Jean Pierre, I’m a 4.0 old senior with a one -hander… It’s becoming apparent to me that I have to go to lighter frames, not so much for my forehand, but for my backhand, mostly. Can you recommend frames that are under 11oz strung that have impressed you? Ciao, John
Well, depends also on your game style and current raqcuet. Impressed is a big word but you could see the Wilson Blade 98S, Head Radical MP or Speed MP, Tecnifibre TFight 295, Wilson Shift 99.
Hi! I am an advanced player, unfortunately I didn’t play in the last years and I am coming back to play frequently. I don’t like very stiff strings. What type of strings do you recommend? Which tension?
Love your reviews man! Would like to hear your intakes on the new vcore 98 and how it compares to the aero 98. I imagine these frames are directly competitors. I currently use the vcore pro 100 which I like a lot, but I want a bit more weight of shot without loosing too much control, so I am excited to try these 2 frames.
Thanks ! Better access to top spin with PA 98, I'd say the prestige is more comfortable. If I have to choose I pick the Prestige. I have a love/hate story with Prestige 😀 Have played a long time with prestige 600 and MP, alternating crazy feelings on my backhand and horrible feelings on my serve and sometimes my forehand. That one could be better for me for those shots. I'd like to test it again with a low tension.
Quick question : any advice on customizing this racket or would you suggest using it in stock form? I'm presently using a Pure Drive 100 with about 12 grams added (handle and 9-12). Merci d'avance
I've been wondering whether to upgrade from my Wilson Blade 98 v7 to either the Babolat Pure Aero 98 or the Yonex Ezone 2022 98/100 for approximately three weeks. I feel like I’m lacking spin from Wilson blade 98 and I like to hit with a lot of spin on my forehand and flat on my back hand. With my current racquet I struggle sometimes redirecting people’s pace. The stability is lacking so do you have any suggestions of which is the better option for me?
You'll get better access to top spin and more power with the pure aero 98, stability won't be especially better. Ezone 100 even more power. I find the EZone 98 not that powerful, I'd need to try the last one with low tension to see if I get a good amount of power.
Merci beaucoup.....and thanks for the English version..although I still speak schoolboy French.I was subscribed to your channel, but for some reason it seemed to disappear.... I'll re- subscribe as I really like your take on the racquets and strings......cheers.
Strange your subscription disappeared. Glad to know you like the content. If I had time I talk about other topics like the mental game of the technique, I'll see, maybe in the future.
Very great review! exactly the review that i need. I am atm in a dillema. I am using pure strike 3rd gen 16x19 with lead on 3 and 9 o'clock to increase stability. I feel like to add more top spin to my shots. i would like to upgrade to 2 option: Ezone 98 2022 or Pure Aero 98 2023. Do you have any insight?
PA 98 is a good idea I think. I'd need to play again with the ezone 98 because I stay on a review where I lacked power and it's strange, I think the tension of the strings I had might have been too high.
Great video JP! What about the 360+/Auxetic Rad Mp and Pro on power compared to this PA98? I have the Touch Speed Adaptive 16x19, leaded to 310g unstrung, 22mm, 59ra strung, 317sw strung, I believe my Speed A should be less powerful than the PA98, would you agree?
Thank you ! Haven't tried the auxetic rad MP. I think they'll be a bit less powerful but not sure. I'd expect more comfort. Not sure you'll have more power with the PA98 compared to your speed because you have a 100 head size and 16x19 string pattern.
Not bad for 1H because it's easy to swing, frame not too big and not too rounded. For powerful flat shots, control is good with proper tension. VCore 95 would scare me a bit for power level.
Hi there ! love your contents ! if been using blade 104 . and want to change to more top spin friendly racquet, i've been contemplating between pure aero 98 or pure aero 100. i would love to hear your opinion regarding my choices. Thank you in advance !
You could also give a look at the Wilson Shift 300 g. Pure Aero are spin friendly, the 100 a bit more than the 98. Between these two it's a question of power ; the 98 is less powerful, a bit easier to swing also for instance for a one hander.
I'd say more comfort with the Extreme, same sweet spot, I prefer the Extreme for topsin but the PA98 is fine also. The Extreme Tour feels very light for a 305 g racquet, like it's empty in the head, a bit too much for me. I'll review this racquet soon. I almost liked it apart from that.
I did it a while ago in french, not sure I'll do it in english. Mainly the racquet is less powerful and has a bit less access to top spin than the 2019 version.
I play with the pure aero 100 but I'm thinking of switching to a racket with more control, I'm in doubt between the aero 98 or the ezone 98, which do you think is better?
No racquet is better, it depends on each player. For me the Pure Aero is a bit more powerful but it's long since I tested the EZone 98 and the tension was too high. Aero better for top spin, it felt ligher to me because of the balance. EZone a bit more comfortable. If you like the Aero but just want more control, maybe better to go for the Aero 98. The best would be to give it a try.
The pure aero 98 is more spin oriented. I find the PS 16x19 gives more comfort, more vibrations/shock absorption. Not that far for power, maybe a bit more for the pure aero 98 but not sure. The PS 16x19 gives a nice amount of power also.
Well, it really depends on every player's feeling. For me it's easy to swing, not bad. I prefer the Blade 98S and the prestige MP L particularly for my 1H backhand.
@@team-tennisenglish1514 I've been trying to make it my best shot also, before it was my worst. How do you think I can get more consistency in my overall shots? Also, could you try and review the same way the Artengo TR990 Power? I just got a pair and they feel nice, but I want to know from a more experienced player like yourself.
@@7Bisosi7 Consistency requires good technique/top spin/training, good shot selection, security over the net. I review only racquets available at Tennis Warehouse...
You can get power and spin from any racket if your technique is good. People buying the latest models of their racket shouldnt its a companies dream😂. Having hit with the demo pure aero 98 its so similiar to the VS version its not worth upgrading at all. In my opinion
Yes and no. Yes topspin depends more on your technique than on the racquet. Nevertheless, some racquets clearly help someone who already knows how to produce topspin more than others. Head Prestige Mid / Wilson Pro Staff 85 / Small head sizes with tight string patterns like 18x20 much more difficult than 100 in² / 16x19 for instance. It is not by chance Nadal uses pure aero. He'll play well with Head Prestige but not that well. For the racquets I had in hands, Pure Aero 98 is easier to swing than pure aero VS, similar besides that.
These rackets and strings today or a complete joke they’re watering down the game they’re causing people to have less and less abilities and they’re performing the entire game for them where previous generations how to use their skills to play the game today you’re just using the racket in the string does all the work for you tennis has been completely water down. So should the game revert back to wooden racquets? Using your logic the game should remain static and Fed, Nadal & Novak are just products of the equipment.

I think good technique remains fundamental. Give any racquet to someone who does not have a sound serve technique and there won't be miracles. Same for topspin. Give a topspin oriented tennis racquet to someone who does not know how to produce topspin, the racquet won't produce topspin for him. Modern racquets have changed the game in terms of power and spin, but a good technique is still required.

Thanks a lot. Next reviews I don't know, I guess it'll be the new VCore but maybe I'll try the Gravity afterwards.
U said stiffness goes from 67 to 69, ur spec sheet on screen said 62RA. So is it stiffer or softer?.
I'm assuming that was a typo, no way this racket has a 62 stiffness rating.
Oops, it's a mistake in the video ! I had the info of 69.

Pure Aero 98 clearly easier than the pure strike VS, more powerful.

I don't know which racquet he uses. It seems it's close to a stock racquet and should be not so far from this one. To be confirmed.
