I just started drumming and practicing my rudiments 3 months ago. At that time, I couldn't do this at all. Now that I go back on the video, I can perfectly do this. Just shows me how much I can really improve.
Hmmmmm yeah I don't believe that at all lol. You can play Swiss triplets, that cleanly, at that fast a tempo? In 3 months? Nah. Sorry. Maybe like 30-40 bpm slower, for sure. But in 3 months, that's just insane, unless you're practicing 10 hours a day
I’ve been using these warm up videos for a few years now! I couldn’t do this advanced warm up before and I just did it for the first time clean all the way through today!
I've been doing this warmup everyday before I drum. I mean yeah it's an easy warm-up but it's the concept and the fact that I have something to follow along. This is great man. Thanks for taking the time to make this possible for us.
Your leg won't give you the bounce/rebound that is needed, a pillow - even less so. You may be able to develop hard coordination, but you will not develop good technique for using actual drums without at least investing in a practice pad.
Some Bros Studios Then you learn it wrong dimwit. Learning to control and use the rebound is crucial, cuz drums have rebound. If you want to learn playing a pillow then use a pillow. I am sure you will be a hit...
Played Marching bass in Marching band for 2 years and next year I plan on trying out for snare so I'm practicing all the rudiments etc.. Thanks for the videos! :D
This is a nice warm up exercise, I do it with you twice or 3 times a week. This is really simple until the swiss triplet, from the swiss triplet until the end this is quite hard ! Thanks Jared =)
Those last two are pretty brutal to keep up for that long. Good stuff though, I've been doing singles, doubles and paradiddles as warmups for years, never thought of those last two.
Great lessons jared ! Ive been playing drums for a long time and play in a local band. Ill admit i dont practice rudiments on a pad as much as i should but ive been at these lessons for about a week now and really have improved quite a bit!
Honestly though I can’t respect him as a drummer if he is dragging straight 16th notes at 120 I mean come on. I get that he is talking but he should notice and not talk if it messes him up.
I can do the first 3 no problem following advanced but I was struggling with 4 and 5 even on basic, because of the ending turn around. I'm starting to get it on basic but it took a very long time and I had to watch like 5 other people do swiss army triplets and flam accents. I just need to work on my speed. I have no point to this comment, I guess I just appreciate all the drummers teaching and I thank you drumeo for being so awesome. Keep practicing and progress will follow.
I appreciate these videos to help this aging man get my chops back while I'm homeless and living in a car. You don't know the meaning of pain until you've maintained those swiss triplets using traditional grip on a steering wheel!
Doing this both Right hand lead and Left hand lead is highly recommended. Mainly looking at working the Swiss Triplets from the right lead and left lead respectively.
I'm definitly going to do this wednesday befor I do my drumexam so i'm warmed up and i might be able to enter the art academy :) thx for this lesson jared! You're great!!!
It's not really the sticks... what it is, at least in my case, maybe yours as well, but we tend to find it easier with our stronger hand to move the stick and get the rebound, where as with my weaker hand, It takes slightly more effort, meaning that we don't always control exactly each stroke.. So, it's possible that this is what's happening, not exactly our hands, but rather control, I've been working on a lot of exercises from this channel, and it's certainly improving, but only time can tell!
Another great warm-up, thanks Jared! Having watched the 3 videos in the proper order (beginner, intermediate and this one) I was curious to see if you spoke during #4 and #5 :p And if the speed would be 140 BPM (like 60 to 100).
really good! I ave to work a lot on my swis triplets and my flam taps, but it's really good to gey warmed up nicely and to relax the muscles! Thanks man!
Interesting how you can hear the difference between the two sticks! always bugs me, because I am worried it's the difference in my hands... but it seems to be the sticks, as you seem to experience the same thing... great video btw, will practice to it a lot ;)
When I purchase pair of sticks, I always listen to the sound they make by lightly strike them on the drum shop floor (thin carpet) to make sure they are matched for their wood sound.
If you're a marching drummer before a contest or something when you wake up you can do this. I'd just recommend doing it off the right and off the left. I'd just make sure to have much more definition between the accents and taps man. A LOT more.
Never touched a drum set in my life, but I have a decent sense of rhythm and timing, I'm constantly annoying coworkers drumming on shit at work haha. I find myself usually drumming similar patterns unconciously while I listen to music...I really want to try my hand at the skins....
I would further add (what i do, anyway) metric pulses - with metronomes that can do that. So minutes with added metrics, 5 minutes solid your way (thus feeling/hearing the inner pulses when there is "space" between main beats of the nome)
Try using heavier sticks then you normally would use to play a gig such as marching sticks this will get your hands and wrists loose. Then change back to your gig sticks and play the same warmups.
The last time I played on a snare drum, was when I was in the 4th grade. Now that I'm a sophomore in High School recently I've been wanting to join the drum line, I started beating my pen on my binder in class trying to get my hand gestures on point. You think that I could still be good at playing the drum like you were doing in this video? Does the music teacher give the band music sheets for notes like these?
Honestly, I can do the 5th rudiment better than the 4th xD My left hand just cant pace up that long... But as he said in the beginning: A challenge, and I will definitely push myself to get there...
cool exercise! this has helped me with my drum development. what bands do you play in professionally? it would be cool to see your chops applied on the band stand. have any links to live performance? thanks again for all the free exercises. cheers!
If the speed is a little high, try changing the playback speed. Some may say that’s cheating but I want to learn to do the rudiment right so I rather go slower and do it right then fast and do it wrong.
I just started drumming and practicing my rudiments 3 months ago. At that time, I couldn't do this at all. Now that I go back on the video, I can perfectly do this. Just shows me how much I can really improve.
@Smachtime literally same
3 months?! I've been "drumming" (if you can even call it that) for a year and I'll never be able to do anything like this.
Smashtime well done, keep at it !

