Eliminating one car per round is the wrong way to do it since maybe one of the the already eliminated cars could be the best in the next round. Awarding points is better.
Absolutely. Keep them _ALL_ in the test and mark them from 1st to last place for each test and then tally up the points at the end.

You should use points instead of elimination. Excluding the most fun one and the best one overall is not right.
If you’re taking a road trip, rear window visibility is unnecessary. You always deflate inflatables and bring a pump. And stand the luggage upright…no need for the privacy shade. That’s the real world!

Yeh we go on holiday with XC90 and without it we would be stuck I swallow 4 large suitcases and any other bits and 2d is torque and the t8 is rapid.
What is the T8 like in the rain? Does it have traction issues on the front axle?
@@Adamlllllllllllljjjljljjjjj I had it 2 weeks I can't remember driving it in the rain but no 4wd car struggles in the rain? My XC60 has 450bhp I nailed that in the snow TC didn't even come on.
@@Adamlllllllllllljjjljljjjjj any car has under stear if you really rag them especially 4wd but I do drive them like I stole them.
@@rajindernijjer Aah ok thanks. I read a while ago that the engine in the t8 hybrid only sent power to the front and not the rear, meaning that 300hp got sent to the front and 100hp was at the rear so I was wondering if it actually seemed like a 4wd car or more like a fwd car
@@Adamlllllllllllljjjljljjjjj I didn't have a problem. Don't think majority of people who drive a Volvo will. XC90 feals more grown up than handling on the XC60. Good review to watch is carwow

"Death Match" is a bit on the nose for these vehicles that are so good at maiming and killing pedestrians and cyclists.

The Q7 is half a class bigger than the X5 - it should be compared to an X7

They’re both rivals. Audi doesn’t offer a rival to the X7 like Mercedes does with the GLS

X7 competes with a GLS and the full sized Range Rover.
The trunk volume is measured under the devider, which makes no sense for an average user.

Not really in the class anymore. It’s quite a bit more for a hybrid Range Rover sport

That is not how a test should be done, the Audi and Volvo both weren’t shutting their boots automatically as it detected luggage in the way, so forcing it shut is not a proper way to do it and it would put strain on mechanisms and you have probably scratched the plastics too. The BMW is the only one which took the luggages with ease plus that split folding tailgate makes it better. I would definitely have the BMW over any of those. Audi and Volvo doesn’t do it for me.
I agree. Watching him shutting the tailgates of Audi made me covered my eyes. Literally no respect to the tested vehicle and people who lent the cars to them, and definitely improper way to close the tailgate.
This is turning out to be a really poor test.

The way they loaded the XC90, they left zero rear window visibility!
I bet a big estate would fit more. And be more fuel efficient, drive Better, stop quicker and be less prone to falling over.
I don’t get the SUV trend at all.
My wife has a 5 year old X5 40d and I have a 5 year old 530d Xdrive Touring.
Mine accelerates quicker, stops quicker, corners better, drives nicer, does better mpg, cheaper on tyres & brakes, cheaper to insure and tax, and has almost the same real world sized boot.
I didn't understand SUVs either, until it flooded where we live. That's my wife's argument.
My argument is don't leave home for 5 days of the year and have a better car for the other 360.
I don’t know either. People feel safer being sat higher up and older people find smaller crossovers easier to get into than a lower car
I'm 6 foot 5. Twisting my spine to get in and out of my touring wasn't nice. Even smaller X3 seems much better. And we do get plenty of snow here during the winter, so extra clearance helps.
@@darenzy that’s fair. I’m 6’4 and never had a problem in a normal car. But I do get people with mobility issues may find something higher up better. But I don’t think most people who have them fall in to that category.

Stupid test. Got rid of the only one with a usable EV range - the BMW.
Silly and illogical way of eliminating the cars. Should be a points system. No prospective buyer is going to reject a car just because it doesn't hold an extra suitcase. By the way, the very expensive Volvo just looks ugly and plain compared to the others and should be rejected on that criterion alone!
