The SVS room caught me offguard. It sounded incredible in its 5.2.4 without external amps. It was awesome to hear what the speakers sounded like as I have only experienced the subs previously.

Great to see some systems that are more in the price range for us regular consumers, but still able to give a good sound experience in a normal living room 👍
Absolutely. I invited Klipsch, Monoprice and other affordable brands but they were not able to attend this year. Maybe in 2024.

I would love to get some SVS subwoofers, here in the UK they are so much more expensive:
Pb1000 pro US $800, UK $1090, 36% increase

US prices are always given without taxes, so that accounts for at least 20% of the difference (UK VAT). Add to that markup for distributors/retailers since SVS can't do direct here in Europe, and it's not that weird. Annoying, yes.

My entire 7.2.4 setup is from SVS. SVS Primes and 2x PB 2000 Pro's. They sound great!
What I respect a lot from SVS is that they are actually trying to help you out picking the right speakers for your room instead of trying to sell their most expensive ones.
SVS stopped being an affordable solution a couple years ago. I may still buy a pair of Ultra bookshelves at $1890 Canadian to match my Ultra center, but that will prob be the last thing I buy from them unfortunately.
I upgraded all my primary speakers to SVS during covid including the pinnacles...Love them. Subs are all monolith.. it was all a great upgrade.
I love SVS products and I aspire to buy 2 PB-16's once I build the house that can handle them.

Would love to see SVS go nuts with a wall of PB16s, Ultra series speakers, and Prime Elevations… and of course their mid tier Pinnacle series paired with every version of their smaller subs.
Realizing folks either love SVS or hate them. I’ve owned their products since 2009, zero complaints. They’ve always answered promptly if I have a question. From speakers to subs, everything has always has been quality at an affordable price point.

Super AWEsome!!! I love to bring Ppl in to hear Movies thru a real surround system . Because they only heard and seen movies in a theater. But at home they are blown away. And they jus can't watch movies thru TV speakers again - lol... I always want Ppl to hear and experience Home Theater. They want to watch jus about every movie again. Because they Never heard it the way its meant to be heard. And are taken by the clarity of the picture quality. So sharp & clear. I help Ppl get the best system on a budget of $1k or less and tune it to greatness. Or some1 with a bigger budget doesn't mean more expensive equipment. I go out and shop for the best system where I can get All pieces and still hav some change left over. And blow their minds with excellent PQ & AQ. They need more Demo's like this on the eastcoast. It would be a Blessing!!!
The powered bookshelves were fairly impressive and they filled a big room with sound, but I noticed they had their volume knob cranked to do it and they weren't particularly loud. Probably a decent option if your space isn't huge but they're still limited by physics so don't expect miracles from them.
I have the prime elevations for my overheads, and they're great! They also have excellent customer service which is really important.
Man, I WILL NOT miss next year!

I use the same l/c/r and have the sb16 ultra with the l/c/r on a emotiva spa gen 3. Gets loud & sounds really good.
I don’t understand why they always utilize the prime pinnacle in demos with the ultra center why not the ultra towers ??? Especially since the pinnacle is almost just as expensive as the ultras I don’t get it 🤷
Just as Nick stated in the video, they are proving you can get incredible sound from an affordable system.

That speaker set up its a little weird. Center way too low front stage not toed in. I do like how they have the atmos set up. Any body have more info what exactly they are using to hang those.
We need more obtainable HC systems like this at events especially at the 5K and 10K points 🤔... Thought it was going to be another Trinnov and kaleidoscope fest... Thank god it wasn't 🎉🎊👍

Better effect will give 2x Klipsch RP-1600SW. For the price of 2899 euros, you get the Arendal 1723 2V, slightly worse performance, much better build quality and a 10-year warranty.

