Bought my TL a few months ago knowing it was hit and repaired; never managed to align it and I noticed that my suspension wasn't allingned with the whole mentioned @11:45 .. LOVE THAT I CAN GET THIS RIGHT!! THANK YOU!!
So the axle doesn‘t stress & you need a little opening so your strut can come out with no problem or else it’ll be a little tight in there if the axle nut is not released
Top to bottom torque specs: 23ft lbs upper control arm bolts (2) 30ft lbs upper knuckle ball joint nut w cotten pin 40ft lbs tie rod nut w cotter pin 32ft lbs upper clevice fork bolt (on the strut) 47ft lbs lower clevice for bolt w a nut (on the lower arm) Also: 181ft lbs axle nut 80ft lbs for the wheel lug nuts (5)

No reason to undo the axle nut...
I purchased some of these for my ‘06 Acura TL and the ball joint went out on one of them in under a year.
Why was the axle nut released
So no pressure on the joint
So the axle doesn‘t stress & you need a little opening so your strut can come out with no problem or else it’ll be a little tight in there if the axle nut is not released

Is a wheel alignment needed if the tie rods were not adjusted???
