    Helpful tip for the stock headstrap if you wanna cheap out. Buy a wide flat sponge and use tape or something to attach it to the part that presses on the back of your head. Really helps.

    Bobo Vr with the new fan has a larger battery and better clicking into place pieces, which holds the headstrap together better. The fan can be turned on and off with a rolling finger dial from 0 to 100 fan speed. The only con is the fan can be a bit annoying but with fast pace loud games like Beatsaber its perfect. All the weight is taken off the face.

    For me the Zyber ACE (not the one in the video) combines the best of all headstraps. That was exactly what i was looking for. You can adjust it on top and back to fit many different headshapes. you can fold it so that you can easily put it on and of....and once adjusted you don`t even have to touch the knobs anymore because it tightens automatically when you pull the back part down.
    It has the top part connected horizontally and removes the front strap, so that it avoids to split your hair in the front and saves you hair style.
    And last bat not least....the Zyber ACE headstrap is not so bulky as a halo strap and fits into the original Quest3 case!

  • @covertpuppytwo3857

    I too purchased multiple Quest 3 head-straps... my favorite is the JHZWD Head Strap with Battery Pack. In second was the BINBOK VR T3 Plus Battery. For me, the Halo style strap is the most comfortable... but I really liked the Binbok's swapable batteries, and the comfort wasn't too bad. But I didn't care for much for the quality of the adjustment system in the back. If the JHZWD head strap had the same removable battery strategy as the Binbok...it would be perfect. But I'm giving up swappable batteries for now for comfort and going to stick with the JHZWD.

    • @unmatchedvalue
      @unmatchedvalue  11 місяців тому

      haha you just described the Bobovr. But I will admit the JHZWD one does look pretty comfortable.

    • @covertpuppytwo3857
      @covertpuppytwo3857 11 місяців тому +1

      @@unmatchedvalue While the Bobovr is a halo strap, it doesn't have that cross strap that goes over the center top of your head. Also, the back of head cushion on JHZWD is awfully nice and its adjuster on it is really nice. It has a push system along with the knob that Bobovr doesn't ... but you're correct, the Bobovr does have a similar battery strategy to Binbok's. I had the Bobovr2 head strap on my HP G2 ... those 2 short top side straps on the Bobovr were useless and I ultimately bent them out of the way. Again, I really liked the back adjuster knob on JHZWD and to me that makes the difference when comparing it to the Bobovr. It was solid and better quality but also flat and didn't stick out. That helps when you sit back on a chair with your Quest on and you can rest the back of your head comfortably and not feel that knob when you turn your head.

    • @unmatchedvalue
      @unmatchedvalue  11 місяців тому

      @covertpuppytwo3857 Oh I see what you mean, yeah and with the Bobo if you lean your head back the battery can get popped off too. So I can see the benefits of the JHZWD if you know what you need it for. Its not a problem for me though cuz ill usually use my quest sitting at a desk or standing, and if I need to lean back and I'm sitting anyway might as well just charge from an outlet.

      @@unmatchedvalue Changing the topic for the moment... the other issue with the Quest 3 and comfort and such... is the removable facial interface that comes with the Quest 3. I've also purchased several after-market facial interfaces, but I haven't really found one that I truly was happy with. Their either very comfortable but limit the FOV or they give me the nice FOV but hurts my nose. I have another one on order... the AMVR version 2 that I believe will arrive tomorrow but then I found another solution that I hope to order today. The other one is made by Oblik design, and it is custom made for your face. I'm really interested in their solution... but to order it you have to have a recent model Iphone to scan your face in 3d and send it to them. I use the Android Galaxy phone, so I have to borrow my neighbor's Iphone to get this one ordered. It reminds me a lot of the Bigscreen Beyond VR headset and its custom facial interface.

    • @unmatchedvalue
      @unmatchedvalue  11 місяців тому

      Yeah, I'm just using a silicone cover over the stock standard interface. I think its surprisingly a good fit for my face features. I heard a lot of people complain but with the halo style headbands ability to take some of the pressure off my face I'm actually pretty comfortable. Having said that the Oblik design one seems kind of an interesting concept. A bit on the pricey side; but might be super comfortable and help FOV.

