The Legend of Zelda video games, throughout history, have been some of the most iconic and influential titles in the history of gaming, and it’s legendary hero Link has become one of games’ most recognizable characters. Even though there have been many a Link throughout the history of Zelda and the evolution of Zelda, all Links have at least a little bit in common, and in our Link comparison we’ll focus on how his outfit and appearance has come together over the evolution of Link. Hyrule history is filled with heroes, and through the years Link evolution has seen him go from a simple sprite to the ultimate hero we know today.
From The Legend of Zelda on NES, and A Link to the Past to Ocarina of Time on N64, Wind Waker on Gamecube, and The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild on Nintendo Switch, Link, Zelda and the rest of the Hyrule gang from Nintendo have captivated us for decades, and then and now, Zelda, Link, Ganon and all the others have provided some of the greatest character designs in the history of gaming. As we approach the release of Super Smash Bros Ultimate, various versions of Link are set to duke it out on the ultimate battlefield on Nintendo Switch. Link is no stranger to the Super Smash Bros series, but judging from the Super Smash Bros Ultimate trailer, the incarnations in Smash Ultimate might be his most formidable fighters yet. From TLOZ to BOTW, the NES to the Nintendo Switch, Link is truly legendary.
