's joke videos making fun of his "Batman" voice to this day, but still. I think the fact that he's still so hard on himself about his portrayal of Batman shows how humble he is as an actor imo. I think this was arguably the best superhero film ever made, and it's not even close. The fact that this film and "Logan" never got nominated for a "Best Picture" nod at the Oscars was truly a crime because it shows the blatant bias the Oscar voters have. It's still a great movie. I think Jack Nicholson probably plays a more comic accurate version of the Joker. Yes, there's liberties taken with his interpretation, but it's still closer to the comics than the other live action adaptations that I've seen, unless you count Caesar Romero's version being accurate to the campy version of Joker back when Batman comics were going through their "tongue in cheek" campy stage for awhile. Although, I think Heath Ledger probably plays the scariest version of the character, and he plays off of what was established in the first movie if you think about it. Ras Al Ghul said in "Batman Begins" that people tend to fear what they don't understand. In "The Dark Knight", we don't know anything about the Joker, and his motivations are always shifting to where he'll backstab anyone he wants at a moment's notice even if it doesn't make sense to people like us. This makes him an unknown entity that makes it easier to be afraid of him because you don't always know what he's capable of half the time. It's also why he refers to himself in the film as an agent of chaos because of his unpredictable nature. There's so much solid symbolism in this movie that anyone can draw from that I love it. I know some people hated this trilogy because they felt Nolan was being selfish for not having this trilogy establish the overall DC cinematic universe for other characters. And my thoughts are on this is that not every superhero film needs to connect to an expanded universe. Nolan even said it himself that this trilogy is a realistic character study of how being Batman would take it's toll on a person physically, emotionally and psychologically over time. He never intendend for it to be a starting point for a expanded universe like the first Iron Man film was for Marvel. Plus if I'm being honest, I think Batman is a character that works better when he's not connected to the other DC characters; apart from the Bat Family obviously. I say this because if this film had been set up in an expanded universe, then the first thing you'll ask yourself is "why isn't superman investigating this? Wouldn't he want to clear his friend's name?" Or they might ask "Wow so none of this crap caught the attention of the Justice League?" And as I said in my blog about the remake to "Pete's Dragon" awhile back, if you're busy questioning how realistically possible something is, or asking too many questions about the movie's story, then it takes you out of the film. I think by having the dark knight trilogy exist as it's own thing, it allows you to get more into the story because there are no other heroes in Bale's universe that's going to bail out his Batman from what happened in "Dark Knight." The fact that he's the only hero in this universe makes him more of a unique character in an unjust world full of corruption, which is beautiful. Why change that?
Joker is holding the hammer of the revolver down while pretending to give Harvey the power to stop him. Even if Harvey pulled the trigger, the hammer wouldn't fall to fire the revolver.
Not a real fan of the 3rd film. The absence of the Joker was constant with me But I do highly recommend seeing "The Lego Batman Movie" (2017). You don't even need to see the first "Lego Movie" (2014) since they are narratively separate. But the first one is also really really good too!
The Joker: "The only sensible way to live in this world is to live without rules". But that in itself is a rule. Its not a case of Rules Vs no Rules, but rather, which rule? The Rule of law or the Law of the Jungle, which has its own set of rules such as Might makes Right or Every man for himself (e.g. Ayn Rand Libertarianism). Rules and Laws are inescapable. Even criminals live by some so called "honor code" of ethics. The Joker as an "agent of chaos" cannot escape a world of rules no matter how much he tries. But he's as close to being as a pure Anarchist as anyone in history.
we're so used to rules and what we're told, what we're supposed to be. Joker shows us this corruption even in the real world. But it's just a movie, right? Ps: I love your reaction :)) Just a Dude from Germany
Oh yes, Harvey died too soon. I'm sorry, but you don't kill a Batman villain when they're introduced more than halfway through the movie - especially a major member of the rogues' gallery. But it probably had to do with: a) the original plan of definitely leaving the door open for a Joker return, but we all know the tragedy that befell the amazing talent, thus making that impossible; b) TDK STORYLINE, and the future storyline if a third film was made (a third film was never officially guaranteed, even took more than a year after the TDK's release IIRC before they considered a third film - officially speaking)... If Two-Face lived, then there would be no way to cover it up, the people would lose hope, and Joker would've won. That's why I WISH they would've saved the crimes of Two-Face for the third film... I think The Fallen Knight has a nice ring to it.
Batman has always been a "Villain". He's a vigilante whom the police were officially looking for as a criminal suspect. He just wasn't an arch-Villain like the Joker was. Its why Batman was an anonymous mask wearer, otherwise he'd be arrested as Bruce Wayne, a civilian who would never get away with the things Batman did. And as Alfred accurately noted, he was Batman's "accomplice". So with the death of Rachel only Lucius Fox and Alfred Pennyworth know who the real Batman is. But I think that people's admiration for so called "heros" or anti-heros is a reflection of their deep dissatisfaction with the real world's painfully slow moving Justice system. Yet that is all that we really have. So its nice to occasionally escape to a fantasy world of faster non-bureaucratic justice.
I love these films but I just can't take Nolan's Batman seriously he's too goofy. From his silly voice to his awful fight scenes. I love Nolan but he's so bad at fight scenes. Look I hated the DCEU as much as the next guy but Batfleck was awesome. That warehouse scene puts Nolan's Batman to shame. That's how Batman should fight in the movies. Except less murderous. Ben Affleck was a fantastic Batman he just had bad writing and poor direction. Warner Brothers simply hired the wrong person to lead the DCEU. I don't hate Snyder I just wasn't a fan of his vision. I don't think superheroes are his thing Punisher is more his style.
Nolan went with a more realistic take on Batman throughout his films, from his "silly" voice to the fight scenes, as opposed to what they did with Batfleck. The warehouse best summed this up in resembling a video game fight which you definitely can't take seriously.
@@echelon2k8 Nolan did not prove that because his Batman is terrible. His Batman is laughably bad. The writing is great but his Batman is lame. If anything Matt Reeves proved it.