Cool I have been a drummer all my life and can play 2 songs at once
I think the most challenging part of this is being able to talk casually throughout without messing up
I’ve been using these warm up videos for a few years now! I couldn’t do this advanced warm up before and I just did it for the first time clean all the way through today!
I just wish hed stop talking
Sounds like that Chinese table tennis championships :)

Note to self: Use a pillow next time. Now my leg knows how my snare feels x_x
Your leg won't give you the bounce/rebound that is needed, a pillow - even less so. You may be able to develop hard coordination, but you will not develop good technique for using actual drums without at least investing in a practice pad.
avrilinblood the point is to have less rebound you ignorant fruit loop
Some Bros Studios Then you learn it wrong dimwit. Learning to control and use the rebound is crucial, cuz drums have rebound. If you want to learn playing a pillow then use a pillow. I am sure you will be a hit...
i wasnt talking about playing drums. i was talking about this vid. i never practice without rebound. but it helps if you do
oh yeah
warm up ? omg, this s epic
Love these warm up. start my day with a good 5-10 minute exercise.
Best practice to get in if you can't get your set in time.
DUDE! it is just music to my ears. Thanks for all your great lessons. I have lots of things to learn from these videos

Not quite my tempo
+Hola Juan (HolaJuanTTT) yeah😂
+Hola Juan (HolaJuanTTT) *screams while scratching my eyes out of my sockets*
+Jack Webb put the video on 2x speed then ;)
Are you rushing or dragging? Lol
Honestly though I can’t respect him as a drummer if he is dragging straight 16th notes at 120 I mean come on. I get that he is talking but he should notice and not talk if it messes him up.
Cool! I am still at the beginner video, but seeing what it becomes when up to speed gives me inspiration! Can't wait to level up!!
Appreciative and thankful that you teach people how to play
Man, those swiss triplets are killing me...
SAME!!!
They are extremely rewarding though
Hey Jared, thanks for making these and putting them up. Very fun and helpful.
I can do the first 3 no problem following advanced but I was struggling with 4 and 5 even on basic, because of the ending turn around. Challenging at the tempo. When i slow it down 10 bpms i got it clean. Very cool and I will use this!! Thank you!!
BRAVO!!! Jared dude you nailed it

