A lot of Transformers One references Transformers Prime and even has flashbacks that are very similar to what happens here. It shows more of the relationship between Optimus and Megatron after they’ve left Cybertron and it touches on their relationship as Orion and Megatronus (or D-16). Also more Airachnid‼️ Arcee and Airachnid are nemeses and their rivalry is awesome. They’re also both so well written.
I'm joining in with this, Transformers: Prime is a surprisingly dark show, in certain respects. Especially compared to other Transformers media available to the youth. Beast Wars is an amazing piece of the 90's, but get ready for the early-age cgi. If you like Transformers: Prime, and you can tolerate Beast Wars, the latter's sequel, "Beast Machines" is also an interesting story. Start with "TF:P", then the Beast saga, if you can stomach the very aged animation.
Yeah, TF One tooka ton of lore lements form the Aligned continuity (TFP takes place in that continuity) like Orion's D's friendship, Starscream;s backstory, Sentinel being puppet ruler, the caste system etc.
I love the symbolism birth of Optimus and Megatron. The fact that Megatron looks like he's rise but in reality fallen, by becoming a Monster who just killed his "Brother". Optimus looks like he's falling but instead Rising up as a Hero, who will in the lay down his spark for others, so they can have a better future.
Fun fact: Alpha Trion is voiced by no other than Lawrence Fishburne, the same actor who played Morpheus in Matrix, once more time telling another people they're living a lie
Loved you that you enjoyed it Remma. This took me back to 80s when I was a kid. I love that we finally show Primus is Cybertron. What you caught is the rage and the jealously when Orion was selected as Prime, because Orion / Optimus saw Primus's vision. That his transformers were not supposed to fight each other, but the greater threat of Quintisons and even larger which is Unicron which I know you watched 84 animated. Primus is brother to Unicron...Primus is order/goodness - Unicron is chaos/evil. If you listen to Orions's speech about cogs and spark...that a transformer isn't defined by the cog, but the spark at his core...is very similar to MLK vision of not seeing color of skin but the quality of character. Transformers message is pretty deep for us as human beings. That we each have a spark to make our world better or worse. How we use our gifts matters. What hit me hardest is while Primus was dormant..he felt his people's pain and was listening. AKA Optimus getting his name because Elita-1 said blind optimism. That once a Primus had a new Prime he was able to comminate with Optimus via the Matrix...and allowed energon to flow and give the cogs back to his people.
There was an end credit scene, just fyi. This movie was so good, but the marketing team failed it and it didn't do well at the box office. If you enjoy this movie and want a sequel, please tell everyone you know and buy it digitally or physically Great reaction, I'm glad you enjoyed it! One of my favourite moments is when Optimus is giving his speech to the minors, he's surrounded by a lot of the "main cast" of Autobots (Jazz, Arcee, Brawn, Ironhide, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Hound etc..)
fyi Transformers One is new origin... is very easy version for any new fan or old fan that never watch tv series or read many version comic. is awesome finlly they made full movie animated and give idea the golden age of cybertron.
I love that you can tell how it broke Optimus’ heart to fight his friend and banish him. Great animation, and good voice performance (in that moment, I actually don’t like Hemsworth’s performance for most of the film)

Interestingly Optimus' name had nothing to do with him being optimistic, Optimus Prime literally means "First, Best" in Latin.
