New Sway Bar Bushing from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1ASMX00520
The sway bars on your vehicle connect the shocks or struts together for additional stability. Since they have to cross the underside of the vehicle, they are attached at several points along the way. The bushings cushion and dampen those attachments to reduce noise and wear. Over time rubber bushings crack and rot, which could lead to clunking or scraping at the sway bar attaching points. This video shows you how to install new sway bar bushings on your 2004-2008 Acura TL.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2004 Acura TL
2005 Acura TL
2006 Acura TL
2007 Acura TL
2008 Acura TL

Very good video on the procedure. It's slightly more difficult doing it without a lift.
The 2003-2007 Honda Accord is pretty much identical. I did a 2005 4 cylinder. There are no lower shields to remove, and the front most shield has cutouts to let you get at the front subframe bolts. I didn't take off the sway bar end link as the bushing slides off easily with it in. The time consuming part is the rear bolt of the sway bar bushing. I had to pry down with a fair bit of force to create enough room to get a socket in there, and that was using a 1/4 inch rachet and low profile socket. It's very tight so ratcheting was a couple clicks at a time, which means prying hard for a long time with one arm. If you can get a helper to hold the pry bar it's around 20 minutes a side. Subframe lowering and raising takes only a few minutes.
Looks like a bit of a pain just for sway bar bushings.
What a PITA just for a bushing. Thank you for the video. Guessing 09 is very similar.
Nice video, the only one available for this generation of TL. I really don't want to do this, but my bushings are rotten 😒
What in the world did you do all this for all you can easily remove the bushing bolts with a swivel ratchet like I did sometimes you UA-camrs just make the job more complicated 🤦♂️
You did forget one critical procedure in order to save the steering. If you drop/lower the rear end of the sub frame to far, will the stress on the steering gear and steering column bust those components?
Greta video! I’d love to see a video of this procedure on a 2009-2014 Acura TL.
Do you have video on 2003-2007 Honda Accord front Swaybar Bushing Replacements?
Does sway bar bushing issues cause a clunking metal sound ?
can you show how to remove the transmission
+Tuong Huynh We do not have a video for this repair right now, but we'll keep this request in mind for a future video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
How about for 08-12 accord sedan / coupe
+@SickspeedJ35 Here's a how-to video for a vehicle similar to yours. These steps should be similar enough to complete this task: ua-cam.com/video/ecpn3UMlpe8/v-deo.html
Where can i get that bracket at 10:53
That's a middle subframe mount. You can get them at 1A Auto or other online retailers. 1A made a video about how to replace them. Note that the right and left ones are different. ua-cam.com/video/HwRQUbcydOQ/v-deo.html
😅 The driver side has the gearbox/pinion.... Attached to the steering column and fights the pry bar when you pry. That's the side you should be showing, really as the passenger side is about 30% less procedures
Do how to remove front sway bar pls
Fr any luck?
I think you would have to lower the subframe. Definitely not nearly as simple as the rear sway bar.
