- A review of the Babolat Pure Aero 98 2023.
I consider the line and who this might be suitable for, whilst also play testing the frame and comparing it to the racket it replaces, the Babolat Pure Aero VS

I would love to see a video where you can sort of guide players through choosing how to steer a racquet towards a certain characteristic. For example, how I've heard it's generally a good idea to have crisper strings in softer frames or how to get more power out of a slightly more advanced stick. Sort of how you made a guide about how to pick a racquet (which was super helpful to me btw and I landed on a wilson blade 100 v7)
Glad to hear you’re feeling better. Looking forward to your string reviews. As a suggestion could you review the strings in a hybrid too. Appreciate you can’t do all but it’d be great to hear about popular hybrids, including some poly poly hybrids.
Glad to hear you didn't have any arm issues! I did make a switch to this racket but then started to have shoulder pain whenever I served that eventually wouldn't go away. Still may work fine for most but it is something to make sure doesn't bother your shoulder or arm before switching to it.
Yes i have arm issues with pure aeros
Hey! I developed that shoulder pain on serving with any racquet that I use or switched. Im sure its just a technique issue. Also Try to strengthen your shoulder, dynamic stretches, dead hang, and warm up slowly on serves(I did all of these).
And Once I found the right technique on my serve, the shoulder pain was gone. Now Im serving aces!
How about a review of the Prince Ripstick?
you've got really good footwork. nice work.
Hi Andy, I always like to see strings compared to other popular strings in terms of characteristics. More spin than string x but less than y. It helps to gauge (no pun intended) where a string sits. Lovely review as usual.
Thank you, very helpful 👍
Volkl C10 Pro (Yellow) has altered everything I thought i knew about rackets, you gotta review it. Soft, controlled, whippy, flat , spin, touch...it does everything
It does get mentioned to me a lot - will review for sure if I can get one somehow
Hey Andy, great review… I’ve been playing well with the 16x20 Shift… Which one do you prefer: Shift or 98 Aero……?….. I hit with a one -hander… Is one better than the other with this stroke? All the best, Ciao, John. btw: First time with full poly.. MSV Swift Soft at 53…
The Aero 98 and the Drive 98 are both great frames. I would say string them at only 50lbs. You'll still get good control and they'll feel great. They are frames for at least intermediate players though. Great, stable, controlled power frames, good on the attack.
3:57 BOOM!
What are the top 3 sticks you have been using most due to you enjoying them over the last couple of months? You actually looked you were hitting great this this stick btw!
Thanks! I have 3 go to sticks - all customised to the same
Swing weight - head speed mp, Wilson shift (16x20) and prince ATS textreme tour 310. Have kept them after reviews and when I have started to enter stuff again recently I have gone with the speed or the shift . Thanks for the comment
@@tenniseuphoria5012so you ditched v core 95 as your go racket?
You fh looked good with this one. What was your strung ra?
Thanks for the video, very friendly.
Good video, I am a person who hits the ball hard but flat and it is difficult for me to lift, I always fight with the net and so that the balls do not come out in the background because I hit very flat. Which racket can be better for me, a racket with a spin 16x19 type pure aero or Vcore 2023, or a control racket with a thin frame type Wilson Blade v8?
Can you compare PA98 to Iga tempo? Both 98 power rackets from top 2 players in world
Can you compare ezone toural. Also control on flat shots
Word of advice: you should hit the ball a bit sooner / more in front of you or else apply more spin. If you hit the ball late you are stressing your elbow (specially if you hit flat). Also leaning forward towards the ball helps rather than leaning back. I was there a year ago and also had elbow pain, now with correct technique pain is gone and can even play stiff sticks 😄
Is this advice for Andy? There’s nothing in his existing technique that particularly predisposes to tennis elbow, and I wouldn’t advocate he make the sort of changes you’re suggesting.
How does it compare to pure strike VS 2022? Not the same headsize but a controlled frame.
Would you say this is better than the pure strike 98 16/19, current play with PS but would like tad more power. Weather looks amazing 😊
I have both... PS98 is more powerful, PA98 more spin and control
@@nakmuay5034 Just got the Aero 98, find it easier to play with my backhand love it lol
This racket killed my elbow. I went back to using the PAVS and Head Extreme Tour Auxetic.
Sorry to hear that , hope it is recovered.
Me too, this racket is arms enemy
@@tenniseuphoria5012 It did. I recently took the Extreme Tour and put RPM Blast in the mains(53lbs) and Luxilon 4G Desert Bronze in the crosses(51lbs) and my elbow is not almost 100% recovered.
What was the strung swingweight?
