I am clearly not the only who is absolutly fan of this series and can't wait the next episode each time. Thank you so much and have a great day
Thank you for watching it mate :)
I am just so amazed at how YOU can take something as grungy and dirty looking, as oil factories, and turn them into something to simply BEHOLD. OUTSTANDING!!
When I have a case of a single house whining (and the other ones next are not) I tend to give them a shut-up sauna. A pool or any of the other health boosting assets will do too, as long as they're close by and in its green radius. More often than not that is enough to stop their complaints.
The health mechanic in City Skylines is really odd. Noise pollution only seems to matter if the citizen health drops too low. If you can boost their health enough, they'll happily live wedged between a train station and a high way cloverleaf.
Even though it’s Monday this is my week
it's monday but the time is 6:05pm
The noise complaining tower may be a result of the taxi depot, not the train station. Taxi depots are exceptionally loud for some reason so maybe just moving it could solve the problem.
I love your modular builds like this and attention to detail so much. I enjoy using first-person camera to buzz around my city, and because of your help, I 've turned my city into a much more aesthetically pleasing and interesting vibe from the Cims' perspective. Thank you for all you do as a content creator and teacher! ❤
Gld to hear that friend! Thanks for watching :)
At the foot of the bridge there should be a toll booth entrance to the other side of the plant so it not a cul-de-sac.. but all in all it looks terrific.. this is easily my favorite build to date on any channel.. I was actually sad to see ilos the last couple of days but I'm glad it's gone (I'm a vanilla player nothing against ilos just modded builds) wonderful as always OE!
I could not wait for this. My favorite series by far! Please keep on doing this
Same here 😂
Haha thank you! Glad you are enjoying it :)
Nice! Great modular build Egg, and hope you enjoyed your time off!
The semi-conductor building has "FAB" on it, could I perhaps suggest "Fossil And Bone Power Station" for a name?
Also, the fencing on the rear of the build is facing the wrong way. I know, I hate myself. 😫
The fence police!!
Great name mate, thank you! Perfect to go opposite fields of golding
@MrSunshine251 The fencing faces the right way, they are preventing the workers from going home ^^
i really like the addition of the police station next to the tool booth! (my headcanon would be that the building was firstly used to pay the toll, but as technology advanced and the system was changed to electronically collect tolls, the building was repurposed for the police)
Don’t know if you fixed it later on in the video but at 18:55 you can place the taxi depot somewhere else as it also produces noise and if you add some more trees there, you should be fine
The trees I place in this episode do end up resolving it :)
17:45 I have a feeling that the real culprit for the noise pollution here is the taxi depot rather than the train station.
Love this build! Really like the semiconductor building - hugely important industry, especially now. "FAB" is short for "Fabrication Plant," so it's fun to see that detail in the asset. I don't know that it would necessarily be a problem to have the placement you've given it, but fabs are extremely sensitive to vibration and massively expensive so they tend to have careful site selection (this is due to the nature of the fabrication machines; highly recommend the Intel video tours of their facilities to anyone who's interested).
I've seen some of the intel tours on Linus' channel! Those places are nuts, would definitely make a cool build in Cities! Thanks bro!
Aw man, SUCH A GOOD WALKTHROUGH!!! Explaining the landscaping... Poor man's surface painter... the old abandoned factory... the 1x1s that "don't count as zoning"... and the water plant is a nice touch too! The walkthrough makes me want to go watch your framing again. I know I could do that, too!
Should've maxed the toll booth for when all the oil trucks came in lol, make em work for you. Love the series!!
Thank you OG, I was a complete Biffa watcher for last few years, since finding your channel and content I look at the game so differently - mainly taking more time over small area’s to build what I want them to look like (console user so more appreciate your recent boobs guide)
It's Monday, it's eggs noob guide day. Always my highlight of the week.
Another Monday, another gorgeous overcharged build! Though I'm wondering, would it be possible and fitting to include some bike access into the build? I remember being to the Netherlands once and having a bike trail next to an industrial area much like this one, and it seemed like the workers used it to commute there. What do you think?
For sure we can bring bikes through here! Thanks bro :)
The perfect start to my week!
How about a food truck plaza for folks for lunch? They are a long way from everything. (Posting before the final review)
Love this build. The generic industry is fun.
