Hell son, we'll fight with our Flintlocks if we have to.
Damn I need a lever gun.
Your best quick reload option for a cap and ball is a New York reload (having two or more revolvers)
Henry makes a lever action that uses detachable magazines and is in 223 / 5.56 NATO. For people living in ban states that would be a good choice.
Rossi 92 in .357, and Taurus Tracker in the same caliber for me. Tube speed loaders for the Rossi are easily made.
Solid video as always. I wouldn't trust using anything older than a SA/DA revolver or a lever action rifle/Carbine for modern self-defense if needed. Although, a Martini-Henry would be cool to have.
Not saying id prefer it but the furthest back cartridge firing (and it was paper cartridge firing) I can think of is the m1841 Dreyse needle fire rifle. Paper cartridge firing bolt action is definitely sub par but it's not a muzzle loader single shot.
A 12 gauge coach gun loaded with heave load of number 4 shot .
Good up to 40 yards and it's looks are more intimidating..
Two 1858 Uberti Remington's. Conversion cylinders. Uberti 1858 Carbine .45 Colt Plus your Black Cylinders. Yea. Long term. Short range. Big fan of the ,45 colt.

I would rather my 1858 rem copy than a cheap 25acp or 22lr
Great video as always! Thanks for answering my previous question with this vid.
For me the only gun on your table I feel gives me a fighting chance would be the lever action rifle. I would definitely prefer a AR15 or AK but the lever action would be okay if I was only going up against a small group of five to eight bad guys armed with handguns. But that being said a semiautomatic is just so much superior. Even a Ruger 10/22 puts out more firepower than the lever action.
