This is an amazing song with a powerful message, about drug addiction and what kind of journey it will take your life on.
WHAT A DEADLY VERSION! I've ALWAYS loved this song, and have heard numerous live versions of it over the years, but this is the version I keep coming back to! For me, Knopfler is what makes it special for me... His guitar tone just compliments Clapton's playing so much. It creates such a magical sound, so pleasing to the soul... These are REAL musicians, no doubt about it! I feel privilaged to have been able to see them playing live over the years... SONIC ECSTASY! Respect to everyone who has found their way onto this performance and enjoys it like I do... From Davey, another musician in Éire (Ireland)