    • @unmatchedvalue
      @unmatchedvalue  10 місяців тому

      Yes I'm using default facial interface with only a silicone cover on the padding. I haven't tried the amvr one but if you can make the bobo kind of like do a continuation of the padding on the amvr one; so like have it pretty much resting on top of the padding slightly closer to your forehead is what works best for me with my setup. You might need to move the bobo further back away from the front of your quest in order for that to work.

    • @kaijupink
      @kaijupink 6 місяців тому +1

      Hi there. I've been looking at the AMVR interface because of the four adjustment areas (rather than just the two on the stock) and I feel it might help with the awkward feeling fit on my face.
      Have you had a good experience with it overall?

  • @kaijupink
    @kaijupink 6 місяців тому +1

    I've been looking at the bobovr but I've been unsure of how I feel about the forehead band. For me, one issue I've been finding is that the best placement for the headset to have a clear view is to have it tilted down slightly (top side slightly away from forehead, bottom side closer to face) but the basic strap, when adjusting the top strap, tends to tilt the headset up, which makes the blurriness worse.
    Anyone have any info on if the bobovr or kiwi (the ones I've been looking at) help with this?
    I've also been hesitant of the bobovr because of the magnetic hotswap battery. Definitely going to check out the other video review to see what you say about it.

    • @unmatchedvalue
      @unmatchedvalue  5 місяців тому

      Sorry for the late reply, with the Bobo head strap you are able to angle it slightly because of the forehead band. I just put mine on to double check. Its not much though a couple degrees of movement. Hope that helps your decision.

    I have clip on lenses instead of wearing glasses (because glasses scratch the lenses even when you use the spacer), and you have to have the headset on a specific position on your head inorder for the lenses to look good, and with the default strap it sags and moves around a lot so oftentimes your eyes arent even in the middle of the lenses but end up near the edge or something.

    I have a quest 2 with a kiwi strap never gave me this.

    You're not putting the back strap of these straps low enough it should be hooking a little onto the lower flat part of your skull. This takes additional headset weight off your face.
    Otherwise great video and I agree totally with your assessment.

      I actually probably spent about 30 min with each of these trying to find the most comfortable placement. I don't know if its just my head shape or the way they are made but they are uncomfortable around the ears if I place it lower, and thank you hope it helped.

    Any gaming girls out there know how to stop any head straps sliding up your head because your hair because no matter what head strap i use its UNCOMFORTABLE because it wont stay in place and if i tighten it too tight it feels like my head will explode 😅

      I have long hair I had some luck with using a bobble to make a ponytail which you can poke thru the head strap and help hold the back of the strap down.

      Honestly, when I was doing research for the video; most of the reviews of the Elite strap were pretty bad. So when I took its price into account, its not something I personally wanted to use or even consider. At least as of right now.

    very funny, 9/10, every headstrap without good audio is max 1/10
    cmon people, why no one is talking about The Lack of audio solution on every single headstrap out there for quest 3. I need that speakers from Reverb G2 or Crystal.

    • @unmatchedvalue
      @unmatchedvalue  10 місяців тому

      I mean I was rating the comfort not audio. But I was able to use a pair of Audio-technica headphones with the Bobo so other headphones might work with it too. But that would be mostly for PCVR.

    i dont know why people are sayin the quest 3 is good,its naff.its clunky just like all other vr headsets,theirs always issues with settings when loading pretty much anything which puts u off even using the thing and its pretty much impossible to get a stable framerate once ur finally in a game.its basically a mobile phone in a pair of googles.its pants.i had the rift cv1,oculus s and i was expecting vast improvements with the quest 3 but its hardly better than either of those previous gen devices.that ontop of the fact its advertised and marketed as a 5gbps or 4.8 gbps transfer rate accross the usb cable but ur lucky if u will get half that.i cant hit more that 2.3gbps on a usb 3.1 gen2 a 3.0 port or a usb c port,nor a usb c 2x2 port which is rated at 20gbps on which ive tested with the quest3 only on each of the mentioned usb controllers for max bandwidth.i havnt seen one report internet wide that gets anywhere near its advertised speed.its a blatant rip

    would you recommend the kiwi battery strap?

    • @unmatchedvalue
      @unmatchedvalue  11 місяців тому

      I cant recommend something I haven't tried myself. I personally find that I prefer the Halo style bands, but ill say the Kiwi does look decently comfortable with padding in all the areas I had problems with on other head bands.