Who could guess you could aptivate an audience by building a powerplant? I usually spend 10 seconds on them. Thanks for the inspiration.
Loved this episode. always wanted to build a "power area" and watching you build this given me some ideas. thanks as always for your incredible content.
Welcome back Egg,i hope you had a good time at your vacation.
I am really looking forward for the downtown episode!😁😁
Me too! Thank you, I did 😁
I work for a power comany. The repeated power plant vibe is so true to life. They tend to put in one unit, then a few years later put in another. We have one with 8 different units, all looking a tad different as technology progress. Verry cool that you can achieve that. It is too bad they don't have natural gas instead of oul because that is much more common. The large indusrial yard with lots of props is so true to life as well.
Awesome awesome build as always OE. I'm glad that you had a nice holiday away, you sound so rested and excited to get back in this series. Suggestion- might be a good idea to turn that one road in front of the oil storage to a 1 way road to help move those filler trucks around the area better. Love the addition of the office buildings in the area as well. Can't wait for the next one dude 🤙
Every monday starts kind of meh but then you drop an ep and the day gets good.
btw: You better leave the rensidential tower close to the train station. It fits there perfectly. Maybe having a small doctors office close by helps?
@@duszhduszh my thoughts exactly
The style of building is changing, really nicely, with these new assets. And utilising existing ones in new ways. The way those power stattions and vanilla industry mesh together is so nice 👌
A great way to start a Monday! Looks so good in that little area.
Nice modular build! It would be nice to see the university city grimy houses in the next residential expansion you mentioned
Amazing build as always! I love how everything just sits together to nicely! So well chosen/thought out! Keep the next episodes coming! :D
What an perfect way to relax after work! The city is looking so beautiful 😍 🤩
Just great, the fence police 🤣...cant blame them when that fence is specific for use...lol Great tucked back power plant facility. 👍
Would make sense if CS made it reversible with a click like one way roads.
Eggie, cool episode. Indeed, it was a smart move to make a power plant district.
I suggest using the ore fence areas with overgrown inside to create the idea of empty lots for sale. You can also use the forest fence in residential areas to create the feeling of real state development. I personally use them to fill up gaps and not overuse trees or gardens.
One more thing. The city needs the Wolf Church/Cathedral!
This is such a nice power plant! I like how it hugs its boundaries with the interchange and the asset choice is superb.
Oh I love builds like this, taking notes for when I need a power boost in my city. That double power line detail is definitely something I want to try. It's a little thing but there is something very satisfying in seeing it.
Also, yeah, people do live near train stations, I have. It really sucks when you get woken up by a train in 2 am and then again at 4 am, every night xD
2:35 I love the music there! Is it from Mass Effect? It feels similar and so good!
It is so nice to be back in the Land of Egg. Binged this series and am up to date. Loving it! I forgot how relaxing and chill your vids are. Loving the music. And I've certainly missed your sense of humor. When you make it back to Karen, I think that area is screaming for a ferry stop as well. Maybe between Karen and Sharon (North Karen? South Sharon?). They can fight over who it belongs to.
I think you could easily say the water treatment plant has something to do with cooling or waste processing from the power plant.
Been following the series for like 6 eps now. Good job mate.
Mondays are made for this city. 😊 so happy watching this. Thank you 😊
Skipped a few videos and built this in my city, I really like how you mix and match different buildings together
16:26 that office building would probably also double up really nicely, creating a somewhat longer office block with parking all along the rear
perfect timing. i was searching for this between your videos yesterday
And the master is back!
Don’t forget you can have an industrial area without any of the processing buildings and the game will just import the raw material and you’ve already got two full tanks of oil to supply the processing buildings
Nice use of a lot of assets. Love how you combine the different zones.
I have watched a lot of CS and this is by far the best serie
For the parking, i guess you could've used the organic commerical specialization for EV parking but that is quite time consuming
You can use monorails rails to imitate pipes with oil
The water treatment facility actually isn't all that out of place, water is integral to the way most power plants work (everything from coal to nuclear are just different ways of heating water into steam, which drives turbines) so you could easily say that the treatment plant is preparing water to be used in the plant's systems or treating water that's already been through the cycle.
Detailing time-lapse music was on point this episode. 👌
Another configuration that absolutely inspiring, lovely....
