- Beating Pokemon the way Nintendo intended it...
I've played every Pokemon game multiple times, but I never actually played any Pokemon game exactly the way Nintendo intended it. I've done a Pokemon challenge and Nuzlockes before but not this. Today we will be playing through Pokemon Fire Red, using the official Prima strategy guide endorsed by Nintendo. Since this guide has the official Nintendo seal of approval, that means this is how Nintendo actually wants us to play this game. Let's see how this turns out, and if it really is the best way to beat Pokemon!

I traveled along the cave walls until I eventually got to the other side of the cave.... it was the most satisfying bright light or ladder I climbed ever.
Those challenges of not doing things the right way made my Pokémon so effin strong.
My cousin would rare candy all his Pokémon and I still beat him.
I miss those Pokémon every single day. I lost them in my crystal game when I forgot it on a bus on my way to Texas.
To this day it's one of my saddest moments. The bus hadn't Departed yet. I went inside to look for the game!

@Jo Jo That's how most translations from Japanese feel like, to be honest

@@PaPaSea USUM has a guide. I wrote it. Here's an excerpt. "Main battles have good IVs and EV train, so EV train or just grind a lot
Honestly Pokemon (and other rpgs to an extent) is just about the only game that could justify these guides. Have you seen some of the evolution methods they've added
Yamask (Galar) needs to take 49 damage in one fight without dying, and then walk under a specific arch without healing.
There's one that needs to hold one of a certain item while you spin in place. The direction you spin, time of day, and the specific item all change what it's evolution looks like.
Karrablast and Shelmet have to be traded for each other specifically.
Eevee evolutions were changed so that the location based ones (because two required specific locations to evolve) are suddenly pre-existing stones that never worked on Eevee, and Sylveon evolves the same as Umbreon and Espeon (friendship), but overrides those two if it knows a Fairy type move.
Goomy and it's line needs to level up in the rain to evolve. But not Rain Dance Rain, in an area where it's raining in the overworld.
Inkay requires you to hold your system upside down. Idk if you can do that with a docked switch by just holding the controller upside down.
Tyrogue has three forms, and they depend on whether your attack is higher, lower, or equal to your defense, something that is difficult to manipulate without knowing values the game doesn't directly tell you.
And that's not including hidden legendaries, form change items, TMs and HMs, etc. There's no way some of those were discovered by accident.
@@getthegoons Inkay needs 3DS to be flipped upside down immediately after reaching lv 40
