There is a misconception out there that if you're a creator, you must use Apple. I am proof that is wrong.
I started my channel with just the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

As an invested Samsung user, can you tell me about the ecosystem's cons, compared to Apple's? Because it does seem Samsung nailed it in so many ways when you start using the products, but I see so many major complaints, like heavy battery drain in updates in the new phones and how the new phones are being abandoned by Sammy to the new ones the year after; the Galaxy Watch being worse than the Apple Watch in terms of performance; bad collection of Android streamers that are neglected by manufactures for months/years.
I want to fully return to Android, but the watch seems like a weak link, making me trust Apple again and its products.
The biggest downfall is availability. Samsung's product ecosystem isn't everywhere (mainly laptops are hard to get everywhere).
The watches are pretty comprehensive for my needs so I've never had issues.
I love my Galaxy Watch yes the Apple Watch is a little better but galaxy watch is more than enough for my needs for fitness and notifications. The rotating bezel is also amazing.
I agree about the Watch. It’s the only product that lags behind Apple.
Honestly, the s23 ultra video is a bit better than the z fold 5, but that being said, the fold is still not bad. I love your videos. I pretty much watch all of em. Keep it up.

Mate, 1.5 years in and you're already at 40K subs? I'm a year in and only just hit 800 subs. But you are totally right, I just started with my iPhone and then I got a wireless lav mic and then a Logitech streaming light so now I'm able to make some decent quality videos. Thanks for sharing this, it's totally encouraged me. Hopefully, we can meet someday as I'm in Queensland

@katawonga depends on your goal! Long form content is obviously harder to be consistent with, but can be more sustainable for success.
Advice is to focus on an engaging title, a show stopping and clickable thumbnail, and then keeping them inside the video as long as possible (long form content specifically) and then be consistent with uploading. Not necessarily one video a day, if you can do 1 video a week, do that, if it's one a fortnight, do that. Just be consistent so the audience can find you regularly!

Nice setup. I agree with you. A phone is enough, even though the portrait mode on your Fold doesn't look as good as it did on the S23 Ultra. There are a few other Tech channels I know of that only shoot from phones. You wouldn't know unless they mentioned it.
I have fully switched from android to apple, with a MacBook Air, AirPods, iPad, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
But I have a feeling I’ll be flip flopping because I’m already missing stuff from android.
Airplay? Chromecast sucks in comparison. Samsung dropped the ball on notes. Can't fathom you Can't install Samsung notes on a desktop pc. And google and microsoft dropped the ball on audio.

I too am using a Fold 5 to record content but your video looks amazing! What are you settings that you use? I have a similar lighting setup but all my video comes out super grainy. My fold 5 for recording looks like absolute shit lol. Could you possibly make a video on your Fold 5 setup more indepth especially with the settings? I would greatly appreciate it!
I wanna say thanks for thud video not only has ir answered majority of the questions thar I have but I've had apple products foe the last ten years about 2 months ago I gotta the z fold 5 coming from the 15 pro max while my wife who has a z flip and is an samsung person for life conviced me. I was wondering about the content creation and if I should go back to apple due to the fact it's advertised as better for content creators and video editors. After watching this I'll stay here and see what samsung clean do. And maybe switch to the s24 ultra due to a better camera than My z fold..can u make a video editing on your samsung laptop

Samsung needs to improve low light performance and action shots with kids before I can buy in.
This video is coming at the right time for me because I have started building my Samsung ecosystem. So far so good.
It may be better in some ways, however, the way Google and Android spy on and track your phone is simply overwhelming

Apple keep one up samsung but it probably matter to everyone. Examples if you plug a hdd to iphone pro.max it instantly records to hdd no separate app no fckn round I prefer to just plug a hdd and direct edit and not have to have my camera roll with mixed content. I absolutely love quick share no hate.
And now ability to use ur phone on ur Mac while it's locked bro that is the smallest yet biggest flex.
BTW samsung/android master here but I use iphone too making me the FTGEEK haha.

Samsung absolutely has my favorite ecosystem. I used my s23 ultra with my gamesir and backbone gaming controllers and projected gamed like Mario 3d world and Zelda to my Samsung TV and almost any windows laptop and integrates with my tab s8 as well
I love this video. Apple has tricked us into thinking we need iPhones 📱 I’m currently planning my escape. I have all the Apple products but feel bored and hate absolutely hate how much the new iPad costs basically laptop 💻 prices. I think they are gonna get worse with pricing. Samsung gives you an everything phone 📱 that can do it all. I can’t even use my iPhone when it’s to hot outside because my screen will dim and my phone will shut down. It’s really awful

Awesome stuff as always, Daniel! It's always nice to remind and/or inform others about how powerful and versatile Samsung's ecosystem can also be, mainly in comparison to the rest of the Android world.
By the way, I've been curious: why don't you use your S24 Ultra to record videos? I mean, I noticed you kept using your S23 Ultra for that even after upgrading to the S24 Ultra, and even in this video you chose to record it with the Z Fold5 over it. Is there any particular reason for that?

what amazes me about creators are their video skills, transitions etc. I'd love to do it but I find the software so complicated.
I'm the same, I'm not into transitions, I just crop in.
But as far as I understand a lot of transitions are plugins now

I'm using Samsung s24 ultra and you haven't convinced me not to use apple for content creating. I thought you had a big reason to make me not use apple, but no so the title is a bit click baity. Nowadays I think every flagship will work for you and the difference between processing power and camera are so insignificant that it doesn't matter what your preferences are.
You've missed the point of the title.
There is a concesus out there that you NEED to use Apple and you can't use anything else to create.
The title is saying not to use Apple and use that you can use Samsung.
I listed reasons why (4K Portrait Video, Quick Share, Second Screen, etc).
Creators dont consider Samsung, but they should.

It's almost like a command that implies to STOP using apple and use Samsung. It's not suggesting to use Samsung for content, its alt-right says to switch from one to another. I wish it was possible !! But I can’t get what I want from Samsung … I talked with Samsung I talked to google … it’s impossible 😰 I wanted to get a watch for my daughter where I could track her from my watch + be able to restrict contacts on her watch … it is sadly not posible to restrict contacts and you can only use smart things find from phone to track her watch… I have a Samsung tv and wish I could go all inn but sadly only Apple Watches do what I need and since I have Apple Watch I’m forced to have iPhones and so on 😅

I'm Indian. A lot of middle aged/older people and showoffy youngsters are buying iphones like crazy because of showoff.
But then When i see people who do real work, owners of very large chains of showrooms, many other company owners, techies, etc, I ALWAYS see them using S23 Ultra, or S24 Ultra.
