This lot are really going hard. It’s not parade laps in expensive-one-of-vehicles. It’s real Proper racing in expensive-one-of-vehicles. Bravo to all involved. It was spectacular to witness.
@@themrmarkprior I'm shocked how hard they run em, I swear I was watching real racing ! Folks...this is downright awesome. Godspeed ,I guess there is nothing that money can't fix. When you are told it's not fixable, just throw more money at it. It works every time.
Best racing I've seen all year! These guys treat the cars the way they should be treated and not locked up in a garage somewhere never to see daylight again! I'm booking my tickets for next year as we speak!
It's 1970 and the sixteen year old me is riding his 1968 Norton P11A hard from West Vancouver to Squamish B.C. Mountain on one side, sheer drop off on the other and I'm almost dragging my foot pegs. The motorcycling clip took me back to my youth.
How refreshing and thoroughly entertaining to watch such beautiful old classics being used as they were intended, rather than hermetically sealed in an air-conditioned garage simply wasting its time away. Also special mention must go to the insanity of racing Minis and Cortinas alongside Galaxies (I think 😉) what a spectacle! You could almost fit a Mini in the boot of one of those Galaxies!
The Galaxie overtaking the Cortina while sliding through the grass is obviously unfair but hilarious to watch. Love seeing the drivers beat these lovely cars within an inch of their existence!
Danger is absolutely a factor, especially in the pre war cars. They aren't modernized and typically don't even have seat belts. Yet they are still absolutely full send.
Its nice just seeing the classic cars being raced hard like they used to and how they should be. Always sad to see a old race car sitting collecting dust.
That recovery of the Galaxy at the end was 100% brilliant. He set the slide up while still in the grass, slid onto the pavement in PERFECT form, let the tires bite, and then resumed the race. Just brilliant.
Smokes F1 into the weeds. Visually, technically (kinda basic, and simple is brill) and just the raggedness of it all. real racing and a genuine spectacle.
Does anyone else feel anxious watching these irreplaceable pieces of motoring history twitching and sliding in the wet? I don't feel this way watching current racing because they are replaceable, but watching these cars racing puts me on edge... Don't get me wrong its amazing racing, brilliant skills on display, but my heart is in my mouth 😄😄
Those that are original race cars and not "recreations", have pretty surely already had their share of body damage repairs. Damage and breaking stuff are an part of trying to win in racing. Like Mario Andretti are quoted for once saying: "If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough."
once a car is valuable enough, it's impossible to destroy. Rowan Atkinson crashed his F1 twice, burned it once, and still came out ahead. accidents in even more valuable cars hardly register. plus many unobtanium cars have an exact replica that is transferred behind the scenes when the real car changes hands.
We NEED the likes of this back on normal terrestrial TV, the motorsport calendar needs more of this to survive without US having to fork out £1,000s each year - you managed to do it before the like of SKY, so go back to you roots where we all started from by seeing this for FREE!!!
Wow, talk about billy-big-b4lls, amazing stuff boys. One small bit of feedback , a lot of expensively bent tin could be saved by fitting DECENT SIZED WING MIRRORS ! Modern ones are not asthetically pleaseing at all, granted, but for racing like this you need to know whats coming up behind you, and wont do that with mirrors the size of a powder puff, or not fitted at all. Thats madness. ! Just fit them for racing, take them off when displaying. I would.
Well this was frustrating to watch. Why show the tail end of an incident first, then show what happened fully, but in slow motion? Slow mo doesn't make things more dramatic, as things appear to be going slower 😂
Which moment had your heart in your mouth?
Thankfully none of them
None, but that first cobra sounded on song
Nope

When the owners are billionaires they don’t care and for once I’m totally on board 😂😂 makes for absolutely spectacular viewing
its amazing. and im sure they fix any minor damage and keep them in good repair
Often expensive two-off vehicles, but I won't tell if you won't 😅

@@MrTheHillfolk you can't drive this era of racing car gingerly, it won't handle correctly and it's less dangerous to drive them as they are designed,
I think 2024 Revival had the most intense racing so far. It was a total blast to watch!
Seems like these guys at Goodwood produce better coverage than the networks.

Yeah the craziness of youth.😂👍
Simply SUPERB - thank you Goodwood Revival, again.
Amazed to see those old Galaxies performing so well! I’m 71 and never thought of the neighbor’s beater could ever be anything other than a beater.
They are definitely going hard! Great video!!!

I had watched one of these races yesterday and was amazed at the balls to the wall racing in very very very expensive classic cars.
I swear i can hear half of those drivers going "shitshitshitfuckshit", a bunch of absolute mad lads
motorsport at its best
this has to be the best motorsport channel on YT ❤🔥

Great !!! 1000% better than today F1
It never gets old seeing huge American muscle roar past. So fascinating to see the difference in car design across the world!
Last one is definitely the ultimate “pass in the grass”, start to finish of the move, he was on the grass and kept his foot in
Isn't that called leaving the track and gaining an advantage and so he should give the place back?
@@maxrothery9196 I liked how he got the car drifting just ahead of regaining the track and slid sideways into perfect approach for that corner😁
That last one was beautiful.
Watching those guys around the 3:00 Mark onward, with the in-car view, that was beautiful automotive ballet, wonderful work gentlemen.
Amazing racing, they don't mess around
These guys must have built more distance between their clutch and brake pedals. Huge balls to drive these old cars like this. LOVED THIS!
Love seeing Jakes car control

Proper racing. Love it.
so many 63 Galaxie's! So wild they race with Mini's...not a pairing seen back in the day
That Aircraft Carrier at the end there, sure was loose from its moorings !!
We like it a bit loose over here on this side of the pond. Powerful but loose 😉
That is a massive driving skills demonstration? Wow
Stirling MOSS forever ❤

That white American car at the end of the video spent more time racing on the grass than the track.
“Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting.” Gilles Villeneuve
Is it shorter across the grass?

That one at the end was soooo cool and naughty, but was almost an absolute disaster. Imagine getting T-boned by a runaway Yank-tank... ouch.
A big ford passing in the grass makes me think he may have run a little moonshine in his youth

insanity :)
I like how they didn’t add the green mini cooper that was sliding on the grass when it was behind the galaxy

Great racing, shame it was a terrible event if you weren't a member or grandstand ticket holder.