Sadly I am not impressed with my 16 ultra and PB4000
They say it’s true bass. But I actually prefer boomy bass. I felt I got more bass out of my small 2 klipsch’s

Are you going to start doing home tours again? Kind of miss seeing regular folks home theaters.
I’m always willing to do them. The challenges finding ones that are local. It doesn’t make sense for me to pack up a ton of gear to fly across the country to film one home theater. And typically brands aren’t willing to sponsor a video unless it’s a really massive or high end home theater that features their product.
Noob question here: Is it the speakers that define Dolby Atmos capability, or the receiver? Speakers are just speakers, right? I’m coming from a soundbar so it’s a little confusing to me because soundbars need to support specific formats.
Blu-ray or 4K disk and some streaming media etc has Dolby Atmos encoded into the material.
Your AVR then decodes that Dolby Atmos info and sends the appropriate info to each speaker.
The speakers simply play what info they receive
I mean I guess but I could do 4 - 18" DIY for less than 1 PB 16. To ea their own.

This is our second year. We currently do not have any plans to move to a new location.
Although I am a bigger fan of JBL and Klipsch home theater speakers, I am very intrigued by what SVS has to offer in terms of sound.

Just started getting into speakers and subs, Right now I have klipsch mclaren fives with svs sb-3000, Is there a way to add speakers to the powered five's? Or would I have to get a receisir, can you use a receiver/amp with powered speakers?
SVS is great but no longer the value they used to be, not even close. I say that unfortunately.
What brand do you feel offers a better value for a similar performance?
@@Youthman as far as subs go RSL but they obviously don't have the amount of products in different sizes. JBL is a better value if you know what you are looking for.
The SVS subs have gotten way out of wack price wise. Just my opinion though. I dumped my PB2000 pro for the RSL 12S.
I agree with this, they are quite literally a premium speaker brand, they're really not affordable, I'd like to see more finish options for their speakers. With that said it puts them into that higher end bracket but they simply don't compete as much with high end brands. With subwoofers it's hard to go with them when you can get so much more for your money through so many brands (Rythmik, HSU, Monoprice, and now Klipsch just to name a few).
Sb 3000 pro is a great value has a app. The app trumps competitors. The 3000 svs line is better value then competition.
@paullordi5154 that's one feature that you pay a very high market up on when you look at measurements of the 3000 vs other brands at same price. Easily can get a dsp for other brand subs and use your phone to adjust eq. So if the app is worth several hundreds of dollars alone to someone then sure but that is just a bit rediculous.
SVS was a hit this year, and I appreciated their open approach to their products. After they were done, I felt much more assured with that recent dip of the toes in SVS territory with the PB2000s was a good move.

I had polks and replaced them with the prime pinnacles with an ultra center. I like the sound much better now. The ultra center seems to blend very well pinnacles. You can always send them back if you’re not satisfied with them. Good luck

Depends on the Polks you have, I replaced my Monitor 70s with the Pinnacles and while the Monitors were ok for a more budget option the pinnacles are a great improvement in midrange and treble to my ears. Stringed instruments just sound more natural etc. Now I just want to add more power to them vs running off my AVR, my surrounds are on separate amps but LCR is still on a Denon X3500h. I went with the SVS Prime center due more to size on my stand, but still sounds great to me.
@@davehilling3944 That sounds good, but, if I went with the Pinnacles, the center channel would also have to replace my Polk ES35. I really don’t want an over sized center channel. I have a Samsung 75” QLED tv, and have me center right behind it, which is perfect. If anything, I would upgrade to a better Polk tower speaker!

SVS did not announce any new products at the show, but did say they are working on some exciting new products.
Year after year with no upgrades to the flagship subwoofer. Time to jump ship.
Just curious what upgrades you are seeking from the PB16
@@Youthman something to compete with the competition. Higher spl at lower frequency with less chuffing. Same thing everyone that upgrades wants. So they made the pb16 and that’s it? While others release newer better subs. I remember when I got my pb16’s everyone was comparing to the captivator 14. Look at where jtr is now. And svs is in the exact same spot still.
Guess we will have to see what they have in store for 2024

Svs is not cheap or good quality. There are definitely better products like Polk Audio, Klipsch or Arendal.
Keep telling yourself that.
Although they are more expensive than when they were only selling internet direct, I still believe they provide great value and performance. As long as you find what works best for you and your budget, that’s all that matters.
@@BerserkeR_031 Compare the Prime Pinnacle to the Polk Audio R700 or the Arendal 1723 S because the biggest 1723 is in a different league. Klipsch practically in the entire series from R 800 F to RF 7 has an excellent value for money. I had an svs subwoofer which of course had a fault, after reading the forums I saw the scale of complaints about their products.
