    Hi, awesome BBK option! I am surprised not more people have done this.
    This 100% bolt on? No adaptor plate required?

    • @romeo291
      @romeo291  3 місяці тому +1

      Trust me, I was surprised as well. I spent a lot of time trying to find someone who did this but couldn't find anyone posting any info. Then once I did it and posted the tutorial, I started seeing people commenting that they've done it. Like bruh, people were keeping this a secret apparently. And yes, 100% bolt-on, no adapter needed whatsoever.

    Do the rubber brake lines work? Or upgrading to steel brake lines necessary?

    • @romeo291

      of course the rubber lines work, upgrading to stainless steel was just my recommendation.

    • @romeo291
      @romeo291  Місяць тому +1

      Yes, once I get to it, I will post a video for that upgrade as well. But in short, you can use W204 C63 AMG calipers for the rear. They bolt right up, no adapter needed.

    • @romeo291

      @@hassan_ksu no, they are smaller, the fronts have 360mm rotors, rear uses 330mm.

    Hello it will work with the 344mm disk ?

    • @romeo291
      @romeo291  3 місяці тому

      I am not sure what you're trying to do, but it's important to use the correct disk with the right size and offset so that it fits properly. I would recommend sticking to the disks made for the calipers.

    Did you change anything from the back brakes??

    • @romeo291
      @romeo291  13 днів тому

      At the time of making this, I just upgraded the rotors to slotted/cross drilled rotors, but I have C63 W204 AMG calipers that I will install in the back. They are a direct fit as well, so no additional brackets needed.

  • @hotpxl618

    Question, it's it possible to see the brake lines on the back? Or get the part numbers? Getting confused on ebay because some sellers don't list if the caliper came off a 4matic or a rwd. Is there a visible way to tell the difference?

    • @romeo291
      @romeo291  3 дні тому

      I wish I could show you an image, but the brake line on the RWD models is centered and comes into the caliper in the same direction as sliding the brake pads in and out. On the 4matic model, the brake line is more off-centered and comes at an angle but almost perpendicular to the caliper. If you search "4matic CLS550 calipers" on ebay, you should see some calipers that are bulgier on the back, if it's bulky in the back, it's for a 4matic. Hope that helps.

    Why didn't you retrofit the C63 calipers and rotors?
    I did this by myself and it's a pretty easy thing.

    • @romeo291
      @romeo291  4 місяці тому

      There were several factors. The first is costs, the C63 calipers go for around $1000-$1,500 for a set, whereas these go for around $400-500. After you get the C63 Calipers, you will need an adapter, which costs around $500, or you can CNC your own (which I don't have the ability to do). Another major factor was that the C63 Calipers were also much bigger, which would've made clearance with my wheels impossible. I wouldn't have been able to fit it at all. I already have to run 20mm spacers to barely clear these brakes, and that was the smallest spacers I could fit and still get clearance. Lastly, I just wanted the BBK look, and this achieved that at a fraction of the costs of the C63, I didn't need the extra 2 pistons as the stopping power for this setup was already significantly better than stock.

    • @Feindflieger1
      @Feindflieger1 4 місяці тому

      @@romeo291 Ok, I get your arguments and I didn't consider the inner diameter of your rims. Here in Germany a used set of C63 Calipers is about 800,- plus new brake pads, new OEM rotors about 400,-
      Right, I used Aluminum Adapters for the front Calipers, they are about 150,- And I can recommend Steel Flex brake lines (If you haven't done this already)

    • @romeo291
      @romeo291  4 місяці тому +2

      @@Feindflieger1 yeah, honestly, I was actually going to do C63 calipers until I realized it wouldn't work with my wheels. It was a gamble for me to try these because I couldn't find anybody that did them already, so I did some research, realized it would fit and made this video to help other people have another option to upgrade their brakes. I definitely also did the stainless steel brake lines as you can see in the video. I definitely recommend doing that, they feel great.