Thanks for the entertainment as always.
Love it! Can’t wait for the next one!
man this build series is the coolest!
maybe if you move the taxi yard, the tower can stay ;-)
Great build, like the purposedly abandoned building.
Only thing I never understand why you always insist on using polluting powerplants (coal, oil) when there are so many great alternatives. 😄
I know, the looks of it. 😀
When you viewed the power plant belching smoke from Farmer Joe's perspective I had a vision of an astral projection of Greta Thunberg in the sky over Orchid Bay screaming "HOW DARE YOU???"
Such a wonderful build!
Great series! Eager for each new episode
LOOKS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING
Great job overcharged egg 👍
"People do live next to train stations in real life"
Aye and it drives them insane.
Nice video mate
but I think it is a little bit unreal to have all this area connected by a small road, it should have another one to the other side so it will not be a big cul-de-sac
You should try to add all the tower assets, It would look so cool
I can’t wait to check out the downtown that you are going to build.
What a fun little industrial build!! I love the mix of vanilla industry with the dlc ones, makes for a really intriguing area! I'm excited for some Orchid Bay streams! Let the shenanigans begin!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💘💘💘
Thank you Jen! Hope you enjoyed your birthday!
@@OVERCHARGEDEGG thank you, Egg, I had a lovely day!! ❤️❤️
With the tower near the train station it could be the noise from the taxi depot
Good morning Egg, great episode for Monday!
FINALLY when can I expect another Episode!!
So smiple yet impressive. Love the new city
Hey, Egg. Another outstanding build, as usual. I’m just curious if there is some type of vanilla security asset you can use at your one-way slip lane out of the power complex? Although it’s one-way, it’s not very secure in preventing unauthorized access to the complex.
Thank you for your entertaining builds!! 👍🏼
Stunning build, again .. 😀 .. as usual, egg.
Great build as usual egg!!
Can you put a pond/lake in a park at some point and also i motorway services would be so fun!
IMHO, it would be better to have 1way in and out roads to this zone for trasit. Will not cause traffic issues and transport cramping as it was once you built oil storage
Damn thats a fine build
Nice build ! but are car's the only way for the locally-based residence to get to work? (bus link)
I eagerly wait for this more than I wait for The Last of Us or Mandalorian!
Chill time😍🥰
toll booths to take advantage of the ridiculous industrial traffic to fill those storage building...I see what you did there 😉
Fence Police here; damn right you'll be cited for it
You might look into an industrial fence separating the highway from the industrial park area.
Never mind, you did it later in the show.
I'm not 100% sure but I don't think pedestrians can walk through toll booths. You might need to create a path alongside if you want some good walking p0rn. Also maybe a bus route to get workers there? ... also goes without saying but awesome build per usual
Beautiful as always! But how are you able to place trees and plants right next to the polluting industries without them dying?
When he started this series, he explained that he is using a handful of mods purely for aesthetics like camera stuff and I think that included Hide It! mod for hiding ruining from pollution.
@@dylanm1713 ah ok thank you I’ve been wondering about this
Very realistic.👍
Have to move the fire station away from the powerplants. If the power stations blows up, it takes the fire station with them.
Be carefull with node count!
New ep!
How do you super zoom in city or move through building?
ACME camera mod allows for much freer camera movements
Is the power connected?
How about build public transport for people to go there?
Please excuse my very harsh bend... only Egg 😆 Closely followed by the conga line of oil trucks 🤣
Can't wait for livestreams
Cool but busstation?
Nice build but why did you put in an unguarded entrance off the highway ramp when you have a (toll booth) security entrance on the industrial road? Not too secure a facility. Perhaps the connection to the highway ramp should be a one-way exit only.
I watched at least 50 trucks delivering to a full oil storage tank
Question 🙋♂️ I always thought the oil from the power plant is differential from the one for the industries dlc . So is that not the case ?
Correct, that is not the case. Raw oil is raw oil, no difference between the base game oil & the one Industries use
Will orchid bay replace ilos?
howdie OE, from Allenstown, NH. USA.
I doubt that people are just like this video.🤔
Poor man's surface painter 🤣🤣🤣
Where is the cooling pond?
The oil power plant says Dino oil lol
I don't know why people play vanilla. As this game is made for modding.
Just my thoughts.
