Really cool vids. Really wish the assault rifle wasn't so much better than others in comparison. While every weapon has its niche, the AR's benefits most of the time lead to most players making it the backbone of their runs everytime (including me). The phoenix armor with the incinerator is a great combo to squeeze in a squad now though.
At the game's start, I set up my main ideology, and then I edited the last ideology on the list. It belongs to the 'ancients' faction, which consists mostly of people found in crypto sleep caskets. After i clear an 'Ancient danger' on my map, i open caskets and recruit the people that were inside, give them a moral guide role, and spread secondary ideology to the people i want. It's good to set up secondary ideoligion with 6 rituals that all focus on recruitment, so you get more people.

You can set up two ideologies to be individualist (Exalted diversity of thought) so they boost each other substantialy (up to +9 mood from diverse thoughts and up to +4 mood from diverse surroundings). For recruitment, try to have a high-level social warden(s), you can also try words of trust psycast for faster recruitment, buy and use Shock lances on potential future recruits during a raid, or loot Ancient dangers on other maps* You can also have 6 rituals in Your ideology that all focus on recruitment (12 with 2 ideos). *(Settle new colony -> raid danger -> get prisoners from caskets -> reform caravan with newly acquired people -> abandon colony -> go back to main colony).