Great video! Today I was playing guitar together with your rhythm. It was a good experience.
We love you J-Falk!
Jared you are FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS ..........................
nice hand workout.ill keep it on my drumming..tnx teacher..from beginner to advance..
This is nice challenging. If you play bass drum instead of the click, is even more challenging.
allan1064 that actually makes it easier lmao
idk why i heard meshuggah on the 4th exsercise :D
I just realized this! Bleed!
its alot like the hertas but definetly not the same but great way to excercise that rudiment tho
I scrolled down to the comment to see if anyone else had the same thought
Practice Practice Practice :-) Never Give up

Buying my first beginner kit shortly and learning to play for the first time. I have subscribed and now watching your videos, awesome work Jared!
Thank you for sharing.
Exercise 4 and 5 is pretty tough.
I wish I could practice them in 90bpm if not 120 for the time being.
dem paradiddles got me grooving
Swiss army triplet is my favorite hand exercise to warm up with, sounds nice at 120 BPM instead of 80 however!
4:09 When the popcorns are nearly done...
The 5th exercise is still giving me plenty of trouble. Awesome warmup for sure!
Just bought a kit thnx for all the help
Super awesome and helpful videos !
the 5th exercise is rather easy for me but the fourth is a little mind boggling
Thing at the end was nuts !! Swiss cheese triplet radimaque or whatever !!!! Can’t play it but I appreciate it !!!!

Congratulations for when you get the kit and welcome to the world of drumming :)
This is awesome! Thank you for sharing Jared! :)

go for it man, it is never too late to start doing something that may change your life!!!
Thanks for the video.
Great warm ups! Thanks.
That last flam exercise, I can feel the burn, man!
I would further add (what i do, anyway) metric pulses - with metronomes that can do that. So minutes with added metrics, 5 minutes solid your way (thus feeling/hearing the inner pulses when there is "space" between main beats of the nome)
Thank you Jared and drumeo!
Killer warm-up!!
thanks Jared! Incredible!
Thanks Jared
You deserve the Nobel price in drumming.
Whoa. That is tight!
Youre the man, Jared!!
I played drums for 8 years and never did Swiss triplets, that’s such a cool rudiment
Try using heavier sticks then you normally would use to play a gig such as marching sticks this will get your hands and wrists loose. Then change back to your gig sticks and play the same warmups.
definitely practicing this before my gig tonight :)
It goes without saying that you should repeat this leading with your left (or non-dominant) hand, right?
Yay! I finally made it here!😀😀😀
Enjoy your lessons man
Nice warmup I had sped it up a min in but great workout I add diddles in
That was pretty sick
Thanks again,Jared!
wow! It truely help me in my drum lesson..

Nice sir
and if u can do same with your legs u sorted .. ) great job jared nice one inspiring
Honestly, I can do the 5th rudiment better than the 4th xD My left hand just cant pace up that long... But as he said in the beginning: A challenge, and I will definitely push myself to get there...
Hey Jared, at the 4th part of this exercise would it be recommended to alternate hands between bars?
HECK YES
cool exercise! this has helped me with my drum development. what bands do you play in professionally? it would be cool to see your chops applied on the band stand. have any links to live performance? thanks again for all the free exercises. cheers!

Its crazy that he's talking and playing like a pro at the same time.
That last exercise is completely memorizing at this speed. I'm at the beginner speed.
Jared looks so polite :)
2:37 I used to practice a lot on a pillow too, but it was getting in the way of my drumming,.
Those triplets took me so long to get perfect. but it helped so much .
What song is that tempo man ?
How much is the pad???
1
About 35 dollars
I bought mouse pad instead for 6$ and works fine in my wooden chair
@@bipultamang7061 dang and my $50 practice pad is coming in tomorrow
@@tristan3479 hahahaha
Those swiss army triplets with leading left end is tough
Jarred, you showcased right hand start and LR alteration Swiss triplets... but where is the left hand start?? (;
