Pokemon Sword and Shield, the latest step in the evolution of Pokemon is making Pokemon history by being the first Pokemon RPG game released for an HD console, the Nintendo Switch. For Pokemon, Switch could be the game changer that forever alters Pokemon evolution and Pokemon history, but from the first view of the Pokemon Sword and Shield Trailer, fans have been in an uproar about perceived changes to the Pokemon formula.
Andrew’s Pokemon Sword and Shield review is unsullied by the controversy of Dexit, he really enjoyed the game, but to him, it still doesn’t touch the amazing Pokemon Gold and Silver. Any new Pokemon has to live up to its amazing legacy, and as we learned from the response to the Pokemon Sword Shield trailer, fans have extremely high expectations. In the world of video games, it’s not neccesary to have the appeal of Pokemon explained, from the adorable antics of Pikachu to the groundbreaking Pokemon Go, the series’ impact on gaming cannot be denied. Game Freak and Nintendo have created a monster out of their monsters, and while Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are amazing games, there’s always room for improvement.

Gold and Silver (and the remakes) are still my favorite games to revisit. I love and enjoy pretty much all of Pokémon, but no games have quite hit the way those to have with the story and of course the best post-game ever. Generation 5 came close though.
They're mine too. I went out of my way to buy a gba sp and an authentic copy of gold. Costing a pretty $120 about 2 weeks ago. Worth it and I love it ❤️
I want them to remaster gold and silver for the switch
Nintendo went to the trouble of creating special hardware to allow Pokemon Gold and Silver to have as much content as they did, but when game freak released X and Y, they couldnt even create at least 100 new pokemon or allow players to access another region, or even deliver any postgame content more than 15 minutes? what happened to people really trying to pack in as much content as possible? To me, the ultimate pokemon game would allow players to visit all 7 other regions after completing the main story
Before Sword, I hadn't played a Pokemon game since gold and silver. It feels good to be back but it is surprising how little it's changed in good and bad ways.
Pokemon Crystal Version was my first game. Gen 2 was my favorite of all time.

I totally agree! I’ve liked all the other generations of Pokémon to varying degrees but the first two gens of Pokémon and their remakes are my favorite. Nostalgia definitely impacts my opinion though tbh. Loved being able to travel back to Kanto in the post game and see what has happened in the Pokémon world since RBY

I don't like the idea of opening up the order of gyms and adjusting their levels. It's built into the core of the games and their stories. Everyone wants to be a champion, but they need to weed all the weaker trainers out. Still , great video, great points, and loving Sword right now
Yay, Fire Emblem! I actually stopped prioritizing playing Pokemon when the GBA Fire Emblem came out. But I have to agree that Silver and Gold are the best. The others are great. But Gold and Silver are on a whole other level.
You can get to other regions you just need to get all 400 Pokémon in galar

For a series about evolving, it sure doesn't know how to evolve. I will always love it, like I love my level 5 starters and even then they're definitely better once they evolve., ❤️ let's go biggest franchise ever, do something 👍

Hey, I know this comment might be un-needed, seeing how y'all replaced SourceFed Nerd for a while now. But don't worry, it doesn't bother me anymore, companies will be companies. I actually really like this video to be honest. But I've noticed that y'all haven't grown much since. So, I'll just say, maybe try to do stuff that SourcFed did, have your hosts interact with eachother and the audience like they did in TableTalk. Have the hosts do fun things and just chill like they did in SFPlays. I'm sure you guys would grow exponentially if y'all did that. Cause honestly, your hosts don't really catch my attention, they feel like they're all just standing in a line in the background and just get picked at random for videos. Not to mention your style of videos aren't that intriguing either, you need more than just a couple of top ten lists and analysis videos to be interesting. Just a little bit of my thoughts for y'all.
