    In this video, we're going to color grade the same clip for two different looks: commercial vs. film.
    The commercial look is going to be more bright and clean whilst the film look will be cinematic, gritty, and dark.

    This was a great tutorial, I love how you explain everything so we know why you're doing it and not just "now we're going to do this, and then this, then that" etc. Maybe a video on lens selection or tips on working with a team!

    This was pretty interesting. I see some comments telling them to stick to what they do. Some small things to do different, but everyone has their own process. I love the fact that they are expanding outside of just sound design, although a tutorial on that in the future would be great. Keep providing great content. Someone will learn something new from watching this. Awesome sauce!!!! ✊🏾

    Show us some tips and tricks on how to tweak SFX to perfection!!!! I don't know how to use audition, it's confusing to me, you do a very good job of showing things like these in detail. Showing different techniques would be amazing

    I think it would be nice to see how you would colorgrade multiple shots in a timeline. Showing us how you would copy and paste nodes or adjust individual grades per shot, for example a musicvideo which might not always have the same lighting etc. Anyways, thanks for the great tutorial! Really helpful when switching from Premiere Pro.

      @@artlist_io I liked both since they were for 2 different uses and you nailed it. 1st looked great for commercial and 2nd looked great for film. Although I would have chosen a different grading colour combination.

    The commercial grade made more sense with this shot. The cinematic one still looked like a commercial. I would have chosen a differently lit scene. Still...good workflow and use of tools.

    Quick Tip: The "Film Looks" from Davinci expecting a cineon colorspace. So you can do a colorspacetransform in the note before ;)

      The tenet behind the commercial look is to nail the white balance. A clean, white look, and of course, perfect skin (which unfortunately he did not do).

      The primary wheels are more global and less controlled, the log wheels are more “gentle” and you can have more precision with them

    You shoot your awesome content usually with high-end cameras but in your next video a tutorial would be fun about how push a regular phone or 8bit log (like sony alpha) footage to the limit but still get a nice end result.

      It can be difficult to get that look, the key for me is really taking out color (usually mostly yellows), especially from the highlights

      I believe that 70% of the final look is achieved in Productions and 30% during colorgrading.
      Your team is amazing, they put so much effort on pre-production to simplify the whole production.

    Nice outcome, but a few questions from a noob.... why not move your whole "look" parallel structure ahead of the REC709/FPE transform? And why not use Color Space Transforms? E.g. you manually are adjusting to essentially get to cineon before your FPE instead of just using a CST ahead of the FPE.
